It was our first time eating at George's, we really enjoyed our Christmas lunch, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend to others. My companion had never been before and thought the ambience was good and would go again.

Staff were friendly and restaurant was decorated lovely for Christmas however apart from 4 people arriving after us we still had to wait an hour for our main meals to arrive and when they did the meat was all cold . Very small portions ... had to pay extra for vegetables would not recommend to friends or return unfortunately

Fabulous food & dining area. Will be returning. Small bar area with little room to move, as popular. Reasonably priced drinks with a good menu choice.

The food was great, but we had to make.our way through a huge, very noisy crowd in the bar when we arrived which was very off putting and, despite a lovely couple of helpful waitresses, our service was quite slow

Food was excellent good value and well presented staff very friendly temperature of restaurant just right. The only point I would like to make is the front entrance is NOT disabled friendly

Surprisingly nice place. Nice food, stylish. Very good service and value, only one minor fault on that one of our party’s fish was a bit small but when notified they were very quick to resolve it. Would go back without hesitation

Nice ambiance in the restaurant and bar and fantastic choice of food, the food is presented well, service excellent and staff very polite, reasonably priced food and value for money. We will be back soon.

Excellent customer service. A member of our party had special dietary requirements and the chef managed to provide a fantastic meal despite the restrictions. Waiting staff were dressed impeccably and were extremely pleasant. We will definitely return. Thank you

Decent experience, but not as good as our first trip 2 weeks previous, meat a little tougher, portions a little smaller but overall OK. Still think drinks are expensive, food reasonable value

Most enjoyable afternoon not too busy and a very pleasant meal , The staff was also very helpfull and friendly Would go back again for another meal

Excellent menu, good value and super service. We vidit often and would fully recommend. There are offers on particular evenings, so certainly well worth considering.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and was lovely and warm on a cold night. We had the Monday night menu which was 'fish night'. Not huge portions but all our meals were cooked and presented well.

Lovely restaurant with exceptional food. Only downside was although the serving staff were very nice the service was a little slow - otherwise well worth the visit.

Great restaurant, staff are excellent, food fabulous and atmosphere was buzzing. Cocktails were flowing during the happy hour. Bar was very busy throughout the night, but the bar staff dealt with it well. Overall lovely evening and we'll be back!

We have eaten at George’s numerous times but this was the nicest Sunday lunch we have had. From start to finish although very busy Service was excellent.

Previous experiences at George`s have been excellent. However, on this occasion the food was as good as usual but unfortunately the service let it down.

Waiting times between the courses is dreadful although apologies was given as the staff were fully aware. Kitchen staff need to be more organised to ensure meals are served within fair timescale.

More variety needed on starters. Also steak wasn’t cooked as requested (. Was still blood coming out). Was sent back and returned cooked but was extremely chewy as you’d expect being recooked. Front of house staff were great tho although I left hungry

Very friendly staff who were very attentive. Good menu. My starter was excellent and main course also. Presentation very good and a great night withe excellent food. Will book again soon

Food beautiful but spoiled by having burnt toast & cold desert. Staff very pleasant when in attendance ,but very slow. Kitchen could not cope with the volume of customers

Lovely meal and it was so nice to be in a restaurant with no loud background music - was able to talk to my hard of hearing mum without shouting !! Will definitely return and recommend. Thank you

Great service from beginning to end and good value for Sunday lunch menu. One criticism is that the roast beef dinner, the roast potatoes were all mashed in with the mashed potatoes, making the roasts soggy. There should have been more greens and carrots. Just a small amount of broccoli and one shaved carrot.

The place is lovely! The food was great! The service was fantastic, staff well on point!! Will Highly recommend to all family and friends. Definitely will be returning.

Great atmosphere, ambiance and friendly attentive staff. My only disappointment was that the menu is quite restrictive - hence the fact the choice is limited. The fillet steak was very good though. Would definitely return for a drink at least.

Choice of a la Carte or 3 course prix fixe menus and excellent choice on both. 4 dining and each ordered different foods and every one was delicious. Busy restaurant but not intrusive and a great atmosphere.

Food very average one of the meals was taken off the bill because it had to be re cooked and was not to done to requirements

Food and service was lovely. We arrived about 6 and the restaurant was pretty quiet at first but got busier as time went on, so there was a nice atmosphere.

Good range of dishes on the menu at attractive set menu prices. Food was served hot and nicely presented. Staff gave the right amount of attentiveness. Fairly nice decor but I didn't like the rattan chairs as they give a cheap, conservatory feel; more solid upholstered chairs would be more fitting to the quality of food.

We went for sunday lunch parking was a problem but the food and service was very good and we are going again maybe we will try monday.

Relatively busy for a Monday evening. Opted for a main course (£10) from the Italian set menu - pasta carbonara which was nice but did need extra seasoning. Wine expensive at £6+ for a 175ml (medium) glass. Service was ok apart from having to ask a male waiter twice for the bill.

Food was lovely but we done the service slow. We waited rather too long between courses and we had to ask for some of the accompaniments. When it came to dessert we had to ask where they were and then they served three of us while the other three waited another five minutes. Luckily it was worth waiting for.

Staff very good - food wasn’t hot enough - beef was tough - soup needed seasoning as did the rest of the meal - wine over priced

Excellent brunch for 3, maybe a tad slow service but I suppose it's supposed to be a chilled out meal and I'm not ine for relaxing!

Excellent service, excellent food in a smart setting. We visited on a Tuesday, when there was 25% off, making the experience even more enjoyable. The first visit for us but certainly not the last!

The restaurant had nice decor and friendly and attentive staff who were smartly dressed. Food was well prepared and presented nicely and the monday night menu worked well..

Lovely service, great food and good atmosphere. I went for Saturday lunch with my parents who were visiting from Wales. It's really convenient as it's next to the motorway and easy to find and also has parking. There was a set menu which was really good value, but we went al a carte and the food was served to a very high standard. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back soon.

Excellent food, beautifully presented. Friendly helpful staff made us welcome and opened the fire escape door so the disabled member of our party had easy access. We also appreciated the Tuesday evening 25% discount.

We had a lovely meal, went for the early evening offer. The service was perfect, attentive enough but not so much that it interferred with our girly catch up.
