An enjoyable evening...service was great, food lovely, with good choice to cater for all choices. We were last to leave but at no time made to feel that we had to go. Noise levels were quite high but that was because the restaurant was full and everyone was enjoying themselves.

First time here and it won’t be my last. Food and service were great.

our guests had the burger but it look dry though they said it was OK. The bacon in it looked very tough. My pasta though was brilliant and Jy husband's duck delicious and cooked to perfection.

Came today (29/12/19) for Sunday lunch with two besties and it was just an amazing visit from start to finish with ambience, our table upstairs, the service and food quality all being spot on. We will be back soon 😃

Food was exceptional and the general ambience of the pub/restaurant was lovely. Perhaps a slight bit rushed to order our food but they weren't pushy when we asked for more time to choose. Overall would definitely recommend.

This is our second visit to the Blackbird, with the same friends. Excellent food, we travelled from Washington ( Tyne and Wear) so quite a distance on a miserable wet night but worth the effort. We will return

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thought desserts were rather expensive so did not partake, though we did have coffee with a mince pie, which was a lovely touch.

Will be returning as it was perfect for our first date.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the food was fresh, tasty and not overloaded with carbs. Most importantly they were able to supply a diabetic pudding, having been given a reasonable amount of notice. Could we perhaps find a diabetic dessert appearing on the menu at some point?
