Has a wonderful lunch, food was beautiful and the service was great. My fav place in Chester .

No acknowledgement that it was our wedding anniversary. Last year we did have a complementary drink. Service upstairs was not up to par. We are regular patrons and have had much better experiences.

Good food and a pleasant Server but; A server taking a selfy for a neighbouring table by leaning across OUR table was intrusive and disrespectful. We were a table of two. We were seated within a few inches of a very noisy large group. We had to ask twice and wait 15 minutes to get the bill (the first person we asked apparently forgot). Then we waited another 10 minutes to pay. In Chester I'd suggest Chez Joules instead - better food and a more pleasant environment.

Great welcome as we arrived, great service throughout our waitress was lovely and so helpful, delicious food and great price we used the before 7pm deal.

Had a lovely meal and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely come again. Liked the idea of the monthly specials and chose my meals from there.

Food and service equally as good as on our last visit and it was good to see the restaurant busy on a midweek evening which says a lot. Look forward to returning soon

We booked an early table, and arrived upstairs with only two other small tables seated. 20 minutes later we were offered a drink, which we felt was too long when there were five people behind the bar all talking. We sat down to starters around 50 minutes after we arrived, which were very nice. The mains were beautiful, apart from one half chicken which was pink and inedible. Unfortunately, the restaurant was SO busy at this point we were unable to flag anyone down to ask for it to be changed, so it was just left. We ordered desserts which arrived 50 minutes later - at which point we had considered leaving. Sitting upstairs, the room was full by around 730pm and it was literally impossible to hear the person next to you it was SO noisy. Other eating places in Chester are noisy, but this was a whole new level!!!! The waitress who served us was just wonderful - she was so friendly, so polite and so accommodating. She also apologised for the wait, and deducted some drinks from the bill due to the excessive wait time which we appreciated. Overall, the food was very nice - pink chicken is an absolute NO for anyone, so this was disappointing. The one waitress was wonderful, however it was so busy that it was impossible to catch anyone's attention if you wanted a drink or something was wrong. Sadly, we would not return.

Such lovely food - the starter, the main and the dessert. Staff were great too and service was excellent.

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary on a Saturday night. The staff greeted us with congratulations, a free drink and we were able to sit anywhere we wanted. We were spoilt rotten with the staff being very attentive, fabulous food and a relaxed atmosphere.

3 meals lovely one salmon not , but had another and was the same not cooked the staff very nice sorted us out with a compementry drink overall lovely thank u all will call again

Lovely food and friendly service. Only negative is that they didn't have any of the April special main course left. I was surprised as it is the special dish and I really wanted to try it.

This is an exceptional chain of restaurants. The choices are varied and well thought out. Above all imaginative and delicious. The staff are, without fail, courteous and polite. Just love Cote!!

Decent enough place for lunch - just found on internet search. Very friendly staff and obvious many customers return judging by their welcome. I will return when next in Chester.

Another excellent meal (the third we have had with you since moving to Chester just before Christmas!) The two of us had booked in response to your email offering complimentary St-German G&Ts and the new March Specials Offers. Two friends then joined us for the meal and they enjoyed the food, wine, good service etc. as much as we did. Cannot wait for our fourth visit at some stage!

Very disappointing. I booked having experienced an excellent meal in Godalming Surrey and expected the same outstanding standard. Staff were badly trained stretching across customers to serve food rather than go round the table. I was told the ice cream was made on site but it turned out to be mass produced centrally in London and was very ordinary. The manager was scruffy. No bread served with the mussels so we ordered bread and received a massive decorative loaf which was not what was expected. Coffee etc was served before our deserts arrived which again was not what we wanted. It was a great shame as my son had come up from London to celebrate his birthday with his family and it certainly was not the memorable meal we had expected.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food -we really enjoyed our meal! The staff were all very friendly The only negative comment was that the tables for 2 were a little too close together

Cote is my favourite restaurant chain and Chester does not disappoint. A wonderful family meal, gorgeous food and great service as always. I can highly recommend it.

Breakfast at Cote Chester always a great experience! Good consistently very good and staff always attentive and friendly. Great menu choices from coffee and a crisssnt to a full English and the best boudin noir (black pudding) we’ve ever had. Great for lunch and dinner too.

Loved our meal, great staff really friendly made my husbands biurthday very special. We will definetley try out other Cote Braseries in the future. 5 star

Côte is one of our favourite restaurants; this was our first trip to Chester’s Côte and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Ambiance relaxed and calm, food wonderful, some of the best mussels I’ve had; drinks great. It was a birthday lunch which the staff at Côte made really special. We’ll be back.

First time we have ever taken a fixed priced menu for Valentine’s Day but as we hav3 had always had fantastic service and food in the past we thought we would try it. Disappointed as food had obviously been prepared in advance - the smoked salman starter had been sitting on the plate for several hours as the almond was drying out. The haddock main course was also dry and unexciting. The win3 pairings were unimaginative and we would hav3 been better choosing a bottle of our own choice. We were served 2 different wines with out main and when we mentioned this to the waitress she said she would bring the bottle to the table which never happened. Overall a disappointing evening. Although will return will not use it for special occasions.

Most enjoyable, my husband’s first visit. Good menu, excellent service. His steak was a bit rarer than expected and they gave him a complimentary pudding which was a nice gesture. One point - we chose a Burgundy wine year 2017 but were given 2014, not such a good year. A bit cheeky.

Good restaurant, the lady who received us and was our waitress for the night was excellent, a real asset to the restaurant. The food was good and very tasty with decent sized proportions and good value for money.

We felt very rushed with our meal, server made a mistake with veg order which arrived half way through our meal. When we received the bill they charged us for two drinks we never had. Left the restaurant after not an enjoyable visit.

Another superb experience at Cote. We reserved through the App and from the moment we walked in we were made so welcome. Our waitress even remembered our wine choice from the last visit,which is a nice touch.

The whole experience was first class from start to finish. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, the menu was a joy to choose from and the food was excellent. We would definitely return to this establishment.

Myself, my mum and daughter enjoyed our meal greatly. The food was lovely and the staff were welcoming and pleasant throughout. My only reservation is with the optional service charge of 12.5 per cent. I am always happy to leave a tip but prefer to be given the option of how much. I did leave the full amount because I felt obliged which is different. It almost feels like a tax on the food and drink.

The food and service was excellent, but the tables are too close together so that you have no privacy and cannot avoid hearing the conversation of fellow diners
