We sat outside, it was really lovely apart from people pushing past our table to get to theirs. The food was good, our only complaint was that the garlic fougasse was very doughy and didn’t tase of garlic. I told the waitress about the bread. She didn’t seem very interested. I also observed her wiping down tables with a very dirty looking sponge. No cleaning solution was used. You just worry a little about the rest of the restaurant, i.e. if that’s what you can see...... what about what you don’t see??! I also snagged my trousers on the seat getting up. I didn’t realise how bad they were until I took them off at bedtime. All in all, the food was ok but I’m not sure I’d return. There are lots of other places to eat in that area.
Lovely evening before a concert next door at the Festival Hall. Such a convenient location. Sadly one of our dishes arrived cold and had to be sent back, but the manageress dealt with it very promptly and kindly took it of the bill which was a very appreciated and unexpected gesture. Will definitely go back
Great location on the Southbank. Location has outdoor seating which is a plus. The inside is spacious. The food and service was great. Will be going back to this location when I am on the south bank
Nice meal, friendly staff and not too noisy. Coped well when we were a party of three, not five.
Good food and service. Tuna nicoise and confit de canard excellent .
Lovely, food and efficient service. Only a bit of waiting around for someone to provide the bill. Will definitely be returning
This is our second visit in a few weeks. On both occasions the food had been fantastic and the service efficient and thoughtful. Have been to a few Cotes but this is the best so far.
Lovely brunch sitting outside on a beautiful day, with excellent service from Carmen.
Nice complimentary kirs and tasty food .Great situation and always quick service 😄
I have been to several branches of Cote Brasserie before. In general, the food was cooked well, although my wife's French fries were quite hard. The other issue we had was finding the restaurant as it was NOT inside the Royal Festival Hall but adjacent to it.
Slow service and wrong bill but very apologetic staff (need better systems to cope when full and with extended outside seating)
Always a pleasure to visit a branch of Cote, and this location is no exception. Good service and lovely food.
Early supper for 5 people on Friday evening. Staff attentive to the right degree. We enjoyed our main courses and desserts. The Fougasse and Olives nibbles were just right with a nice glass of wine to start off. The downstairs dining area became a bit noisy as it filled but the seats were comfortable and the ambience was good. Altogether a pleasant experience, good location near Royal Festival Hall and would recommend.
Great location, fine food to really affordable prices, great service. We will be back
As a regular at Cotes, throughout the UK and on many occasions have eaten at Festival Hall when in London. We were somewhat disappointed with the standard of food on this occasion. Firstly, the main course one of our party had ordered the steak which was served relatively cold. Although the waitress did offer to get another one, with a train to catch home and with everyone else eating this would of delayed the meal. All others ordered the Poulet Grille from the prestige menu, one of these was served with excessive amounts of pepper on and indeed had to scrape off the pepper in order to be able to eat. We all opted to have desserts, the chocolate mousse and Creme caramel were delicious. However, the apple crumble was incredibly spicy and in fact on trying it myself when others commented on the taste my initial thought that it tasted like vinegar. Certainly the spices nulled the taste of apples. On this occasion we were disappointed with the standard of food. But hope to be back again and be able to experience a better standard of food.
I have visited three of your restaurants and have enjoyed all of them thoroughly, staff are always polite and attentive and food is always of high quality, i will definitely be visiting your restaurants again.
Attentive waiting, gorgeous food. Been to a number of Cotes previously, and this was a highlight experience.
I am a very regular customer of Cote restaurants around the country, based on good value for money, consistency of food quality and good service. Cote Royal Festival Hall offered me excellent service last night and value for money, but the food could have been warmer on this occasion.
Excellent value, good food and attentive service. Thank you! Great location
Had a nice meal and good service despite the restaurant being extremely busy.
Fantastic food, service and price. The set menu is the best in London!
First time at this branch for early dinner. The food is consistently good wherever you are. Excellent service, friendly and took time to answer my questions about the menu. Set menu great value for central London
Poulet grillé . Creamy potatoes, creamy mushrooms, over-cooked chicken. Too much cream by far! A bit out of touch with today’s palates. Ordered olives, didn’t get them but they were on the bill. Very good low alcohol beer. Moules frites - a lot of cream.... add some fish stock, it works as well! I’m a fan and it’s good value as a rule. But you don’t need to be a time warp to keep your customers happy.

Two of the starters we ordered did not match our expectations but we were basically told "that's how we serve them so....".
Fantastic everything! Superb service, food and location. Definitely worth a visit.
Excellent and respectful service - and it was very flattering to be remembered from back in April when I had my 60th birthday at your lovely restaurant.

Good food for a very busy restaurant. Staff very helpful and efficient enjoyed complimentary drinks that helped to make the meal a success.
We do like Cote and eat there fairly often when in Cambridge where we live. The visit on Saturday to the one near festival pier was disappointing as our food was cold we told the young woman when she enquired and we we’re immediately offered a complimentary dessert. We would use this Restaurant again when in London.
We very much enjoyed every aspect of our visit to Cote this evening. The food was exceptional, service impeccable and atmosphere very welcoming. We will be returning soon. Thank you.
We had a lovely meal for my wife's birthday. Great food, great table and great staff.
Staff excellent, starters and puddings lovely but ribeye steaks tough and full of gristle sadly.
Great food and ambience and great managers always a good experience
As I have come to expect from this chain - good food and great service.
We enjoyed the food very much, although the service was rather slow. However, putting a lighted candle on one of the desserts and singing happy birthday to the star guest of our group was a nice touch.
As always, as i have come to expect of Cote Brasserie, delightful staff and good food
Good value meal, service was attentive and the food was good for the money.
We eat regularly at the Cote, always great food and service but yesterday the service was super good thanks to Geta
Food and service excellent. Small point: Cappuccino too milky not enough coffee But love Cote !
Very fatty chateatubriand and asked for medium but it was quite rare (almost blue in places).
Visited for lunch pre theatre for my friends birthday. The manager was so kind to us & the food was amazing. We had such a lovely time, will be returning
Enjoyable. Nice, helpful service, pleasant food, good coffee. Rather noisy.
Friendly, efficient service; comfortable surroundings, and delicious food. A perfect start to our family evening out.
The staff were lovely and attentive. We asked for mustard and they gave us three versions of mustard to try with our food( which we loved). The food was the usual high standard of hearty, homely French cooking. Overall it was above average.
Good food and wine excellent friendly service and good atmosphere
noise levels spoiled the visit. we will not go again.
Great cocktail, consistently good food. Took a while to get the eye of the waitress, which meant that we had to miss out on dessert, but we could see that she was very busy.
I would recommend this branch. We both had the pre-theatre August menu which had excellent choices. I have only marked down to good the food and waiting times because we had a problem with the main course. We both ordered the steak and frites which unfortunately arrived cold and not pink as stated; but when asked if the food was ok and we explained it was not, I couldn't fault them. The steaks were returned to the kitchen and we were given fresh ones which were perfect! We had £10 deducted from our bill for the wait and they couldn't have been nicer. I was very impressed and would go back again.
Excellent service and lovely restaurant - would definitely come back to this one again
Fab meal before going to the theatre. Although London busy restaurant felt an oasis of calm with a plentiful supply of happy staff
My set meal was absolutely fine; the ravioli with goats' cheese, peppers and olives was particularly delicious. However my friend was served uncooked potatoes with her sea trout. To Cote's credit they immediately offered a new meal but my friend settled for replacement gratin potatoes instead. All round a minor error which didn't spoil our meal - and the service was excellent.
