George's Dining Room and Bar

I visited Georges with my friend and our children on a Friday evening. The staff showed us to a really nice table in the corner of the restaurant. The staff were very attentive and food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Parma Violet Martini 😋.

Lively restaurant; the early menu is excellent, a la carte menu does need a little more variety on choices. Starter on a la carte small.

Lovely restaurant and the staff were really attentive. They forgot one thing I’d ordered so can’t give them top marks but all in all, it was great. Would recommend and return.

Can’t fault the food, service and attention to detail was fantastic, however the waiter wasn’t sure of the meals he was serving and gave us the wrong dishes, maybe a little more attention is needed from him when in the kitchen, this being said complimentary desserts were offered and enjoyed.

Excellent service from waitress however main course served was cold for 2 of the party of 6 everyone had finished eating by the time our meal was returned. Disappointing first experience having paid almost £300 with a service charge for 2 courses and no offer of discount 🙁

Lovely atmosphere and the service was superb. We went to celebrate birthdays and were treated to cocktails. The food was top notch. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great food, lovely atmosphere. Location is really nice also being Worsley Village. Highly recommend the beef roast dinner on a Sunday. They also do set menus.

Fantastic service from all staff. Very professional and welcoming. The food was incredible. I was expecting small portions but they were really large. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Great food and a lot of variety, slightly slow service but was busy evening. Friendly staff and would go back. Plenty of parking near the restaurant as well.

Excellent service from friendly warm welcome to the surprise birthday cake to finish off our meal. We had the Sunday roast which was lovely and finished of with a cocktail in the bar listening to a great singer.

I was very disappointed! The soup was extremely salty admittedly they offered us another starter. The Oriental duck stir fry was served on far to small a plate - went everywhere whilst eating. I noted other diners had far larger bowls for the same meal. The raspberry parfait was frozen solid and difficult to cut so waited until it had defrosted, and we were told it was meant to be frozen. I gained the impression we were considered a nuisance. I should have complained directly to the chef! So meal was very expensive considering the poor quality!!!

Visited a few times now.Always a relaxed friendly atmosphere,the food and service is always excellent. Would visit time and time again without hesitation. Thank you.

Lovely birthday breakfast and great service as usual. George’s full breakfast was lovely as was eggs benedict, perfect poached eggs! Will be back very soon.

I took my mum for mother’s day and it was both our first time visiting, the interior is stunning and the food was perfect from start to finish. The only reason I can’t give full stars is because of the wait time on our drinks when we arrived (about twenty minutes) then our gravy that was suggested to us to get with our main, didn’t arrive with our main. Nevertheless, the staff were lovely when they got to us. (I would put it down to a busy day maybe/hopefully?)

Excellent food and atmosphere! We had the set Christmas menu, I had the salmon wellington and it was gorgeous! We had to ask for Christmas crackers but didn’t mind!

Was really disappointed in the set menu for mother’s day!! And they wanted to charge me £26.95 for a three course meal, when I had only had the main course!! Usually like it here but on this occasion, it left me not wanting to go back!!

Great food and service would recommend to anybody, staff were excellent, food was served quickly and drinks were brought to the table promptly, great value for money

A wonderful Sunday lunch, roast beef cooked to perfection, vegetables & potatoes lovely. Expensive but worth every penny. Bar staff friendly & chatty. Will definitely return.

The restaurant was generally excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive and very polite. Food was very good, although my steak was not as hot as I normally like it. Very good, everyone left very happy with the experience.

The meal started off great as the starter was great, then I was told by the waitress that I was being upgraded to a fillet steak from a sirloin as they had run out, she then came back and said ignore that we have got sirloin, the main took ages to arrive, when it did it was stone cold, when the waiter asked ‘how was our meal’ we said ‘tasty but cold’ he just said ‘sorry to hear that’ as he walked off. The ladies toilets was almost unbearable to be in with the smell coming from the middle broken toilet...something you would expect from a back street pub!

Lovely relaxed environment which is family friendly. Food is amazing - definitely recommend the roast beef! Waiting staff friendly and attentive without being over-bearing. Will definitely go back.

My friends and I Enjoyed the fixed price lunch menu. It was Very good value. The Staff were very attentive. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Food was a let down , food greasy , cooked in old fat which you could smell in the bar. We had a long wait because there were a couple of large parties in. This was at 6 pm! I don't think we will be returning for a while!

Lovely brunch menu thoroughly enjoyed it! Nice choice of food on menu and staff were helpful. Aside from having to ask for quiet table so we could talk was great experience.

The server today wasn’t as helpful and friendly as we have come to expect from this establishment. The food was delicious and the setting was perfect as usual.

The service was terrible. The staff don’t feel like they belong and the food was just as bad. This restaurant really needs to take a look in mirror and either lower its expectations or higher them with new ideas and management.

Service from the waiting team was great, very attentive and food arrived quickly. Valentines Day menu was limited but high quality. The Valentine themed after dinner shots 'on the house' were a great touch.

Fantastic even though service was delayed due to a large party taking precedent but was really excellent food really hot and tasty and service was made up but polite head of service

Steak was chewy. Seabass was tasteless. In and out in 50 minutes for a three course meal on Valentine’s Day. Won’t be going back there.

Staff as always are so tentative and lovely, the food was gorgeous - lunchtime menu is great value for money and it had a great atmosphere for quiet lunch

Nice place, desserts were good and enjoyable the mains were a little dissapointing severly lacking in flavour basically due to the fact that grill their steaks without any seasoning at all, not even a little salt and peppar, makes it a very boring piece of meat and for the price it should be much better. No Matser Chef here I'm affraid.

Had a great night. Food was excellent with plenty of choice. The service was also excellent . The bar area was ideal for a drink after the meal. As I currently have to use crutches to walk I was put on a table ideal for easy access and the disabled toilets were so clean . Will definelty return and recommend Mark
