Cowshed - Liverpool

What a quaint little place,it was recommended by family or we probably wouldn't have known it was there,we had the special and everything was cooked perfectly,the staff were very nice,friendly and helpful,service with a smile,would definitely return if we were in liverpool again.

A terrific steak place. Me and my wife ordered the share platter which was good value for money. The setting is lovely and staff very friendly.

Set in an old Georgian townhouse the cowshed is a stylish venue. If your a lover of steak this is the place for you, excellent food and great service.

It was everything brilliant as always. Waiters very nice and helpful and the meat was amazing and perfectly done. We will repeat again for sure.

Food was excellent, service was excellent and really good value for money. Only negative if I was nitpicking is the sink in the gents toilet is tiny when there is room for a bigger one.

We would very much recommend Cowshed. We had three courses and all was absolutely delicious. Nice simple menu. Excellent steaks and excellent service. We will be back!

Food was delicious. Steak was perfectly cooked. Waitress was extremely helpful especially once I pointed out my dairy intolerance. Would definately go back should I visit Liverpool again.

Lovely meal, only thing missing is beef dripping as a sauce option, would most definitely return and good value for the quality you receive! The houlomui bites are amazing!

Excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere, very casual. We had a fillet and a rump. Both were cooked to perfection. Sides were good and very reasonably priced.

I arrived at the cowshed with little expectation, other than a couple of promising trip adviser reviews. I was fuelled with nervous energy. My eyes glistened like flame whilst my stomach rumbled like a tractor as I peered my greedy eyes through the menu. ‘Halloumi bites?!’, I bellowed. ‘This sounds like my cuppa jo’, I concluded. They were truly exquisite. Furthermore, the steak that graced my mouth was an experience I’ll never forget. ‘I’ll never wash you again!’, I promised my mouth - not to sure she was too happy about it. Anyhoo, if you want a succulent juicy steak I advice eating here. I really did like it.

Incredible restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommended to any steak lover. We shared “the greedy cow” (3 steaks; rump, ribeye and flat iron) and had them all cooked medium rare to perfection.

Steak was just as good as the service! Both excellent!, Blue cheese sauce amazing and the desserts not many choices but so tasty! Would go again!

Lovely meal but the wine was very slow a little expensive but we enjoyed the meal if we went again we would not order wine or the Irish coffee

Excellent steaks at reasonable prices- each cooked to level ordered. Like the smaller separate rooms-creates a more intimate atmosphere. Service is good and waitress professional but friendly.

Having seen so many good reviews & pictures, we were disappointed with our meal. We both ordered the 8oz ribeye, medium rare. The cut of meat was so thin it was more medium well done and quite a bit of gristle, that had to be taken out of my mouth as I couldn’t chew it, I expect fat on ribeye, not gristle. On the positive the chips & sauce were nice & staff lovely, the carmenere wine was very good but as we came for steak it was a let down, & there wasn’t an option to order a bigger steak. The music also was very rowdy, I did ask for it to be turned down but didn’t notice any change in volume. Don’t think we will be rushing back I’m afraid.

Absolutely amazing food but service not as great. Had to wait for our table then once we were put upstairs, I think they forgot about us (and another couple!) Otherwise we really enjoyed the food!

If you want a steak, cooked perfectly, this is your place. Would have liked a side salad choice from the sides, but that’s my only negative comment. Desserts looked original and delicious, service was 10 out of 10.

This was an excellent meal. My daughter said it was one of the nicest meals she had ever had. The quality of the steaks is outstanding

Fantastic food and service once again at the Cow Shed. The sharing platter was great, the steak was cooked perfectly. I was especially impressed with the sides. The caramelised butternut squash was beautiful and the fries were lovely too. All of the staff were very attentive and provided a fantastic experience for us.

We booked here for a special meal amd was not disapointed, the food was fantastic amd a special mention to our waitress who was also fantastic, you will not be disappointed if you eat here

Went to Cow Shed last night, staff were so friendly, best customer service ever. The food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, already recommended Cow Shed to friends. I loved the quirky building and the atmosphere. A young girl was there celebrating her graduation and when the bill came, the lovely waitress announced, your steak is on the house. I think little touches like that make all the difference, hold onto the chef's you have now and the staff, they're all fantastic, we will be back for sure. xxx

Great food great service just a very limited menu no good if you do not like steak as there is only one other option and that is for vegetarians saying that it is a steak house.
