Staff at Côte next to Royal Festival Hall were friendly and helpful, service was prompt but not pushy, food delicious - lunch menu very good value for money.
Exemplary staff. Great food and amazing value. This Cote is excellent.
This is a very convenient restaurant for the pre theatre meals on the South Bank. With Cote, you know what you can expect, the food is of consistant quality and the staff friendly and helpful. On this occasion, I thought I had booked on line for a special January deal, advertised in an email, but it was not available in this restaurant.
Very well located Cote within short distance of the Thames. Excellent food and service.
Love this place! The staff are professional, the food is excellent and the value unbeatable.
Very good meal and restaurant. Staff most friendly, helpful and efficient. Would recommend. Especially if visiting a theatre nearby as it is in a very good location.
Excellent service, food and so convenient for the Southbank Centre. Need to book though on concert nights as I'm sure it gets very busy, deserves to.
Despite being very busy, service was prompt and food good. Only issue was the noise, as a hearing aid wearer this can be an issue (my issue). That said the buzz of content people eating and enjoying themselves is not a bad sound.
As usual Cote delivers a great experience! The food is high quality and the service exemplary.
Pleasant ambience. Ideal location. Fair choice of dishes. Good food elegantly served. Tasted great. Service quick, efficient, courteous and friendly. Good value. Very enjoyable meal.
An excellent meal as usual and served with the utmost charm and courtesy. The staff add a great deal to the pleasure of dining out in any Côte restaurant I have visited
Really great chain of restaurants. Fantastic restaurant with buzzy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good service. Delicious food. Good size portions. Reasonably priced. Can’t fault it. Would highly recommend.
Cosy early evening supper after a Saturday matinee. Busy but very pleasant atmosphere. Staff excellent and attentive. Usual wide choice on the menu. Excellent value. We’ll be back.
Lovely food, atmosphere and service. The BBC is is incredible.
Good lunch time menu, well cooked and professionally served, in a comfortable and pleasant area. Excellent choice of wine. Reasonably priced. What's not to like?
This was not the best Côte experience. The service was not particularly friendly and slow given it was a pre theatre supper. There was also a push to direct us to the dearer menus. The food was okay but not as well cooked as at other Côte branches, for example my salmon was a smaller portion than I have been served from this menu and a little dry and overdone. The ambience was not as good as usual and altogether a bit of a disappointment at what should be a flag ship place - lots of competition on the Southbank.
Delicious food (between us we had calamari, rib eye, mussels and kids toast chicken) great atmosphere and very good service - we would definitely recommend
The staff were welcoming from the beginning, very friendly and amiable. One of our party had particular food intolerances and was very well catered for with no fuss or delays. The food is great and always a nice ambiance at Cote.
We had great food and service. Would have been max score if we'd had a bit more space. But would go again and try other sites.
Great experience. Good food. My only criticism is that our waiter seemed very miserable & the tables were so close together & quite a squeeze to get into. Otherwise it was a perfect venue as we had just been to see a show at the Festival Hall.
Nice but very busy restaurant. Staff very nice and helpful. We always like meals in Cote restaurants. The menu is good and food is value for money.
Very tasty food, I always have the feeling to be in France when I eat there. I like the menu options very diverse, nice staff too.
This is the perfect location for a walk across the bridge or a visit to the south bank. Service and food as ever impeccable. The French Onion soup is the best in London and the Fish Parmentier is peerless. Great all round.
Had the Prestige Menu. The Mussels were delicious and the pork belly cooked to perfection. A very nice dining experience.
Nice Cote in handy location near Waterloo and Southbank Centre including Royal Festival Hall. The usual good french menu and reasonable prices plus meals were quickly out of the kitchen and very tasty.
Fantastic atmosphere. Friendly staff and great food. A fabulous place to eat.
With a great lunch and pre-theatre set menu, Cote is very good value. The food was tasty, the service friendly and efficient, and it was a very pleasurable experience.
Sadly had to return the duck dish as it was almost burned They did give a replacement free of charge This is the first disappointment we’ve had at a Cote restaurant
Despite being very , very busy the staff did an excellent job with regard to service and quality of food, A good chain which must have a good staff training scheme , Keep up the good work for 2019.
