3rd time I’ve been here, took 2 friends who’d never been , and their reaction to the service and food was fantastic, the attention to detail is first rate, I don’t think I’ve ever heard so many compliments, they will definitely be regular visitors, hopefully with me!!Ive eaten at plenty of Indian restaurants and I can safely say this is the best one ever, but don’t take my word for it , let the food & service speak for itself!!

I was looking for last minute birthday meal for a friend and came across Bayleaf. A very nice and cosy restaurant in the centre of Southampton. The food itself is authentic, real Indian - wise selection of dishes available - no matter whether you like your curry very hot and spicy or mild, you will find something for yourself here! Good value for money too. The restaurant is also very popular among takeouts and food delivery services - you constantly see someone coming to pick up an order or phoning to place one.

Lovely staff and food really looked after my son with multiple food allergys made him plane chicken accomadate he ate the lot would defo recommend.

Really nice restaurant with excellent food, reasonable prices and superb staff. Everyone was super helpful and happy to help. Will absolutely visit again when we are in town.

The food and service are excellent - thoroughly recommended. It's also excellent value for money. It has now become a regular place to go for a curry.

Enjoyed the evening, food good, staff good, needs something to keep front door closed as people were leaving the door ajar and was very drafty on the back!!

It’s very rare for me to write a review but the flavour and taste of Indian food we had today forced me to write one Absolutely lovely staff and amazing food One if the best Indian food in UK ( better than most famous places than London ) Thanks for making my wife’s Bday special

Very clean restaurant which serve the best curry in Southampton. The staff are polite and make sure you have a great meal and each course is always served on time. I have been there four times now and will be there again.

Never ever had a bad meal here. Just put yourself in their hands and let them bring you what you like. The service is always impeccable

Awful table.........looking at peoples backsides all evening. Service was also poor, after 20 mins wait had to ask for drinks that where ordered, WE WERE 2ft AWAY FROM THE BAR!!!!!!!

Excellent customer service, great value for money. This is a different type of Indian cuisine to what is out there at the moment, different flavours, fresh ingredients and creative dishes.

Loved the food but didn’t like the long wait and certainly didn’t like to be rushed when paying the bill. Waiter came over twice for payment very shortly after we were given the bill.

Very attentive service. Interesting menus with traditional and new dishes. Good quantity and quality. Reasonably priced wine list. A lot of attention to detail with fresh flowers and very clean.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is excellent, as is the service. There is a good choice for vegetarians and there is a wonderful freshness about the flavours that you don't get very often.

Absolutely love this restaurant. If you enjoy good food then you have to try The Bay Leaf. The flavours are amazing. Staff are friendly without being over bearing.

We had a lovely date at Bayleaf kitchen. The food is truly amazing. As a starter, we decided on the kebab platter for two, at the recommendation of the owner who was nice enough to replace the prawn because of an allergy to crustaceans. As mains, we had Gosht Dum Nihari(Lamb Shank) and Chicken Cafreal, which I both recommend. The staff was great and catered to all our needs. My only issue is that the lighting is quite dark, which means you don't see your food very well! But that's not really a problem and it doesn't affect my opinion of the restaurant.

Great food, great service. Definitely a favourite. It's been busy every time I've been there which is a good sign and you never feel neglected or rushed.

Made reservation even though it was a Monday night. Took recommendations from the owner which were perfect. Excellent Indian food coupled with prompt and attentive service. Highly recommended.

Another great meal here. 10 of us dining all having different meals and they got it out in no time and tasted delicious. Service great too. Planning to go back with my husband soon.

Great service as is always the case at Bayleaf Kitchen. I did find the chicken Cafreal too salty on this occasion but otherwise we enjoyed the food.

Great food, great service, good price. When a resteraunt is busy early on a Tuesday night you know it's popular. A bottle of wine was reasonably priced as well. We would definitely come here again.

Meal was fine but we're asked to vacate the table too soon and move to front of the bar, where the door was constantly ajar and very draughty, and busy with take-away customers. Spoiled an otherwise nice meal. This had happened on a previous occasion.

Service, meal and atmosphere was great. Would go again based on this experience. Used the meerkat 2 for 1 but I’m not to sure if the restaurant where aware of how that actually works but it still was a lovely meal.

Unbelievably good food and very reasonably priced. I have already booked our next visit and cannot recommend Bayleaf Kitchen enough. Food is unique and of the best quality

Excellent experience. Very nice people and the food was really good. They were very busy but the service did not suffer. We will go again.
