We like Cote! Always a good place to eat at
A real treat to go to Cote. The food was delicious, the service outstanding and nothing is too hard for them to do. I can't fault them on anything - have been many times and never been disappointed. The quality and preparation of the food is outstanding with my definite favourites being the Steak Tartare and the Breton Fish Stew ! I'll be back no doubt !!! Thank you all for making this such a wonderful dinner !
Great food and service as usual for Cote. Always reliable particularly for pre concert.
Another good experience at Cote. the food and service are consistently good and reliable particularly for a pre concert meal.
A delicious meal with attentive staff. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
good service food average at best not somewhere i would rush back to.
We had a lovely lunch, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Good and relaxed atmosphere
Food delicious, service great. My favourite restaurant and at 71 I have had a lot of experience.
Cote is always great. Food and service were very good.
Very slow service, crowded and too hot. Our food didn’t arrive in time as we were going to the theatre so we had to leave after the starter. Very disappointing.
We came from Gloucester and had the best time at Cotes / food and service fabulous- will be back 🤗
Excellent service, tasty food. The back area we sat in was very warm. Portions were small. But overall a very good atmosphere and good food. Thanks
The food was delicious however I was full half way through my duck and when the waiter cleared my plate away I asked for the food to be boxed up as it was so good and I did not want there to be food wastage. They said this was not possible. I was however insistent and after speaking with another employee they were able to accommodate my request. It is a shame that given the challenges facing the environment and pressures to reduce food wastage that this was so difficult to achieve.
The food was good, but it's pre-theatre service wasn't. I had chosen Cote for it proximity to the National Theatre and it's pre-theatre menu. The restaurant was busy and the staff were doing their best, but it was difficult to get their attention at times. When we were being seated at our table and on a couple of other occasions we mentioned that we were going to the theatre. Our starters took a while to come out and our mains took even longer. When it eventually arrived one of the meals was lukewarm with cold vegetables (This was removed from the bill). We had 10 mins to eat our main course, pay the bill and leave. We made it to the National Theatre with about 2 mins to spare!
Good atmosphere and food. A bit loud and service slow.
Service very very friendly and helpful Just a bit too slow
Great service and good food. Great position on South Bank
The food and service were great, but the restaurant was very busy and very noisy, so we didn’t enjoy Cote quite as much as usual.
Served main course before first course was finished. Took a long time to take order for sweet.
Great location, friendly staff, good wine, food a bit hit and miss but overall good reliable recipes
Great service and very friendly. Lots of space to eat in. Major issue was the burgers. Dry and hardly any taste. Duck breast fantastic, and the gluten free menu excellent.
Overall, nice place and the the taste of food was great. The only problem was that we had to wait for our main dishes for too long. However, the waiters have apologised and gave us free drinks, which solved the problem.
Excellent waiter - very friendly, helpful and professional.Good food...could have been a little quieter though as the people on the table behind us were very noisy and unchallenged by the staff.
Cote Brasserie serve very tasty, Gluten Free Food. Staff are very Friendly, and helpful.
Overall very good, but needed better air-con on the hottest day of the year!
Considering the restaurant was ver very busy the service and food were excellent for the price.
My work colleagues and I had been here for a Christmas meal and decided it was good enough to come back to celebrate my birthday. We were seated at a table for six with a leather bench on one side which was perfect for the occasion. We could chat and move around comfortably while enjoying a three-course meal from one of the set menus. A complementary Kir Royale set a nice tone for the evening. The waiters were friendly and accommodating with a special request; nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the half chargrilled 'Breton' chicken as a mains which was substantial and the Creme Caramel was the best I have ever had. An enjoyable evening and one to remember. Thank you to the manager and all the other helpful staff involved with my enquiries, and on the night.
An inflexible menu would not allow me to add a side order of goat cheese to my salad or even just throw some in. An independent restaurant would have done so. This doesn't reflect well on the chain mentality nor on their ability to serve the customer.
The food was very nice and the service was excellent. Pity the place was so noisy. We could not conduct a conversation without raised voices. The problem is that the restaurant is all hard surfaces including hard floors, marble tables and absolutely no soft furnishings. The ceiling over the kitchen area will only add to reflected sound. It was such a pity as a good meal was spoiled by the sound level.
We had a wonderful time dinning at Cote Royal Festival Hall tonite, excellent service and delicious food, they even surprised us with birthday cakes on the house ... so lovely and we are so going back 💕 merci beaucoup 🙏🏻😊😊😊😊🙏🏻
Lovely place to celebrate graduation with glass of bubbles and steak
Took my colleagues out for a breakfast (5 of us in total). I ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which came complete with a pork sausage. One bite, and it was only after questioning was I told there 'may have been a mistake'. (I'm both Jewish and vegetarian; pork is definitely not what you want on a plate). After rushing to the bathroom to bring up what I had just ingested, I was then given a fresh meal, but couldn't stomach even looking at food. Was then told, as a 'gesture', they wouldn't charge me for mine as it wasn't eaten. I appreciate things slip up occasionally, but it's not hard to ensure that on a vegetarian meal, only veggie alternatives are provided. I also wasn't expecting the entire party to eat for free either, but a gesture over and above not paying for something I couldn't eat anyway (and an apology too, which really didn't seem to happen), would have been nice.
great service and food was lovely - the Aircon could do with a bit of attention and the beer wasn't as cold as we would have liked but it was a very unusually hot day so you cant always be expected to be able to cope with that.
Excellent and fast service. However my salad Nicoise and my guest's meal were both spoilt with too much oil for our tastes.
Really good service lovely location food was brilliant and my husband loved the pudding
First problem was that we received an incorrect starter. When the correct starter arrived, we were asked if we wanted our main courses. We said not until we have finished our starter. 2 minutes later our main courses arrived, even though we were clearly still eating our starter. Rather than send them back, we accepted them, but made it clear we were not impressed and asked to speak to the manager. He apologised profusely and made an adjustment to the bill. The food was, as ever, very good
I have been to several Cotes but this was the best yet. Excellent service and good food at a reasonable price.
Our order appeared to get lost and was very late in being served. The risotto was a bit on the al dente side and not really that great. However we were given a discount for the late arrival of the food. Cote does not seem to be as good as it used to be, perhaps they are skimping to keep the prices down.
We have been to Cote many times for pre-theatre dinner and have thought the fixed price menu to be very good value. Today this menu was not available and the alternative had 3 meat dishes as main courses which is not good if one of us is not a meat eater. That’s why no full 6 star rating but in all other respects our experience was excellent. Service was exceptionally polite and efficient, we had complimentary kir royales as it was my birthday and they even made a reduction on the bill for the loss of a fish or veggie alternative main course. Would recommend with only the slightest reservation over the food choice but then there’s always the a la carte menu
Very efficient and pleasant service and we would go again.
Having visited several Cote Restaurants and enjoyed them all, this was a first time at the Festival Hall one. We were not disappointed, everything came up to the usual high standard. A very enjoyable lunch.
Excellent service and atmosphere at a very busy times. Food very good value as usual
Great meal out. Birthday celebration made special by your staff. Thanks.
Lovely food - good service - friendly waiter- excellent location
A pleasant lunch at Cote Festival Hall, good food and attentive service.
Very busy because of graduation day outside so consequently noisy. Otherwise good experience.
