Food delicious as always and good value. Lovely complimentary cocktail. I’m afraid the poor service let us down we waited for an hour for the waiter to take our food order. Somewhat spoiled our afternoon. I felt that the waiter did not seem to be overly concerned when I complained about the lengthy wait and said he didn’t want to disturb us. I am a regular costumer and have had many a lunch and evening for a number of years . I will return but if I have a similar experience again I will not frequent Islington Cote.

Staff were brilliant. Good wasn’t great, but the staff sorted it out without any complaint or fuss

The only fault was bringing the coffee before the pudding, otherwise perfect. I was eating alone, which I don’t often do and felt perfectly comforting there.

Cote in Islington is always excellent and tonight was no different; I ate the Lamb and it could well have been the best Lamb I have ever had; the staff are all excellent and there is a very pleasant atmosphere!!

I love Cote and have eaten in various branches on dozens of occasions. Worst experience ever tonight. I commented - very politely - to the waiter that the weekend specials were all meat dishes and that I would have liked to see a fish or vegetarian dish ( I don’t eat meat). I added that we are all trying to eat less meat on account of the planet. He replied that he wasn’t bothered about the planet. Thereafter he was abrupt, very slow, rude and, we felt, sneered at us. Took my parents for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was wonderful - in fact they're still talking about it, the ambience and service were spot on. Hope be repeating the experience in a couple of weeks with the in-laws. A dutiful diner!

Cote Islington seem to have got their mojo back. Service was excellent. Main course and puddings were excellent. Sancerre and Cote du Rhone were good. The coffee is always good. Three generations of family all very happy with an excellent Sunday lunch - thank you.

Great service, excellent food and the whole evening made even better because of the superb range of Gluten Free dishes and knowledge about these dishes by the Waiter, that enabled my friend who has various dietary difficulties including being Coeliac, to thoroughly enjoy the meal as well.

Our server was beyond helpful and attentive. He made sure we were looked after, and was quick to correct a couple of slight issues that came up. Never made us feel imposing. Always a great place to dine. Thank you.

Took ages for everything. Desert menu never arrived. We felt forgotten.
