Patara - Soho

Very very good. Great service and great menu. Went there with friends and will surely go back. Easy to locate as well and in good location.

The food was amazing as was the decor of the restaurant and can't fault how lovely the staff were. This was the 2nd Patara restaurant I have visited (previously in Vienna) and would definitely recommend!

We thought the food very good, although unusually for a Thai cuisine restaurant, the main course dishes were individual and could not be shared. Service was generally good, but oddly one of the three of us had a very long wait for coffee - after realising the first waiter had forgotten, he alerted a second, who did the same! Eventually, a third member of staff rescued him, and the coffee was produced quite quickly after he had spoken to her.

Beautiful restaurant with lovely food and cocktails. Was packed on a Saturday evening but was not too loud that you could not hear your companions. Would definitely return.

I have been to this restaurant many times but today the service was poor. The black cod was not up to usual standard. Meal a bit mediocre over all

We went for the banquet option, not something we would normally do but we fancied all on the banquet menu, food was great and the service was excellent as well, thanks

Be adventurous and try something different, you will pleasantly surprised. Excellent atmosphere service food and a wonderful meal all round!! Make this place part of your theatre night out to complete the perfect London city experience!!

The service was very chaotic and we kept having to ask over again for drinks. The food was mostly good and restaurant was Pretty but upstairs is the best part.

Had the Patara Banquet set menu. Not cheap, but you get so much food for your money. The Crisp Sea Bass in Tamarind Sauce a personal favourite. My partner and I agreed the Dark Chocolate Pudding was probably the best dessert we'd ever had. So yeah, it's a pretty top place!

The food was good! I got the King Prawn Pad Thai which is made so well and my partner got the Lamb Chops and papaya salad. I greatly appreciate the attentive service we received! I just haven't given it 6 because it is quite a busy atmosphere (we went on a Thursday evening).

Fabulous Thai food: much subtler and more sophisticated than most Thai restaurants. Very busy but service was still friendly and attentive. Took a while to get the bill, but apart from that, brill!

We thought the food was OK but very much for Westerners' tastes, no real punch or flavour. We also had a problem with the meal: After our starters we got one cuury and some chilli prawns, but none of the rest of our order, we also didn't get any rice or noodles. We had to wait 15mins to finally receive a portion of rice but still nothing else. The idea of Thai food is to share all the dishes between the guests and the experience was ruined. The waitress promised that she would sort out something with our bill, but at the end we were still charged full price for a very unsatsfiying experience.

very attentive and good service. the food was good but not up to the level i would justify the prices. The ambient is however lovely and definitely a place to go more for the surroundings and relaxed atmosphere.

Fantastic food and service. One of my favourites! This is one of the nicest Thai restaurants in London. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Went to Patara with 3 friends. The food was wonderful and waitresses efficient and courteous but and for us it was a big minus - our reservation was at 6 and at 7.30 literally having just finished eating, still enjoying our wine we were asked to leave the table and sit in the bar area, the two tables in that area were occupied. Managers solution ask one of the couples to move. i realise that the majority of restaurants have a two hour window but being asked to leave the table after an hour and a half is taking the biscuit and it wasn't a cheap meal.

Delicious food & perfect service. I went with 2 friends. We had the Patara for 3 to start & ordered 3 other dishes so we could experience as much as possible. It was very good! 100% recommended.

Classic Thai cuisine using top quality ingredients. Some dishes are constructed using Western favourites such as lamb skewers served with pitta bread and Thai dipping sauces. Fish mains are superb. Top class restaurant.

Food excellent as usual but they were struggling with a lack of staff! They seemed to be training new staff but needed some better coordination!

Supposedly one of the best thai restaurants in London. It was very quiet when we went, but equally the room is massive so it would need huge numbers to feel busy. Food was very good though, and reasonably priced.

Food was excellent as always but the service could have been more attentive and sophisticated. We were placed on a hidden table squashed in the corner of the restaurant by the stairs when all the other tables were available. This has happened the last 3 times I have been and considering I visit frequently, it has slightly altered my experience of the restaurant. The restaurant is my favourite restaurant in London and I absolutely love the quality of the food here but was slightly disappointed by the service.

Patara had lovely food and lovely service. We were late but they saved our table with no fuss. What more do you want. Highly recommend.

lovely restaurant with very friendly staff and very attentive. Only one small point was that I wanted Thai spice level in food and requested but still came out as I would describe "British Thai" more spice req!

Usual excellent service. Food very tasty , not large portions but choose a selection. The Tai wines are good value. Prefer this branch to others I have visited.

My second visit to Patara (Soho) was as pleasurable as my first. Beautifully prepared food in attractive room (with kind acoustic and no music!!) and loveliest service imaginable. This is Thai food at its more elegant and can't wait to return.

Wonderful service, wonderful food, classy decor. The prices make it a special occasion restaurant for many people, but if you love Thai food, this is a restaurant that you need to experience.

Wonderful evening. Food and service were excellent. Started with tuna carpaccio and duck spring rolls followed by beef cooked in coconut milk and lamb shank - all excellent.

My boyfriend and I have been here a few times for special occasions and always are pleased with the great food and ambiance. I'm sure we'll be here again!

Nice food but not that authentic. The Pad thai was very bland and usually pad thai has nuts but this one just noodle. The satay also very bland. The service however was excellent!

I have just got back from working in Thailand and so was hoping for the same authentic welcome and quality of food - Patara did not disappoint. I would highly recommend the mango cheesecake - it was delicious. The service was very good too.

Been there yesterday evening.. Excellent ambience, food and service, although the price is a little on the higher side.. but love to go there again!

Food was superb!!! Even the prawn crackers were to die for. Staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Décor was minimalist, which I prefer and the ambiance was good.

Excellent Food ! Packed with lovely flavors. Great service and nothing was too much trouble to accommodate. Great atmosphere and the quality of the food was exceptional. Will definitely be returning again!
