Fabulous attentive service everyone enjoyed their meal my Steak could have been thicker and the pepper sauce was not strong enough for my liking but an enjoyable evening was had

Enjoyed a lovely family dinner. Pleasant surroundings, attentive service, good choice of wines & the food was excellent. The menu is a bit more up market but you genuinely get what you pay for. It does have an early bird menu which is great value but we tend to eat off the A la carte. Would recommend for couples & those without younger children in the party.

Always a pleasure to dine at Georges, would certainly recommend to friends and family.

The wait staff were a little over worked but otherwise had a good experience. Food was great as always.

Meal for 3 took 4 hrs to serve Restaurant packed and service could cope We booked in advance - meal was ok but wait disappointing albeit we could see staaff working really hard You could have served our table of 4 while the table of 20 were deliberating over the menu Will still come back but if happens again it would be difficult to justify any return visit

Had an amazing night as always at George's. The service and food was excellent. Just one thing i have to comment on is that the vegan menu is great and the vegan food is lovely but you really need to make more of an effort for a vegan dessert. A little bit more imagination other than fruit and sorbet would be appreciated.

As usual we really enjoyed our visit . The food was very good and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Menu wasnt as extensive as expected and though restaurant was quiet while there our second drink didnt make it to our table, but did make it to the bill.

Arrived at 11.25 did not get offered a drink for 40 mins food arrived and then drink arrived after meal 1 hour and 15 mins. Very disappointing as we had booked as a surprise for my daughters 21st.

The fish of the day (Coley) was rather uninteresting but the pork chops were a good size and flavour.

Sunday dinner was lovely but my partner had the smallest fish dish for his main course . Actually looked like a starter . Service was very poor, much too slow . A couple sat next to us waited an hour for their food . Won’t be rushing back .

Lovely restaurant and well priced Sunday menu... only knocking down a bit as our seat was not in the best area (2 squeezed in opposite the welcome desk) and the yorkshire pudding was more like a stodgy cake! Otherwise everything was lovely and i'd come back for the haddock fishcake starter alone!

Amazing food, amazing service. Had the Monday night menu and couldn't have been happier. Portions were just right for 3 courses. Always amazing every time I have dined there.

Nice location with good decor. Food ok though was surprised to be given a slice of brioche with the leek and potato soup. Waiting staff seemed overstretched and a bit inexperienced. When we complained about the teaspoon sized scoop of ice cream served with the crumble we we were told it was meant to be like that even though other desserts came with a more usual sized scoop and waitress stuck to this . The crumble itself was more like broken up chunks of shortbread biscuit on top of fruit.

I booked a table online for 6 people, Saturday 23rd March at 7.15 pm. We were there for my daughter’s hen party. One girl is 8 months pregnant. We arrived at 7.10 At 7.15 we went to ask for our table. Our table wasn’t ready and were asked to wait in the bar We got our table approximately 7.55 pm No one came to take a drinks order - we had to ask someone. The same applied with food order (after waiting 35 minutes) Service was extremely poor, so when a man asked if he could offer drinks on the house, we had some wine and Prosecco taken off the bill Overall it was a very frustrating evening as we were always looking for someone to serve us. The food was mediocre. We finished our meal about 11.00 pm Fortunately our group were able to have a good evening despite the poor service I won’t be returning until things improve

Inexperienced waiting staff (overfamiliar and far too casual - kept giving us a thumbs up!), items not available from menu, wrong wine delivered to table, no salt in salt cellar, long time wait between courses with no explanation ( restaurant wasn't busy either). All in all not a visit I want to repeat which is a shame as the food was quite nice.

Poor waiting staff, at no point in the evening did they seem to care. Both waiters in our area seemed fixed on flirting with the two girls to our right. The menus remained on a side ledge until half way through our meal. Empty glasses just pushed to the side. Food was ok, my partners significantly better than mine. Overall underwhelming

Our order was taken incorrectly so only 1 duck starter arrived instead of 2. We had to then wait for it to be made. If the order had have been repeated and confirmed this would not have happened. The waitress was rather rude, when asked politely whether the soup comes with bread as it arrived without was told "I only have one pair of hands" then she just walked off! We didn't even get a chance to say that "we were only asking as we would have ordered some and paid extra if not". The bread was then brought to the table by a different waitress. I have eaten here before and the waiting staff have only ever been friendly, helpful and accommodating. Hoping my next visit will be a more pleasurable one as this made myself and my friend who hadn't dined here before feel rather uncomfortable. It was a shame that this first experience for her means she may not now return.

Visited this highly recommended spot for breakfast. The service was very slow, had to ask for our food, there was no sausages, no butter arrived with the toast, had to request this and condiments. The potato rosti were overcooked and at no point were we asked if we would like anymore drinks or if the food was ok. I was left feeling disappointed.

Food waiting times spot on, service waiting times too long. Other than that, couldn’t have been a better Sunday roast.

Food ok lacked seasoning but staff pleasant and nice .

Although a very lovely restaurant inside, the food wait was over an hour and looking round we were the only ones waiting for food, others were eating. Ordered Sunday lunch it wasn’t particularly warm and the beef was meant to be pink but come well cooked and very dry. It was edible so we ate. Staff weren’t very intentive on 3 occasions we had to get the attention of a waiter for drinks, dessert menus and then again for the bill.

Limited menu. Alternatives recommended not available also. Probably not return

Food was expensive ,pork chop served raw in middle, service quite slow. Staff very nice and apologetic didn't charge for meal or dessert.

This is a really popular venue. The menu is more upmarket & this is reflected in the price. We were impressed with the quality of the food & portion size is generous. A good choice of wines not overpriced. Great place for dinner with friends with attentive service,pleasant surroundings & live entertainment on a Friday night.
