Bock Bière Café

Bock is amazing we are always made to feel special and the atmosphere is relaxed and cool. The food is delicious and very reasonable and the portions are large, great to soak up the vast selection of Belgian beers. Well recommended to visit if you are a beer lover.

The food was beautiful, friendly staff and great service. Had the Sunday roast fondue, and then beef was amazing. Also had the chocolate fondue, only complaint, I would have preferred more waffle. More than enough food for the 3 of us that went.

What a great place for a Sunday lunch, enquired about a vegetarian Sunday Roast with the gravy fondue when we booked and it was bloody lovely. Thank you BBC, brilliant setting and a kool atmosphere!!

Frites we're soggy and it would have nicer to have had the option of a single serve of modules frites and fondue instead of having to share. We were disappointed although the beer was lovely.

Nice beer and food, a bit different from the usual places. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I would definitely go back.

This is an amazing place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, tasty satisfying food and a plethora of beers and cocktails. What's not to like?! Already booked our next visit.

what can I say apart from WOW - building & decor & fabulous, staff very friendly - you must try the Sunday Roast Fondue - it's gorgeous, will be going back very soon, can't wait.

Fantastic place, food was fab, especially the chocolate fondue. Staff were lovely and had plenty of time for you. Definitely will be going back again.Husband loved the Belgium beers, it reminded us of many lovely weekends in Belgium. Xx

Awesome Sunday roast. Great selection of beers. Friendly and efficient staff. Great value for money. All set off by some fab jazz music on a Sunday afternoon. We'll be back.

This place can get busy so booking is essential, especially at the weekend. The staff are really friendly and the bartender was really knowledgeable about beer and helped us try something different. We also had the fondue which was delicious :) can't wait to go back to try some more of their food!

Visited twice the same evening. For party of 8 we were given a table upstairs in the bunker type area, felt detached from the rest of the bar much preferred it downstairs where a couple of us returned later that evening. The atmosphere was much better even though it was late, will def visited again but will request not to be given the table tucked away upstairs.

Staff were friendy and accommodating. Food and atmosphere were great. Sharing plaster and moules were really good. Definitely recommend - will go again for sure.

Love this place!! Only thing is device was abit slow. Other than that, perfect! The food is excellent and you could spend hours trying all the different beers

Great beer (but very expensive), great service and a nice atmosphere. The food was mostly good, but the sharing platter was let down by the soggy, limp chips.

A quality little bar serving lots of really nice European beers (and other drinks). Nice surroundings, table service, good food and drink , what more can you ask for?

Great beers, especially the option to have 3 1/3 pints of on tap beers for tasting. Food was great too, will definitely be coming back to Bock!

First visit to this cafe with family, I loved ever minute of it, the rustic feel, the atmosphere and the staff were great, we had so much fun with one of our waiters. I loved the food, we had mussels and four of us shared it as a starter, it came with lots of bread and fries, which were delicious, two of us had the cheese fondue and there was plenty of food. Would have liked to try the sharing platter but will on our next visit. Will definitely go again.

2nd time here. Lovely place to relax with friends. Nice ambience, great choice of beers. Staff serving were abit miserable and service was slow. Food platters weren't quite as good as previous experience, seem to provide more bread to compensate for reduction in other bites. The meat platter should have had pork but didn't - no apology or substitution.

Table was ready and waiting on time even though the place was very busy and popular on a Friday night. Excellent service and great range of beers and food to sample.

The food, service and atmosphere were all superb. We will definitely be back. The background music was right up our street as well. If you are looking for a quality, relaxed, city centre experience without pretension this place is perfect.

The selection of beers and the atmosphere is great however the service was terrible, it took almost an hour for our food to arrive and we were forever trying to catch the attention of a waiter as they only seemed to come round about every 45 minutes.

I am from Belgium and I really enjoyed it, beer menu is great! However, I ordered a sharing board (called Olandese or something like that) and each element was nice but together it didn't really work (camembert, chips and cornichons don't go very well together...) But my friends ordered the baguettes and were really happy with it. So, good experience overall and would definitely recommend it!

We had booked ahead to ensure we got a table as it isn't a massive venue. The tables are a little close together but that doesn't detract from the experience and the fact that it is table service means you don't need worry about getting to the bar. Very attentive staff who ensured all the tables were looked after. We had the sharing platters and they were really good as is the range of beers available. Will definitely be returning.

Had a great afternoon here,we had a vegetarian sharing board which was very tasty! The place has a great atmosphere,great selection of beers and friendly staff,would definitely recommend this place!

The cafe was an amazing experience as it was my boyfriends birthday and I surprised him by taking him to this cafe. I walked past it one day and instantly wanted to go there and I was not let down. I got the Italiano baguette and for £7 let's just say I left feeling extremely full. You get so much food for you money and the chips were unreal. The beer was not disappointing either and there was a large variety to chose from. I would definitely reccomend this place to anyone looking for a bite to eat and some nice beer. 10/10

Lovely intimate bar with a fanstastic selection of Belgian beer and table service which is a big hit with me. Far enough off the beaten track to avoid idiots :)

Looks inviting and money has been spent on the building's renovation, so first impressions were very good. There's atmospheric lighting and matching decor plus comfortable seating, but it was rather chilly sat on the ground floor and echoey too. Loos are quite the hike, on the 2nd floor. Beer selection is distinctly average and overpriced, all the usual names at eye-watering prices. Yes, these are strong imported beers but there are suburban bars in Manchester with more variety. Food menu did not look tempting at all, a step above bar snacks really.

First off let me say I like Bock bier cafe and will be returning but at our last visit we had a couple of issues. They were very understaffed - with 1 stressed out girl having to manage front of house and the bar on her own! This meant - despite her bety efforts - service was uncomfortably slow. Second issue is the tables have been rearranged on the first floor and 2 people in our party hit their heads on a low slung light fitting - it is a solid wooden and glass construction with a considerable weight! Food is good and beer is great

Great atmosphere. The place slowly filled up after 3pm in the afternoon but the staff managed to be attentive and deal with it. Thoroughly enjoyed our fondue and cocktails. Will be back.
