Very welcoming and attentive staff in a reasonably busy restaurant. We had breakfast. The food was good although a couple of things which we would have had weren't available. The Georges breakfast is great value, avocado on toast was a little disappointing. We will definitely return.

Lovely pleasant setting good hot food at reasonable price. Sam the waiter was attentive and polite and made the whole visit a relaxed and enjoyable experience for me and my family. Been going for over 10 years the consistency of service and food standard has never dropped, well done George's

Very good service and atmosphere we had the Sunday lunch, crispy duck egg starter which was lovely followed by roast pork which was cooked perfectly.

We always enjoy going to Georges . The staff are very professional. We really enjoyed the evening , the food and good atmosphere . Definitely worth a visit .

Went for a birthday meal, four of us, chose from the early bird menu. all our food was fabulous as ever, as we're the drinks and service, could not fault the experience and will definitely be coming back.

Not the best value for money. £10.70 for scallops as a starter only came with 4 of them and a whole leek as garnish 😂. Burger for main was bland (you can get a better burger from spoons AND it comes with a pint for cheaper) Waitress was rude when I was using card machine.

As always, lovely food, service and atmosphere. Remains our favourite restaurant and look forward to our next visit. Thank you.

First time visit. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was very slow. Lack of kitchen staff? Perhaps Tuesday nights are slow and staffing levels are reduced?

Great food in a pleasant setting. Great table service. Only slight criticism is prices are mildly inflated for the food on offer. Have been there many times before and will continue to go there in the future

We had the Sunday lunch, the service was excellent, the food was very good, our disappointment was that the portions were very small for the price we paid

An extensive choice pf menu with beautifully cooked and presented food; staff are always most professional and attentive. The set menu is particularly good value, but in January, there is an offer of 30% reduction on the a la carte menu.

Had a lovely meal, shame quite a few things sold out but it was a busy night. We were booked in and when a rang in advance to push the booking later the man on the phone was abrupt and slightly rude. We stood waiting around 10 minutes to be seated on arrival, then we were offered a nicer table if we waited another 10/15 minutes.. but then were seated directly under a very bright spotlight. Didn’t mind the wait for the main it was amazing, but were only told when our food was well on the way a couple of things would be missing because they had run out.. Young lady that was our waitress was pleasant and told us about the January 30% off offer when our bill came. All in all the food was delicious

The food was perfect! The time taken for the food to come out was a long time but we didn’t complain and they gave a 25% discount to the bill without hesitation. Lovely service as usual!

Had a lovely Boxing Day here at George’s, and although very full, we had lovely service from the staff. The entertainment was also excellent. Just had a hiccup with one of the main meals, but this was quickly rectified. Would highly recommend.

This was our first meal at George’s and it was delicious. We chose from the xmas menu and could not fault anything. Our waitress was lovely and friendly and the service was great. Would definately recommend and will be booking again.

The food was exquisite, lovely atmosphere with a good Dj playing music. The staff were very polite, loved the ambiance, I will definitely be returning again.

Food took over 45 mins to arrice, which was fine as we were happy for it to be leisurely, but no real reason as to why it took so long! Food wasn't the best, I've had much better food there! Bit of a shame as I normally enjoy it!

Lovely restaurant, warm welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. Lovely warm and cosy decoration especially the furry throws over some of the chairs. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food choices were great, we had a mix of the Christmas menu and standard. Portion sizes for me were just right, the Wellingtons did have a lot of pastry compared to its contents. Overall lovely meal and time was had by all in the party.

Really good, food was excellent, staff great. Quite noisy with Christmas Parties, needs some soft furnishings to help absorb the noise levels. Also hoped to see Ryan, maybe next time 😊.

The staff are most attentive and professional at all times. The food (and plates!) are always hot too! The menu is extensive and the early bird menies are very varied.

The overall experience was very nice! From initially having our coats put into a cloakroom, to the speed of service and quality of the food. I'll definitely be coming back.

All of our party loved the food, the service and ambiance. The atmosphere in the bar was excellent and a big thank you to Ben, nothing is ever to much trouble.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch with friends. The food and service were both very good; the coffees could have been hotter and served more quickly.

Usually brilliant experience but this time not great. Food mediocre. I had the christmas turkey but 'all the trimmings' didnt include green veg or sprouts. Soft roast potatoes and a meal which seemed to have been plated for a while before service. It was 1.30 but already no parfait starter and no creme brulee pudding! Staff seemed a bit stressed although there were enough of them in a not too crowded restaurant. It felt somehow different from previous visits.....

Georges always provides an excellent selection of food and the 2/3 course special menu is excellent value. The staff at Georges are all so friendly and efficient.

Such a lovely warm, friendly and comfortable environment for friends to meet and catch up. Delicious food, we ate from the Christmas menu. Attentive staff despite our change in numbers and orders last minute, Diana was great.

Lovely restaurant. Service very friendly, food bit slow coming out and my steak was very overdone. Sent it back and next one not much better (after waiting another 10mins and rest of my party finishing their meals). Personally a bit disappointed.

I first experienced Georges restaurant some 6 - 8 months previous with my wife, albeit the food was OK, both my wife and I felt the restaurant had let itself and us down as we had to wait 35 - 40 minuets before we were asked if either of us would like a drink after being shown to our table. and each course just seemed to extend the time of waiting thereafter. That said, my wife and I decided to give the restaurant a second chance two weeks ago, bit of a pre - wedding anniversary treat, well I have to say the staff were all 'on the ball' very pleasant, food and drinks all nicely timed, quality of food was exceptional, in fact we were that impressed we booked for the following week on our actual Wedding Anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I do recommend Georges.

Friendly staff and menu with good choices. Well cooked and presented. Two moans: 1, ask for tap water NOT still water because you'll get a very expensive bottle; 2, although my meal was good it was a little light on the meat element compared to the veg!

Lovely meal and wine and great service too. I had the fish and it was cooked really nicely and the sauce went really well with the dish. Nice comfortable restaurant

From start to finish - a great service with fresh tasty food set in a great atmosphere with great drink options - in all a fab night out

Had the Sunday lunch , loved it. Also had an Expresso Martini for dessert, yummy. Live music in the bar area, such a lo way to spend a lazy afternoon.

I have been a few times and it has always been cold but this visit it was warm and manager and staff on duty was very nice

Very attentive staff and excellent food. Good with our 3 children with very comfortable surroundings we will definitely return. Our daughter really enjoyed her 40th birthday!!
