Great authentic food at a cheap price along with amazing friendly service - staff counted do enough for us and even gave us a free shot each at the end

Great place with good food for real reasonable price! Tapas an fresh fish were delicious and the portions big enough. And of top of that, a very friendly staff. Totally recommend!

The food was excellent, large portions of tasting food. The staff were very friendly and attentive despite the restaurant being very full. While the place is small and was a bit noisy (primarily due to a table of about 18), the place had a very nice latin vibe and a good ambience.

Pre theatre visit and found excellent food and great cocktails. Very reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Lovely decor and a great atmosphere. Will definitely return, loved this little gem!

I went there for my birthday and from start to finish they showed how Customer Service should be. We felt so welcome that we will definitely be visiting again.My only moan is that the place isnt big enough to have dancing..Exceptional place

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, without being overbearing. Food was fantastic, couldn't choose one thing in particular, but the lamb tapas and the cassava chips did stand out. Cocktails were incredibly cheap with happy hour, and they were very delicious too! Will be back soon.

What great food, great atmosphere, and great value for money! We were very pleasantly surprised. The happy hour is a great deal, the tapas were delicious, and the plantains with guacamole were to die for! Will definitely be returning.

Table wasn't ready when we arrived were asked to leave and come back. Tapas was good but despite asking waitress three times for our final dish she kept forgetting it. Meatballs finally arrived 10 minutes after we had finished eating. Asked for a jug of water on arrival finally go it when we were paying the bill. Very disappointing Saturday night dining.

Lovely really affordable place, recommend the tapas! Were also given shots of tequila on the house by a really friendly waitress. Perfect valentines day meal :)

Warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful food. The service is outstanding and the food (the food!). Been 6+ times now and it never lets me down.

Although the drinks and service was excellent, the food was terrible. In the the pearr salad there were no pear, the asparagus was out of a tinwill I will never go back AGAIN.

Service was friendly, atmosphere was nice even though it was a little quiet and the food was tasty too. Cocktails were also very good - particularly the Basil and Ginger Mojitos - they don't scrimp on the alcohol which makes a refreshing change!

First time visit to Escudo De Cuba. Party of four, we had great Mojitos, mixed tapas to start and then halibut and Cuban style chicken/pork - all very good. Too full for deserts but the coffee was also very good and then complimentary tequila or sambucca

Lovely food, great service, was given lots of free drinks and a cake at the end for my birthday. Highly recommend this place! I had the chicken and the avocado, will be coming back for more at some point!

It is a long time since I have had Cuban food and I really enjoyed my meal The rose wine was a perfect accompaniment. I went on a hot Summer's day and the restaurant was a little stifling but not enough to spoil my experience. It will be great on cold Winter's days

We chose this restaurant for it's paleo friendly menu. Decor is cool and clean, set in hipster Dalston, it looked promising! Staff were so welcoming and the complimentary plantain chips and olives, immediately told us we had chosen well. After some assistance to clarify dairy and grain free items, I went for the ROPA VIEJA A LA CUBANA and replaced the rice and beans with cassava chips and salad. The shredded beef was packed with flavour, just delicious! After our meals, we were given complimentary tequila shots, ok so I didn't have mine, but I loved the gesture! Before we thought it couldn't get any better, the bill came without "discretionary" SERVICE CHARGE!! We tipped them more than 12.5%!!

Friendly staff good atmosphere in restaurant . Olives and plantain offered while ordering. Well cooked homely food with fresh vegetables. We ate early so not very busy

It's a really cool restaurant. The interior deco is excellent, very atmospheric. They provide you with nibbles on arrival as well as tequila as digestives after the meal as well! The hosts are very friendly and the food is great! Would definitely visit again. :-)

Went for dinner on a Friday and pre-booked as the place get very busy. The tapas are amazing and great value for money. The cocktails were also great probably the best I've had around London without paying an arm n leg! Will be back soon!

We ordered Pina Colada cocktails and Ropa Vieja. The cocktails were better than expected, and the food was great, especially the Ropa Vieja stew. Very tasty. Will definitely be coming back.

Great place - I've never been to Cuba but it seemed authentic to me! Very friendly staff, suitably attentive or at least easy to get their attention when required. Good food and drink, but the atmosphere and décor is what really makes it - a real oasis within the area. Downstairs club is very cool - very small and intimate. Could benefit from a cloakroom but appreciate that space simply doesn't allow! Wish it was more local to me, I would be back much more often!

Had a excellent evening out with friends at Cuba de Escudo. Great cocktails, great food, great atmosphere, great price. Fantastic selection of tapas available at this Cuban restaurant with its friendly staff.
