Côte Barnes

We had to wait an hour for our meal because there was a large party. Surely other customers shouldn't have to wait so long just because there is a large booking.

Thought the food, service and general ambiance were excellent . Shall definitely come again. Have been to other Cotes but this was the best I’ve been to. Great location and building.

Thanks to all the staff today especially manager at the front of the house. Despite being busy we had wonderful service, well managed and food was very good too.

A very large Cote Restaurant, Cote is one of my very favourite places to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff always friendly and accommodating and the food is consistently good.

This is a lovely restaurant right on the pond in Barnes. Pleasant ambience and great service every time we’ve been. Price wise it’s as you would expect £30-35 per head for dinner without wine - add a bit extra for desserts they’re excellent.

Cote is our family favourite but we tried the Barnes branch for the first time. Really beautiful space, food is excellent as usual and very friendly staff. The restaurant was not packed on a Saturday afternoon, which was nice. Great place for any occasion.

It was a busy Saturday night - staff were lovely but a bit over stretched, possibly a rush after the literature festival right outside the door closed for the day. I mentioned that my dish was overcooked - immediately taken away and replaced with no quibbles., Waitress was very nice and friendly and the food (with the exception of the dish replaced) was usual good quality. Would consider not going again on a Saturday night - it just seemed more stressed a bit messy in the public areas.

The welcome for my daughter and 2 grand daughters (one of whom is disabled) was lovely, the choice of food excellent and the care in ensuring that the celiac child had gluten free was exemplary.

Good choice of enjoyable brasserie dishes on the menu with interesting specials. Wine list is good too but could benefit from broadening at the lower-end in price terms. Great ambience in the Barnes restaurant and good to see the outside tables on use. Staff friendly and professional. Excellent, well done.

The staff were very helpful, friendly, attentive and served us well. There were no long delays with the food and tasted well. We will be going back.

Our food was delicious and very good value. The experience was enhanced by excellent service. As an neighbour of Cote Barnes I feel very fortunate to have this neighbourhood brasserie right on my doorstep, overlooking Barnes Pond and right nextdoor to our community arts centre!

Our starter and main courses both came very late. Vegetables with main came 5 minutes after the main! We had to ask for them despite having ordered initially. The bill was also incorrect and we had to point this out too.

Again another brilliant meal this time breakfast which was delicious and as there was a slight mistake we were compensated generously! So as usual wonderful service and care from Cote!

Always great service, the food was delicious, so was the wine and especially so because we had a complimentary bottle of wine for signing up. It is a pity you didn't come here years ago. Never disappoints. All the best, Julia

Had a fantastic family / birthday dinner with great food and fantastic service! This is a lovely place you would like to visit over and over again!

Slightly changed menu from what I got! The waiter however was very helpful to explain.

The food is good but usually I barely find on the plate all the ingredients mentioned in the recipe. Like it would say it has olives or potatoes or croutons or anything else in the mix would be lucky to find more than 2 in some cases.

Pleasant interlude in a busy day: vegetarian breakfast for two served quickly after ordering, well presented and delicious. The only downside was a well-meaning but over-anxious waiter who frequently needed to ask whether the food was OK.

Very enjoyable evening, wonderful friendly efficient attentive staff. Noticed a kindly waitress helping an elderly gentleman with his coat on his chair. Food was very well seasoned and served quickly. Service was not intrusive. Have always rated Cote for its food and welcoming staff and the Barnes restaurant is an excellent example of good food at a reasonable price. Jeanette Sanders

Great experience. Perfect location. Attentive service and consistently well prepared and presented food. Love the conservatory style layout. Also appreciate the friendly layout for senior mums with no major steps for access or to the “powder rooms”.

Fabulous view of Barnes Pond and absolutely delicious lunch beautifully served. Great value and we’re so lucky to have this smashing local eatery.

Excellent setting, service and cooking, I had the set three course menu, would visit again if I was in that area, worth a detour as they say,

Delightful greetings on arrival, everytime. The set dinner choices are first class topped Everytime with excellent,caring service. Please do not change. A wonderful asset to Barnes in a delightful location. One benefit us we have never come across a dog! I hope it's the policy as the rest cafes/eateries,with few exceptions in Barnes are plagued with them. Love dogs but not at and under tables where I eat.

