Côte Winchester

We had an excellent experience at Cote, Winchester today. The food was really great. Very well cooked and hot. The staff were very pleasant and efficient.

Very friendly and efficient staff and excellent food - you pay for what you get but with two teenagers eating adult meals it continues to be a treat. A nice experience.

Good food well presented, excellent service and a genuine French ambiance. Only very minor downside was the centre-pedestal table which doesn't leave much foot room.

Very cheerful and helpful staff - especially when it came to our allergies. Great service and lovely food - they couldn't do enough for us

Our friendly, but mildly dizzy waitress muddled one main course order, but it was sorted in no time, we had an extra side-salad and free cup of coffee and all was well. We will be back.

Excellent service from start to finish and food good too. Four of us enjoyed the early evening menu which was good value compared with local competitors

Excellent food and service , but why add an "optional" 12.5% service charge. I'm very happy to reward good service, but prefer to make my own choice.

Once again a superb meal at lunchtime today, and such good value. As a regular visitor, the changing lunchtime/ pre 7pm menu is most welcome. Thank you

Excellent table and good services - menu was varied and all 8 of us enjoyed it. The wine list was mainly French but the Syrah was good

Nice atmosphere with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Nice menu choices at reasonable prices. On this occasion the duck was overcooked however the coffee very burnt and bitter!

Very enjoyable family meal in pleasant surroundings...From to first point of contact until the arrival of the bill we received first class food and service !!!!

The Winchester branch of Cotes has never failed to impress. Every visit, every time. Whenever I'm looking for a restaurant for my lunch meetings I always go here. Great food, great service.

Excellant food and wine, Service was below par for a 12.5% added gratuity. Had to ask twice for ketchup. Had to attract attention for second drink. Restaurant was busy and quite noisy. Other guests also had to repeat requests for service of napkins, drinks orders. Service below minimum expectations. Offset by excellent food...

We had a really wonderful experience at Cote in Winchester. Great food and very attentive staff. The location is excellent too. We have been to the Cheltenham Cote often and this is just as good.

The food was good and the service excellent. As it was a Friday night the restaurant was very busy and hence the noise level rather high making it difficult to have a conversation.

Well done Cote Winchester 10/10 Food was excellent as always good quality ingredients and cooked correctly Paulo are waitress was great fun and made the evening, I had a complimentary bottle of cote du Rhone what a find so much so we had another bottle All in all a fantastic evening Thank you Cote Winchester

Noisy children sat next to us not being very well controlled by parents. Overwise OK although on previous experience food had been first class Fish Parmentier was not up to usual standard - guess this could have been because it was very busy Saturday previous experiences have been during week.

Really lovely food and a lot of choice on the menu. Great atmosphere, although quite noisy at times, but would definitely return. Staff were friendly and attentive also. Fabulous evening.

My friends and I (5 of us) had really good service today at Cote Brasserie Winchester, 20 April 2017. The food we all chose was very good and enjoyed by all.

I normally rate this as a 6 but yesterday the service wasn't quite as sharp. It was slow and the food wasn't quite as perfect. I'm being picky but have always been extremely full of praise. But will definitely come back.

Scallops, Sea Bass and Veal Escalope all cooked to perfection, and staff helpful and correct, as always .Nothing more to say, minimum 25 words an irritation

Excellent evening with friendly staff and tasty and enjoyable food. Very good value for money and our friends who were from Kent will be visiting Cote in Tunbridge Wells!

The food and service was excellent. The staff are always very helpful. It is also very good value and there is an excellent choice of dishes.

My booking was cancelled this morning I rang to check why told we were double booked would it not have been more appropriate to ring me otherwise I just wouldn't have turned up Meal as usual was excellent

Smashing Easter lunch for four adults.Our server,Hope, was fun,extremely efficient and added to our enjoyment. Food was super with lots of choice. This was our second visit and we will back.

We were disappointed with the service that we received , our main course arrive just as they were taking our starter plates away . Food ok but wouldn't go back.

Very enjoyable lunch, good food and good service. One of our party had to leave early and the staff were very accommodating in getting the mains out quickly. Enjoyed the complimentary wine.

My wife and I are big fans of Cote Brasserie, having frequented both the Bath and the Cirencester sites. I'm afraid that the Winchester restaurant did not live up to our experiences in the other two. The food was OK, but not exceptional. The service was good, but difficult to judge as the restaurant was all but empty. This also affected the general ambience.

The food was great food and the service was even better. That is very Rare in the UK these days. The waiter forgot a side order and when we pointed this out they delivered it to as with no charge.

I love Cote and always have the cheap lunch menu. But for the first time ever I wasn't very keen on the menu. The food was ok but nothing special.

Very charming and polite service, well timed. Food was delicious with a good choice. Ambiance comfortable but special too. We will most certainly book to go again.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Food superb. Overall a good experience. We'll do again...soon. The overall atmosphere was good. Design of dining area was well considered. Private space but inclusive.

Very attentive staff and food was delivered promptly and to a good standard. Vegetarian breakfast was superb and food value. Relaxed atmosphere was perfect start to the day.

Our dessert choice - frozen blackberries with white melted chocolate was a very good idea but it should not include large pieces of fruit as these were frozen solid and impossible to eat. This spoilt the dessert.

We opted for the special lunchtime menu which is excellent value. My minute steak was cooked perfectly (I always have it well done, but it was still very tender and not at all dry). Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff. A lovely lunchtime treat!

Excellent meal and excellent service, the only downer was that a complimentary drink given since it was my wife's birthday was subsequently charged to the bill (plus the 12.5% service charge on it). Oops

Good food and good service. Restaurant was smart and ideal for a lunch meeting with clients. Will use it again. The 2 course meal for a set price menu was varied enough to suite everyone in our party of 6.
