Staff lovely food nice very noisy though wouldn't recommend for a group wanting quiet meal and chat ! Looked better if you could eat outside weather permitting

Warm, friendly, welcoming. Our waitress sat down with us while she took our order and had a bit of a chat, such a nice atmosphere. Tapas food and run by who used to have the old (i. e. when it was legendary) Everyman Bistro which is sadly now a soulless shell of it's former self. Highly recommended.

Ideal for a light lunch as portions are a little small but a lovely place to relax and eat and great service. Will definitely be revisiting.

Says small plates on the menu but you'll be fed very well in this establishment. Lots to choose from from behind the bar too and the staff are quick and efficient.

If you liked the Everyman Bistro and Keith's you'll love The Pen Factory. Fantastic wholesome food. Plates a little on the expensive side. But very delicious. 2 for £10 3 for £14 would be more appropriate. The boards were excellent pricing I highly recommend them. Lovely people, ambiance and fitted out great.

Lively vibrant place with nice variations on classic dishes . But service suffers a little when busy . Some nice craft beers to sample brewed from around liverpool.

The atmosphere is good - plenty of space, tables not too close together,no loud music, decent bar, interesting menu, quick service and overall - very relaxed. Older bohemian type crowd rather than kids. Fine for a quick drink or supper, or as meeting place as parking good nearby and easy to find.

Brilliant atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic staff. Lovely to find a place that doesn't rush you out the door. Being able take your time over meals whilst enjoying a drink with friends is a delight, all six of us had a lovely evening. Thank you so much.

Some of the portions were small - some very big! So you might not know how much you need to order but the food was very nice. Catered to a party of 20 easily.

Very helpful staff especially as our booking was made on line and they couldn't find confirmation of it. They quickly found us a table. Food very good as well.

Booked a table for 7:30. Drinks arrived at 8:15. Told no longer serving food at 8:30 on a Saturday night. Left trying to salvage a night out which had been planned around eating there. Apologies didn't quite cut it.

The food and atmosphere were fab - the staff really attentive and looked after us really well. The only improvement I would suggest is that the labelling for veggie, vegan and gluten free options on the menu could be a bit more consistent - a few things that we could see no reason they wouldn't be vegan (so also lactose free) or veggie weren't labelled as such which caused a bit of confusion when ordering (though our waitress was very helpful). Overall a great evening, and everyone left well-fed - thank you!

Food was excellent and service was great once we were seated. Only negative was us standing around for a long time waiting to be seated. We even got the attention of one of the staff members and told them about the reservation, only to watch them continue wandering around looking for glasses to pick up without telling any other staff.

Wonderful as ever. Lovely staff, great food and service. And all on an early and unusually quiet Saturday evening pre-theatre. So I keep thinking we were going 'upstairs' after we'd eaten. Can't get the old Bistro out of my head - but since Paddy and the team have moved this is better than ever.

Food as ever very good. Service excellent. Beer excellent. Atmosphere excellent. Only slight criticism is that when it's busy it is very noisy - could do with some noise cancelling.

Food was very good and very good value for money, as were the glasses of wine we had. Servers were quick and very sweet, but run off their feet. Good ambience, if a trifle loud.

Great food. We got veggie platter, Spanish chip butty and Southport shrimp. All amazing. Good value for money. It's a bit noisy for those that done like a noisy restaurant. Not really sure the live music really goes with trying to eat, would be better to start later on.

Really enjoyed our first visit and had a beautiful bottle ( or two ) of a lovely red Australian Shiraz wine. Great location for a pre theatre meal right next to the Everyman.

Table for 6 on Saturday night fantastic food and marvellous beer. Reminiscent of the old Everyman bistro and every bit as good. Atmosphere was just right with plenty going on. Service was great and added to a very pleasant chilled night out. Will be returning as soon as possible.

Awful service- staff couldn't care less. Didn't come and see if we wanted more drinks or more food and when we finally found a staff member to ask for more dishes she said the kitchen was closed at 9pm and walked off! Would have been nice to tell us the kitchen shuts at 9pm given we only booked for 8:30! Thanks for a very non special 40th celebration! Food we had was ok though things had ran out or missing and we had to ask for olives etc which should have come with our tapas board. No staff and the ones they had couldn't have cared less! Was recommended to is but would never return.

Service really good, coping with a large group of people cannot be easy. Food was lovely and we all had a good time. Only thing would be that it would be good if there were sufficient pudding for everybody to want to order.