Another great experience. Food excellent again. Received our Kir royales on cue which were on email offer. Attentive service. A Candle on the creme caramel to recognize my mums birthday would have been the icing on the cake. Oh well. Probably the best Cote layout that we have been to and there have been a few. I marvel at the consistency of food experience. Nice job.

Had a lovely meal in this light and airy restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and didn’t rush us. Had a great evening with friends. We will be going back soon.

Friendly helpful staff . Barnes Cote is a nice venue. The food is typical Brasserie style, well presented. We finished with a Crepe Grand Marnier which was excellent.

Excellent experience as always, great service, great food, friendly, professional service, great atmosphere. Very enjoyable, great location, nice layout, will return, highly recommended. Ten out of ten.

The April lunch time set menu was very well planned with excellent choices. The quality of all the dishes were tasty, easily could have been coming from a 'named' Chef kitchen and not from a brasserie chain. Friendly service, specially from our waiter taking the orders, called Istvan.

What a lovely meal - and with excellent staff. From the first time we entered the restaurant until we left 2 hours later we had a great experience. A very enjoyable Mother's Day Lunch. Thank you :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

The staff were friendly and attentive, never pushy but always there when you needed them, the food was very nice and well presented, a very enjoyable lunch.

I happened to mention it was my husband's birthday when booking - what a treat! We have been thoroughly spoilt today and his birthday has been made so special not only by the super food but by the extra super service. Many thanks! First Class experience!!

It was all very good, I love going there. Food lovely, service very good. It was a bit too noisy but it was very busy (Mother day).

Consistently good food, excellent service, great value! We always go to a Cote for breakfast, the coffee is so good, and the standard of food and service is always excellent in every branch we have been to.

Mother’s Day brunch was awesome! It was our first time at the Barnes Village branch and we really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere there! Thank you very much, J.

The food was delicious as always and we enjoyed the complimentary gin and tonics. The seating arrangements in the Barnes restaurant are problematic, especially with a baby. We were seated on a table in the middle of the restaurant and had to keep moving the pram to let people past. The tables are too close together so people were constantly bumping in to our chairs. I think that if customers have a pram they should be seated in a corner area to prevent this from happening.

Standard of food and service is always very high. Very much enjoyed the free champagne celebrating 1st anniversay at Barnes.

We had a very lovely meal last night at Cote. We shared the crab and avocado mayonnaise to start, than my brother had fish goujons and I had pork belly with dauphinoise potatoes and peas. The food was lovely and very well cooked and we had the cote gin and tonic to accompany our food. The reason for the 5 stars was because it was quite hard to hear what my brother was saying despite sitting opposite each other. It also got very hot in the restaurant despite sitting near the door.

Staff welcoming and very helpful. Great service, nothing too much trouble.

Another excellent meal we can’t help just going back again and again always meeting friends who feel the same when there. The service is excellent atmosphere just right and most importantly food delicious and so well presented with a reasonable bill at the end. Thanks to all

Service was very slow. No filter water was offered. One of our guests who was celiac, checked a dish with the waitress. She checked with the chef about a dish, but didn’t come back to confirm. The dish without a Gluten Free flag which it would normally have( usually the manager would take the order when gluten free) nobody checked to see if our food was okay. The table took time To be cleared.Everything else was to standard. We were overcharged for the bill at the end by £8 this was rectified but for this I would expect service to come off or manager to apologies considering how quiet the restaurant was.

I love the restaurant but I have to say In Westbourne Park the staff are more welcome, nothing wrong with the one in Barnes some of them are so Nice like a lady always so nice ... the girl in the glasses as well but some is a bit close face ... but nothing bad 😬but the girls there are more welcoming. Thanks I love the food .

Amazing food and service. Seven of us went for breakfast, it was great food and good value!

A great venue, excellent service always great value. We were 10 , 6 adults 4 kids, so it’s fab that the kids can get down and play outside where we can still see them We will be back for sure Brian Teale