Booked a table 2 days before. Table was ready as soon as we walked in. Drinks were delivered within 5 minutes. Water came 1 minute later. We were given enough time to peruse the menu and the food came within 10 minutes. The starters, mains and deserts were delicious. Special mention for the creme caramel which was the best we have ever tasted ( made in house ). My wife was very tempted to ask for the recipe. The staff were very good, slick service and a nice smile. Definitely come here again when we are in London.
Not great. Food and service very good but restaurant is far too hot and terrible acoustics. Will not return unless outside. A shame as this is a lovely venue with very good staff but like a very noisy sauna.
A wonderful evening, staff so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, great prices. A lovely Christmas atmosphere. Very well presented and hot tasty food, thank you.
Great food, great service and fantastic value. The French formula breakfast was very nice.
Faultless place! The staff here are friendly and professional and the food impeccable.
great value, nice setting - really friendly, attentive and humorous staff. will certainly recommend to friend and return. set meal is great value, wine not overpriced
Good, friendly service, fixed price pre show menu excellent value. Ideal location on the south bank. It gets busy so be sure to book in advance.
Very nice setting and atmosphere. Polite friendly and attentive service. Readonably priced. 3 Of the mains were very good, one rather disappointing. I recommend the standard menu.
I always think of cote as a good staple place to go for breakfast. The formule offer is very reasonably priced for what you get and the food across the cote chain seems to be of consistent high quality. However I have been to this site twice now and both times I’ve had a sub-par experience. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they were understaffed due to a member of staff calling in sick. The service was very slow and we spent ages waiting at the door just to be sat down to our reservation. The second time they had run out of apple juice and then also said they couldn’t make me a mocha. I’ve previously been served mochas at another cote site and, to be honest, as long as you already serve coffee and hot chocolate, mocha isn’t an impossible ask. Neither of the above two incidents would stop me going back, however I do think it is one of the weaker sites within the cote chain.
Very forgettable food tonight!! A huge fan of Cote but tonight’s meal was more like School Dinners... although we opted for the pre 7pm meal it was really dire!!
Whilst I appreciate and accept that near Christmas the restaurant is busy, there is still no excuse for the service that we received. We met at 1.00, were served drinks at 1.20, ordered and then saw nothing until gone 2.00. We waited 40 minutes between starter and main course and at 2.35 received the last of the main courses (which was a salad!!!). No apologies, very little attention and generally a dismal experience.
In this very busy area of London this is a jewel of a restaurant. Great service and welcoming atmosphere - Excellent food as always at very affordable prices. Can thoroughly recommend this venue. Thank you we will be back.
second time having the Christmas lunch menu and it was just as good. calamari was cooked perfectly rib eye tenner and tasty Only complaint was the restaurant was rather hot
Attentive staff. We were a large group. Good value (the lunch deal) and good food. Great location. I will definitely go back there. A very well run restaurant with proper chefs and well trained waiters.
Nice location. Staff pleasant. Got cold chips and cold beef Bourgogne. Both replaced but delays and ended up eating at separate times. No toilet roll in loo. Gave us complimentary glasses of wine to compensate but would rather it was right....
Lovely restaurant. Steak was amazing , would highly recommend mushroom sauce, though a bigger portion would have been good. Excellent gratin potato as well! Gin and tonics could have been given in gin glasses to be more appealing, and maybe fever tree tonic. Overall was a lovely dining experience.
Good food and service despite the restaurant being full to capacity and most diners needing to depart to attend a concert at the The Royal Festival Hall.
Very reliable French cooking. Outstanding value. Great atmosphere. This branch is better than some of the others because the tables are not close to each other. Nice outside in the summer and people were there in the winter too as they have heaters and blankets.
Terrible service & completely overloaded kitchen. We ordered at 5.30pm because we were going to a show (like most people on Southbank at that time of day). Our main didn’t arrive until 6.50pm despite chasing several times. One of our orders was dropped by waiter & needed to be replaced (further delay). Drinks ordered were also forgotten. Manager did apologise but said they have so many pre-show diners, which begs the question why did you overload the kitchen by accepting too many bookings? Poor service, poor management. I will not be going back!
What a great menu! superb food at a fantastic price Myself and my guest had the set menu which was amazing. highly recommended.
Excellent Breakfast as usual. This Cote is superb. Great food, surrounding s and service.
