Bhajis were a bit dry, but otherwise all very nice with friendly staff, and considering how busy it was due to the boat show, they coped with everything very well 👍

Fabulous food - delicious flavours and very fresh taste, not like usual Indian food. Great service despite being busy, very friendly staff and Manager. No problem recommending this to others.

Fantastic meal again. The best curry in Southampton by far. Would definitely recomend to everyone who enjoys good food. Staff are very polite and attentive.

A very busy gem, food was authentic and well cooked! Service was attentive and considering how busy they were was not bad. Not surprised they were turning people away! Book ahead to avoid disappointment! Good tasty meal for a reasonable price!

The Indian food is one of the best in Southampton, would recommend trying the fish and lamb curries. Great staff who are happy to help and recommend dishes.

The menu is a bit different from other Indian restaurants, lots of unusual dishes. Food is well presented. The staff all work very hard to please.

Food was impressive compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, but service was slow and inaccurate. Improvement to the service would make this a really good restaurant

First time I've had a curry with the chicken still on the bone. Service pleasant Had worse curry's. First time we've been there so need a second visit

We are a group of friends who meet every month or so - usually for a curry - and have been here several times before so knew what to expect. We weren't dissapointed on this visit. As usual, the food was excellent, as was the service. The restaurant is clean and bright and we especially appreciated the air-conditioning in the current hot weather spell! Thoroughly recommended!

The food was good but slow service. I liked the atmosphere of the place and would recommend it to other family and friends. I liked my main the most.

Food was great had the chicken tikka butter chicken. Unfortunately the service was quite slow, had to wait 1hr for the food and 20 mins for the drinks then when it came to paying took them 30 mins to come back with a card machine

We came for the first time last night Friday 27th April . The food was really good , the only down thing was that the table wasn’t ready at 8pm as the people before were not finished in time

Friday night and the restaurant was full. The staff are very friendly. The food was very good, we had friends from the US who hadn’t had Indian food before and this was a fantastic place to go for their first experience.

Bay Leaf Kitchen has the best curry in Southampton. The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive. I don't eat out much as we eat pretty well at home, so when I do head out I hope to enjoy it and eat something we'd never have at home. This was a first visit and we'll definitely be going back!

Nice restaurant, great attentive staff and good food. Very complex flavours and large portions give this restaurant the edge The flavours may not always be what you're used to but, if your new to this region of curry cooking, its best to take advice from the staff , who will guide you through the extensive menu. Very good value for money.

Our first time at the Bayleaf Kitchen and was very pleased with our evening there. The staff were absolutely first class from start to finish and the food , truly exceptional. Was the best Indian restaurant we have eaten in and definitely the best food too. Will return in the near future. Brilliant!!!

Always a pleasure to eat here, with the friendly welcoming team. Food good, especially the fish curry and some of the vegetarian dishes. Several large groups having celebrations meant there was a really lively atmosphere and staff were rushed off their feet. But still very good service.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was very good and of a high standard. I will be happy to go again.

Service was quite slow & had to ask for the bill several times. I ordered shredded chicken breast which was clearly thigh meat which was disappointing. I came here previously & really thought it was incredible but the other night it felt like I was in a totally different restaurant. The chicken apparently was to be served on a hot plate but this also wasn't the case. Very disappointing for somewhere that I truly spoke very highly of to friends previously.

Superb food and attentive friendly staff. I can see what the place is so popular! We went as a couple and we’re seated within three minutes of arriving. We would both definitely visit there again and certainly recommend to anyone wanting beautifully cooked and presented fine Indian food.
