The whole experience was very enjoyable staff are zttentive and listen to customers, when we asked for a short break between courses this happened although it was quite quiet so no rush to get us out. Size of portions were good but not too much so no waste which is good to see too often we waste food. The food was quality not quantity. Only slight down side the price of drink is higher than equivalent restaurants. Was not my first visit and will not be my last, i would and do recommend it to friends.

We were well looked after by happy staff and loved the food. Possibly one of the best meals we've had outside India. Pleased to see hand hygiene was taken seriously with an overhead wipe available easily and used often. Well done

Really delicious food and flavours that were different to the usual Indian and indian style restaurants. Good size portions with plenty of the main ingredients The service was good and the staff were friendly and made the evening enjoyable. Would come again to try other things on the menu.

We visited the Gurka 6 years ago—it was nice to visit again on our trip through Edinburgh.

My 1st visit to this place but will not be my last, stunningly fresh food and lots of it and backed up by warm and inviting staff.

Good food, but VERY slow service. It was so slow, one person in our party had to leave before our dessert was served, which was more than an hour and a half after we ordered lunch.

We were a party of four looking for some Indian food. Two in the party were of Indian an Pakistan descendants. We ordered spicy fish, prawn, Birianni? And chicken korma. All meals were tasty but a few more prawns would have been welcome. There were many people of Indian-Pakistan origin,dining, always a good sign. We all enjoyed our meal and will return. It was my second visit.

Really good food, good service, lovely helpful staff. Does use a little bit too much MSG but I'd still go back it was that good.

What a great wee find. Staff were lovely, food was absolutely amazing, really glad that we don’t stay that far away and can easily visit again. Can’t wait to go back.
