Fab food service and a great night had! Was lovely the steak was yummy

Been here loads of times and always had great food but this visit wasn't as good. There was an overwhelming burnt taste to the chicken and steak. We had the sharing platter, 3 types of steak, chicken, ribs and chorizo. The charging on the food had a really strong burnt taste, don't know if they use a grill or a branding iron to get the char lines/taste but it was too much. Won't put us off 're visiting but maybe ask for less char!

I'll start off with the most important part, the food. 5 star outstanding as normal. Only scored down due to wait for starters and then another hour for steaks, okay I get that it's Sat night during Edin festival but staff up appropriately.. who knows maybe one or more staff phoned in sick and praise should be given for them not dropping their standards despite many tables waiting. I'll put up with almost anything if the food is fantastic and for that reason I'll be back here again and again.

The steak was really good, but the salad consisted of six lettuce leafs , was disappointed. And the tables and chairs could be renewed. Wouldn’t go back .

The food was ok, nothing special. The service was quick but the staff were not very friendly, felt rushed in to ordering.
