Le Mistral - Nottingham

Great food friendly staff and really good value for the money. We are all had different started and mains and all were happy. Too full for desert we will return.

Nice restaurant in Nottingham. The food was good but definitely had better French food. The staff were nice but they didn’t pay as much attention to us as to bigger groups and we waited a fair bit for our food. We would go back though.

A pleasant evening - food was good not amazing. Overall we had a good evening. Service was good. Restaurant quite difficult to find in the dark.

This was my second visit and I love it. Beautiful ambience, great food, friendly service and it really does feel like you are in France.

Nice and warm when I visited on the 5th February, one of the coldest days of the year. A very pleasant girl in charge, I was made to feel welcome while waiting for my friend to arrive. Both our meals were lovely. I have visited several times before and have never had any complaints. Nice rooms, relaxing atmosphere, decently priced food. Lovely.

Went today and was disappointed compared to our visit there last year. Beef was very tough and there was no home made Yorkshire pudding this time.

Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices and a good wine list. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening with good service in pleasant surroundings.

Whole experience was very rushed staff attitude very poor talking loud in Spanish across the small restaurant while one was eating dinner and the other behind the bar will not be going back anytime soon☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

It was very cold inside which was a shame but the food was lovely as always. Staff are all very friendly too. One of our favourite places.

WAITED NEARLY A HOUR BETWEEN STARTER AND MAIN COURSE. ONLY 3 OTHER TABLES IN USE SO WASN'T BUSY. WAITRESS VERY FRIENDLY. WON'T BE VISITING AGAIN

Excellent service, delicious food....well worth a visit. This lovely restaurant is tucked away in a courtyard off Nottingham Wheeler Gate....discover it and enjoy! Interesting menu including specials dishes.

Lovley place good food & nice atmosphere. Went for lunch menu was well priced...Will definitely go back and try the Evening menu. Was busy but food still came quickl.

This restaurant made my boyfriend's 21st, it was cosy, friendly and delicious. The service was great, the food was quick and also was amazing! Would recommend this and will certainly be back! Thank you!

Food was amazing and service was great. I can recommend the moules frites washed down with a couple of Meteor lagers. Also the baked camembert sharing platter was amazing.

Go there often because it has great food with a good choice on the menu. The service is always good with pleasant staff. It has small cosy rooms which makes for a great ambience.

It's a quite authentic French restaurant nestled in the heart of Nottingham. Lovely food. Very nice staff. The lunch menu is good value for money.

Le Mistral is one of our favourite city restaurants and my partner and I are fairly regular patrons. We had a very pleasant evening with 3 friends. Attractive ambience, excellent food and pleasant helpful service.

The restaurant was a little oasis hidden away in a quiet courtyard and it provided a welcome break from rushing around the shops. Good food and service.

Lovely food could not fault a thing about my experience. Will definitely be returning. We was greeted with a warm welcome and the waitress couldn't do enough for us

Staff were good, food good, glad we didnt arrive later as tables who did were tild that not everything in the menu was stull available

As usual our meal and the ambiance was excellent. . We have recommended several of our friends and relations and all had a pleasant surprise. We have been also with friends and relations and no one has been disappointed . Thank you we will be coming again soon .

Lovely restaurant, quiet and cosy. A little oasis in busy town centre. Great service and friendly staff. Good choice of food on the menu, although not much vegetarian choice.

The ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasant and the chicken main dish I had was quite good. But I thought it expensive for what it was and the helping was not generous. The main problem, though, was the temperature. They opened at noon after a frosty night. We entered just after 1 pm and the first floor dining room did not warm up to a comfortable level until around 2 pm.

Went for the 2 for £29 deal and the menu choices were excellent, the restaurant were flexible with choices too. Tastes were very good and preparation almost there, I say that because some of my 'new potatoes' were hard and also the portion size of the pork dish I had was less than palm size. Service was grand and the atmosphere in the place was very relaxed. Will I go back? Yes for sure, enjoyed it and at least with the portion sizes I didn't feel needlessly overstuffed.

The service was very poor and did not meet even basic requirements and in addition two of the meals had to be sent back and redone even after they had taken action to address the poor quality we had to ask for a manager in order to get an acceptable solution. It was not a good experience- we asked to move table and they told us that they could not because 3 tables were going to be put together and then sat 3 separate couple down. We will not be going back and can not recommend them.

The service was terrible, we were ignored and had to ask for cutlery on more than one ocassion. It was my mother’s birthday so I was extremely disappointed to have had such a bad experience. The food was also not good, the beef bourginon was chewy and the creme brulee was unsatisfactory also. It is a shame as we have visited Le Mistral in Sherwood a few times previous to this and it has been the opposite; relaxing with friendly caring staff. Our conversation was constantly interrupted by the waitress cleaning cutlery and throwing it into a container very close to our table. We had to wait at least 20 minutes for the drinks and even longer for the bill. The staff were mire concerned to carry on their personal conversations at high volume and with inappropriate subject matter. We shall not be returning.

Unfortunately not what we expected. Tables very close together and every time the front Dorr, which opened directly into the dining area, there was a gust of cold wind. Whenever a drinks order was taken to the bar it was queried by the lady behind the bar. We ordered 2 drinks from their menu but she had no idea what they were and had to be shown the description. The food was ok but when i had nearly finished my bowl I found a huge crack beneath the sauce. This had obviously been there some while as it extended right through the bowl and was ingrained with dirty food. I pointed this out to the waitress and was told they would throw the bowl out. No sorry or anything. Wont go again and will not recommend

Our experience was poor. The main had the texture if either being kept warm or left for too long before service. The creme fraiche on the pudding looked like it had been thrown on. Presentation poor. Service at table barely adequate, long waits and we felt ignored. The restaurant wasn't full although, it is hardly an excuse if it had been busy. I've been several times before and the experience was very different. This visit very disappointing. Had it been my first visit I would definitely not return or recommend to family and friends.

The Restaurant was cold food wasn't very warm didn't complain eaten at the restaurant many times & really enjoyed it but this time just ok

Lovely food especially the Camenbert - never disappoints. Staff are welcoming and friendly and it has a lovely ambience. Don't delay - try it today you won't regret it

Mistral used to be a French restaurant now serving roast turkey, linguine, sea bass with chariozo. That's English, Italian and Spanish. I had the Spanish with one small seabass fillet, there should have been two based on the weight of fish. Cold and spikey unfriendly service. I have been here many times and will not now go again.

Great menu of French classics. Good ambience and atmosphere. Good value set menu. Wine selection understandably mainly French but several by glass. Will definitely return

food not up to standard for the price. no sauce at all for fricasse, was very small, dry portion. also some of meal it was cold. complaint was not really dealt with, said she wld inform kitchen. we were too polite.

Very friendly staff. Lovely food. We were crammed into a small corner but this didn't spoil the experience. Would recommend this place but not quite as French as I was expecting .

It was good again & my friend (first time visitor) says she would definitely come again. Bit drafty when the door was open but I suppose that can't be helped without a double door.

Lovely food on the lunch time menu. Great, friendly staff & reasonable prices. It’s a cosy, little place tucked away from the huddle & bustle of the town centre. Been a few times & would definitely recommend.
