as always the staff are polite and unobtrusive, service is a little slow in terms of getting the food but the food is freshly cooked and good. We were there for brunch which is excellent value

Amazing early bird menu. £16.95 for 3 courses and a great choice on there. Also do 25% off the a la carte menu on Tuesdays. Food was really delicious!!

We went to Georges Restaurant in Worsley last Sunday and had a lovely meal. The food was good, the staff were pleasant and helpful and overall it was a very pleasant experience

Food and service excellent. A tad pricey but hey, if the food and service is good , this is only an issue if standards fall. Car parking could be a problem on a busy evening as space is limited.

Food tastes amazing with a good variety. We ate from the early bird menu which is great value for money. Good choice of wine and spirits. Cosy environment

The staff were fabulous , especially the girl who works in Crete through the summer ( forgot her name). We were given a taster plate of gin cured salmon that was delicious so we obviously complemented it and a few minutes later another arrived !! The meal itself was faultless other than a little too much truffle oil on my chips which made them a little soggy - they were taken off my bill ! We wouldn’t nomally have three courses but I told the waitress I was having a treat with it being my birthday , to which she replied “ pick any cocktail off the menu as a complimentary birthday drink !! These little touches were so lovely ! We cannot wait to go George’s again !!!

Yes George’s was a lovely place, the food was tasty and presentable and the staff were very friendly and nice too would definitely go back there again 👍🏻

George’s dining room has a really lovely atmosphere and they provide really great service. The food is really good quality and there is plenty of choice for everyone.

my children treated us to a meal at George's,we had the starter which was nice then we ordered ribeye steak everything was nice except the steak which was full of fat, I struggled through half of mine but my husband couldn't even cut his with a steak knife.l blame the chef he would have known the steaks were full of fat just by looking at them and if he would have been a good chef he would not have served them ,they gave a refund on one meal and a 10.00 voucher which I am happy about but it really spolt the night as I hate complaining,l must say the staff were really nice. We will probably go back but won't be having the steak.

Superb food and excellent service as always. However as George's is also a locals drinking venue, an after dinner drink is either at the table, or a scrum in the bar area. On a Friday night we finished our meal but had to leave as the bar was so busy and noisy. Shame really.

Gorgeous as always. Love it at George’s, local and great value for top quality food. Choose George’s every time. Can’t wait until the next time.

Enjoyable food, good selection of drinks, staff attentive. The only negative was it was cold in the dinning room. We will deffinately dine there again.

Looking at other reviews I think there is a problem with breakfast service. George's restaurant is very pleasant, in a lovely location with friendly staff. Unfortunately we also had a 45 minute wait (though not particularly busy) indeed my cup of tea never arrived and the food was quite poor, 1 piece of over cooked bacon. Good job I was in good company (thus the 2 points )I will not be returning for breakfast.

Brilliant as always, we’ve never been disappointed when we’ve been to George’s. such value for money also.

Visited Georges many times and never had a bad meal, but this meal was not the usual 5* previously experienced. Steaks were of poor quality.

Excellent all round. Food quality and service perfect from start to finish. This was a first visit and will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

Very pleasant but somehow lacking in atmosphere. Can’t complain about the venue, fab location. The staff were great, food was good but there was something missing....? Maybe cos it was quiet.

Me and my family love coming to George’s. The service is usually spot on and the food is always exceptional. However, tonight the service was embarrassing. We had 5 under 10’s in our party, 1 under 16 and 9 adults, 1 of which being over 90. The waitress who tended to us at the beginning was really good but you could tell she was struggling. She had our party, plus 2-3 other tables to deal with and it seemed as if she had to manage the whole upstairs on her own. This resulted in slow order taking service. Once the orders had been taken, the children were waiting 40+ minutes for their food (after already waiting 30+ minutes for orders to be taken) and as you can imagine they started to get restless. We asked for the children’s food(mains) to be served with the adults starters which didn’t happen, and when the children’s food finally came (most of which being burgers) they were all burnt. The adults mains were served at 4:20 which was over 2 hours after the time that the table was originally booked for (2:15). There was an extremely rude and very mouthy, opinionated waitress tending to us half way through the meal and in the end we had to ask another member of staff not to allow her to serve us any longer, which they were more than happy to do. After that we had just the 1 waitress who was absolutely spot on. What a shame we didn’t get this service right through the meal. We will be making a formal complaint to the proprietors of the restaurant, as we would like to go higher than the general manager, and would advise all large parties to stay well away. As I’ve said before the service (when George’s isn’t too busy) is usually brilliant and it’s a shame that me and my family were let down on this occasion. Most of our meals were really nice but like I say, the children had to wait and then wait even longer because we sent food back. I won’t be returning to George’s in the near future.

Enjoyable meal, great Christmas festive decoration inside, staff were young and attentive, will visit again during coming few months probably for afternoon tea or early bird menu.

Went to Georges for brunch, the food was beautiful, well presented and it was reasonably priced too. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and is set n beautiful surroundings .Visiting again on New Years Day.

The service was very slow and the food wasn’t as good as Christmas Eve. The two waitresses that were working found it difficult to look after the number of tables

Great cocktails, good atmosphere. Food was ok. I chose from the Christmas menu and had the beef short rib. It was a little over cooked, the root veg were cooked perfectly but overall the dish was quite bland. My husband had fish and chips, excellent fish but the chips were fries. Chips with fish should be chunky! For desert we shared a creme brulee and I have to say it was excellent. One of the best I've had.

We dine at George's often (3 times in December) and had been telling my brother in law and his wife how amazing it was so booked for Xmas Eve as a treat. The restaurant was busy but not as busy as previous times and the food was disappointing. The waitress gave my husband the wrong starter so we had to wait for it to be cooked again, I had the beef short rib, which i have had before and it was substandard and my brother in law had the sunday beef roast which was hard and chewy, he asked for it pink. We had to ask for water several times, but paid drinks came very quickly. There was plenty of staff so not sure why things were not good. Atmosphere was good, but food let us down which is why we dine there. think it might be while before we go again if at all.

Excellent Boxing Day, at George’s Restaurant. The food was good, the entertainment excellent, and the drinks were on Happy Hour all day. Service could have been quicker, but it gave us more time to enjoy the meal and evening. Would definitely go back in the future.

Very slow service and poor, over cooked, small quantity of food - didn’t warrant the price tag! Second time we have been over Christmas and will not be visiting again!!

Visited George’s many times before, ordered from the fixed price menu on this occasion food was very good and reasonably priced. Also had a couple of drinks in the bar area afterwards where prices aren’t what you would call cheap but a good selection and a good atmosphere

Lovely food,the ambiance and decor of therestaurant are really good. Excellent service nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. 2 course lunch just £14.95. Brilliant
