I feel the restaurant had been over booked therefor staff were hurrying you as they wanted the table. We ordered bhargi starters which we had to ask for as they were going to start bringing out main course, waiter said sorry I thought you wanted it all together I just felt they wanted to get all the food out so you could eat and leave. Food was lovely as ever, I just think they had overbooked and couldn't cope. The Sambuca shots were very much appreciated though.

Great restaurant. Very accommodating for our large (12) group. Had an issue taking the order, but very quick service still. Very reasonably priced too.

I arranged an xmas meal for my research department at the Bayleaf Kitchenhouse. The staff were very attentive, they remembered who ordered what and ensured we were happy throughout the evening. The service was excellent. There was 12 of us and it worked very well.

Visited here on Saturday night and it was busy....but still received our meal without a long wait. It was absolutely brilliant. Staff are are so curtious and friendly.....🥰

Overall a great evening with the restaurant very busy. Had a large and very noisy / boisterous group next to us who did not show consideration to all guests.

Although very well presented, the food quality was sadly average.

Went to the bay leaf kitchen as me & my husband was staying in Southampton for a few days . We was made so welcome when we arrived for r meal. Could not fort the food. The wine was great nice & chilled. The poppodums waso good & lovely selection of chutneys. The starters was good the mains was very lovely real Indian food. We also had a dessert very nice. Also coffee. The staff was also very lovely & really great service. Would recommend it to anyone. Would definitely go back again. 😊

Both the food and the service was excellent. We all had an enjoyable experience at The Bay Leaf.

Booking was for 6 people at 7.30 on a Saturday evening so extremely busy; we had to wait ten mins for previous party to leave table but this was perfectly acceptable. Menus were delivered and drinks served almost immediately. food order taken when we were ready and served in a timely fashion even though the restaurant was full. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly and we didn't feel at all rushed. As ever the the FOOD WAS WONDERFUL, easily the best Indian food in Southampton, fully deserving of a max score. I guess the only minor criticism would be the eerie green lighting which does no one any favours and the hard surfaces (floor, walls, mirrors) which ramps up the volume level particularly when busy, making conversation difficult. Food and staff are BRILLIANT however. Highly recommended

Very busy and great atmosphere little bit of a wait for our table but it was Saturday night and peak time we were offered a drink at the bar so no problems, will return again for sure
