Overall it was good and will definitely be going back!

The service was really good, food came out hot and server explained the menu really helpful. Came pretty early to have dinner as arrived with a 4 month old and left about 8.30 as it got busy. Food was really tasty, lamb chops, the whole fish.

My husband and I arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation so we were happy to wait at the bar and order our frinkbut we were still seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. It was very busy in the restaurant which is understandable given that it was a Saturday evening but waiting a further half an hour to be given a menu is ridiculous.

Would benefit from faster service and better plating of their suya platter as it looked messy. Food was tasty, there was a nice atmosphere later in the evening but very quiet in the early evening. Would reccomend having more staff as we had a long wait for the bill

Really enjoyed ourselves. The portion sizes were huge. My friend got a whale sized piece of fish, but we ate and ate. I'm still full this morning. Nice ambiance and chilled vibe. I don't like places where it's too loud, so here was great. I'm bringing my cousin and husband here, probably in 2 weeks. The only slight issue was being asked to move when it was fine where we were. In the end, staff let us sit in the same place, so no biggie. But overall an excellent night and really quite reasonable. We'll be back.

Extremely slow service. We walked out after our drinks which we waited 45mins for, didn’t want to waste more time waiting for the food! Menu looked interesting but poorly managed.

The ambiance and vibe were great until our food took 1.5 hours to arrive. They had a large group of 30 people, and we were just a group of three local moms, one of whom is pregnant, which we made sure to inform the waiter about. The food and drinks were both excellent, easily 10/10, but the service was seriously lacking—I'd give it a 4/10. I spoke to one of the staff members, possibly a supervisor, who apologized but blamed the delay on having to serve the large group first. Honestly, that excuse didn’t sit well with me. It felt like they were prioritizing the group, which included some influencers, and we were just forgotten. Pro tip: don’t let hungry moms wait—it won’t end well! I really want to love Monika, especially since I was a fan of their previous restaurant, Tila, but if the service doesn’t improve, I don’t think they’ll last long..

We had a fantastic lunch at Monika by 805. We were greeted and served by Precious who was an absolute delight and looked after us well. The food was amazing, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, has a great ambience and plays some banging afrobeat tunes. We’ll definitely return soon

Beautiful deco and restaurant. Still some work to be done regarding waiting times for food. Drinks were nice, my Chapman tasted authentic! The suya was just OK, was disappointed by the lack of heat in the suya seasoning, we had the mixed platter which came with chicken, lamb and beef. Suggest the platter is served on a hot plate. Service was good, Precios was our server and she did a nice job. Overall rating 6 /10

Very lovely experience, I love the food and the atmosphere

I recently dined at Monika by 805 with my cousin, and it was a delightful experience. We shared the platter, which was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh flavors. The service was absolutely terrible. Reserved a table for 5 and was asked to push my own tables together to accommodate seating. The waiter shattered a wine glass overs me and dint bother to apologise. Finally managed ro order food as the waiters were far and few , but the food took two hours to arrive. I asked for my drinks bill in then end and walked out. This was a birthday booking. What a shame because I had highly hope so foe this place. Avoid at all costs. Unless your fancy waiting hours for your food to arrive.
