Good ambiance. Good food. Beautiful decor. Customer service could be improved.

It wasnt busy enough to justify some of the mistakes happening and it was difficult to get our waiters attention most of the time, a mouse was spotted in the restaurant which also caused another guest to run out screaming in a panic.

I will start on the positives, firstly the fish was delicious as well as the vegetables. The look of the place was great and easy to get to. The macaroni cheese was OK, but to cheesy, & my Wife & I would have liked if the food overall could be more spicy. We will be looking forward to going back soon and hopefully these improvements will be made.

As it was quite busy table was not ready at slot time given, waiting staff took long with our drinks only ordered water and in the end had to collect from bar myself after waiting 15mins. Food we ordered was nice and presented well, maybe less onions as garnish. We ordered more food but the platter of meat suya was very salty so couldn't eat but owner was understanding and did not charge us which was positive, overall a nice vibes and atmosphere. I would return

We were very pleased with the venue and food. However, the service from our waitress was exceptionally bizarre and unprofessional, truly unlike anything we've ever encountered. The inability to address this with another staff member at the time was also a concern. It's clear that enhanced staff training on customer interactions is needed.

We had to wait for our table even though we had reserved it weeks ago which frustrated me a bit. But once resolved the service and food was good. The menu is confusing as we thought the price was a strange way of numbering the items, only to find it was the price. This fooled some of us and I think this should be corrected so people know what they are paying. The music was good but too loud so we could not hear each other talk - and others taked even louder to be heard. Creating the right ambience is important as people generally go to restaurants to eat and talk.

Food was amazing, but very busy. All in all, fantastic experience and will definitely be visiting again.

The food had a lot of flavour and big portions. We had a new waiter who needed a lot of help. The vibe is good with music and authentic clothes the staff made was good.

Customer service was poor and the food was average and over spiced.

Everything was good apart from waiting for a table and waiting for our food to come

We were greeted upon arrival, lovely decor. Service was exceptional as was the food and quality of the food. We will be going again as this will be our favourite! Please don’t change anything ie food or service. This is what some restaurants do and then spoil it. But thanks all at Monika’s for a lovely day.

We booked our table at 2215 and were not seated until an hour later once we were seated we were told that our table had customers seating on it and we had to stand up again once we were seated again it took another 25 minutes for someone to collect our order ! The food came and the sits was cold and chewy not impressed with the services

I’m so glad I finally made it here. Everything about the visit was 10/10 - the food, cocktails, service and atmosphere. I was aware they had mixed reviews likely due to opening up less than a year ago but they’ve done great listening to past reviews and improving their service. I really enjoyed my time at the restaurant and the food was great

Had to wait a short while to be seated as they appeared to be fully booked for 3pm. Had a great staff member assist us which was appreciated. The food was good and not too much of a wait. Good portion sizes too. Will definitely go again !!

The front of house lady needs to learn her role as she seemed a little overwhelmed so came across not very welcoming …. HOWEVER our 2 beautiful waiters were absolutely amazing, loved the ambiance of the place and the food was truly a delight … ps…. The suya powder needs an upgrade not quite what I know Nigeria is capable of. 8/0 for my first time

Most of the food was flavourful, cooked well and tasted well seasoned(the fish, asun, plantain) however the mac and cheese, and jollof rice was missing a kick and had a mid flavour. Also unfortunately, the suya meat lacked suya flavour and lacked strong flavours. Cocktails tasted nice and looked pretty, though the rum Chapman was a bit too sweet. Apart from that, overall it was a good experience and really nice service and atmosphere.

Excellent food. The atmosphere was great and will definitely visit again. We were however rushed to pay the bill without us asking first but on reflection it was a busy Friday.

Great atmosphere and decor. Service was bit slow at the begging but and the end was very attending and nice. Food arrived very quickly and was really hot and full of flavours. I would really recommend Monika to my friends 🧡

Service was very good; she was very polite, food was ayt. Only issue was had to wait for almost 20mins for my reserved table.

it was my birthday we had a very large party over 30 and not sure they could deal with the large number as long waiting times confusion on pre orders and cost and some guest never got there food some staff where very rude

Whilst I applaud the quick service, our fresh monika fish came out quite chard. When we requested for beef suya, it was served cold. Requested for Attieke to sample but never came, appreciate it was a very busy night as it was valentine's day. I'd come back on a quieter day.

Let me start by saying the food and the staff were great! When they finally come by, but the waiting time is ridiculous. 7:45 booking 10:00pm eating wow

- Wasn’t seated until 45 mins after my reservation - waited 2 hours for my food - Was requested to move 3 times - The man with the ponytail took £50 off - The man who took our order came over 1hr to ask us if we took our order - - The girls who originally sat next to us at table 6 and already eating and we order straight after them!! - Fish wasn’t cooked - We didn’t get the plantain we asked for.

When we arrived it took over 5 min to greet us then even after requesting a sofa seat was put near the main door with constant cold draught Then after being seated took over 15mins with no service I had to go to the bar to ask someone to come and take the order Then the waitress did not fully understand the menu then to top it over the sides got the main were brought out with the starter Eventually we gave up and after 29 mins trying catch a waitress attention ask to take our food away which they did yet still had the audacity to charge a service charge when I informed them of our disappointment The sad thing is the food actually tastes amazing

Great ambience. Good food variety and the customer service from Tessy was outstanding.

One of us received the wrong food 3 times..at least the manager was very helpful and kind, very appreciated, she handled the situation very well.

Food was just absolutely delicious! Service was also lovely. Will definitely be back again.
