Le Mistral - Nottingham

Yet another fantastic dining experience at this lovely little hidden gem. I've never been disappointed yet. Christmas lunch with friends and we all left happy and well fed.

Food excellent & service. Only downside restaurant emailed to request deposit & we couldn’t contact them by phone or leave message so risked the table being available. Not a good system.

Waitresses were very welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious Had to ask twice for the bread and despite this it took 15mins to arrive which was disappointing considering there were only 3 other tables of diners in the restaurant at that time

My friend and I visit Le Mistral often, so it was a natural choice for our Christmas time meet up. It was lovely and cosy inside, perfect for a cold winters day. The food was delicious as usual, and the service was friendly and attentive as always. Le Mistral continues to be my favourite restaurant!

Nice, relaxed atmosphere, good food and drinks, and the staff were great. Good place to go to eat, drink, and be able to talk with your friends.

We had a lovely time meal was very good as it is always often use this restaurant when we come in to town . Staff are very helpful and friendly.⭐️⭐️⭐️ Margaret.

All 3 courses were delicious. Personally my desert portion was on the small side though not in comparison to others served. Overall, really nice food.

Dustbins outside the front door were far from welcoming . The waitress forgot to point out the evenings Specials menu. They had already run out of starters that we wanted at 6.45 on a Saturday evening. Staff were pleasant but not particularly attentive. We were asked if we would like water with our drinks to which we said yes please but it never arrived. Our main course was served in bowls and although tasted okay was not anything better than a microwave dinner. We will not be going back again which is a shame as we were looking forward to the evening for my boyfriends birthday. Overall it was disappointing.

The atmosphere was great- the restaurant was not to busy at the time so the table service was very prompt. We ordered of the specials menu and everything was really nice

Visited here several times and have never been disappointed. The food, service is always good and we will continue to return to this great little gem.

Came here on Saturday for lunch with three girlfriends. We enjoyed a Lovely Christmas meal including a Beautiful soup, delicious fish dish and light cheesecake. Really nice house white was enjoyed too! Excellent service: Not rushed and very helpful. Heartily recommend. Thank you

We had an excellent lunch, we would thoroughly recommend. I suggest making a reservation because it was very busy. and people were being turned away.

The food was great and the service too. A teeny tiny hiccup when receiving the bill which was quickly solved. I will go back again

This is somewhere I have bought my mum & mother in law to for the last 5 years as a lunchtime treat during our Christmas shopping trip & I must say that I was a little disappointed this time. Whilst the service was friendly we were handed the menus but weren’t told that we had to choose from a small selection instead of the whole menu until our order was being taken. We’d already decided by this point so had to look again. The food was ok, again not as good as previous years. The french fries were massively over cooked, there was no potato left in them just crispy strips. The blue cheese sauce that I chose for my steak was warm milk with lumps of blue cheese at the bottom so not exactly a sauce. We ordered desserts & coffee. The coffee arrived way before the dessert which we ended up cancelling because of how long it took. A bit of a disappointing experience really to say how much we’ve enjoyed eating there previously.

Excellent food in a homely environment. The staff are friendly giving the bistro a welcoming feel. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Love the situation of this restaurant and have been before, however on this visit I didn't enjoy it as much. It felt a bit stressed and although I knew we couldn't have the table indefinitely, I felt the way in which we were asked to finish up and leave was not very polite. Perhaps have a drinks area where diners can go once they have eaten but still have drinks to finish ??? I was happy with my meal, however some of of friends did not think theirs was so good, in particular the Chicken Fricassee.

It was our first time at this restaurant and we had a lovely birthday meal for two. Good service and good food. Thanks for the nice evening.

Good food and and good service in pleasant surroundings. . This restauarant is hidden but no longer a secret and you need to book at busy times. Well worth making the effort.

We have visited on many occasions and has been exemplar! However, our visit Saturday was poor to say the least! Service lacking and food of poor stsndard! We mentioned this to the staff who said it was a ‘new chef ‘ . My advice is to get the chef trained up otherwise they will lose our custom...

Really disappointing meal - veg was raw, belly pork was fatty and tough and beef bourguignon the meat was virtually non existent for what we paid. I’m not sure what has happened - bad night or change of chef as we’ve eaten here many times and was one of our favourite restaurants- not any more I’m afraid

Nice atmosphere but the Steak with Prawns was very disappointing and the pork was very salty. Would recommend the Rioja wine and Camembert cheese for starters.

Lovely food , friendly atmosphere. Reasonably priced and very good menu selection. Would recommend for both lunches and dinner - very good offer for pre theatre meals.

Party of 4. Excellent food and service. attractive, quiet ambience 5 minutes from tram stop. One of our favourite Nottingham restaurants. We shall return soon.

Superb food; we both had hake from the lunch menu. It was cooked to perfection. We can highly recommend Le Mistral. Still our favourite Nottingham restaurant.

Excellent food and service as always. New chef makes it even better! We had the hake and the boeuf bourguignon we’re delicious as we’re the tarte limón and tarte de pomme.

Delicious Sunday lunch. The roast pork belly was divine. One of the best Roast dinners I’ve had for a long time. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Nottingham. Wish there was a Le Mistral in Birmingham!

Excellent food before going to the theatre I had the stuffed aubergines and my husband had pork steak, delicious. Waitress very efficient and friendly. Used our gourmet card, very good discount.

Having been recommended to visit, Le Mistral did not disappoint. The food was excellent and we all struggled to decide what we wanted due to the array of options. Excites to come back to this restaurant to try something else. The service too was great

Great meal, the Hake in a cream sauce was delicious, and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. Reasonable prices. The restaurant is very rustic tucked away in a courtyard.

Rustic French. Good food and very helpful waitress, Demi. Thoroughly recommend- great value for your money. Not easy to find though- hidden in an alleyway!

Excellent service from a really friendly member of staff - nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous food. We all really enjoyed the evening and will be back very soon.

Service slow. Completly different to the last visit, which I rated as excellent. The stair carpet down to the toilets was dirty. Table also felt "sticky"

Very good food and service at a reasonable price if you have the lunch meal deal which goes up to 5pm. A very pleasant ambience reflecting a French bistro.
