We went here for the first time last night to celebrate a friends birthday. We ordered poppadoms for four people and received a basket containing 6 quarters of poppadoms between us. The starter platter we had was great. The main courses were mediocre. The welcome and service was not good. Not one member of staff said goodbye as we left. We had just spent £200 there. I don't think we'll be going there again in a hurry. I had made the booking and I felt bad for our friends that it was not a good experience for such a lot of money.
Excellent food. Very tasty. Good atmosphere and very pleasant staff who were very attentively Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to eat a curry in Birmingham. Great location too and we will be going back.
very attentive staff, without being pushy - much appreciated. Delicious Indian food - dhal to die for! Would have liked one more gulab jamun for my dessert, but maybe two was better for my waistline
The food is absolutely delicious and the restaurant surroundings are elegant and comfortable. Service was super speedy too. Can't wait to return!! Would recommend Pushkar to anyone.
Great food, great service. Perfect as usual. I go to Pushkars as often as I can. Best Indian food in England! It's nice to get a warm greeting as well.
Food not quite as good as previous visit but staff up to their usual high standards. Setting is beautiful and attention to detail just right.
The food and service was very good. We had dinner on Christas Eve (25th). We came over from the Netherlands for a brief stay for Christmas. We made a reservation for 7 :00 pm. We didn't know that the restaurant was open untill 9:00. So we had to hurry up. That was a pity, because we had the feeling that we had to rush and you don't want to have that feeling when your dining. Especially when your out for a brief vacation.
Although the restaurant was reasonably busy it took a long tome me for them to come and take our meal order and we had to tell then we were ready to order otherwise it would have been a top score.
The service at the restaurant was outstanding. The food was delicious and there was a great choice of traditional and more modern interpretations of classic dishes. Would definitely recommend.
The food was amazing - it took an hour before we got the mains but we weren't in a rush so didn't mind as much
Great food, good service. Took a client to lunch, location was good, parking just five minutes walk away. Traditional Indian food dine exceptionally well. You won't be disappointed.
My wife and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Pushkar which we had previously visited. This was a new experience for our children who all enjoyed the lovely food and great service.
Although lunch time went off the main menu which was interesting and varied. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Price was reasonable considering location and standard of the restaurant.
It was a really good meal and service was excellent. good value for money and friendly staff. If you come to Birmingham I would recommend
The restaurant offers fantastic food and service. The staff are great and remembered us. Woul definitely recommend it to all our friends. Will go back very soon.
Looked on Internet for fine Indian dining in city of Birmingham. Let me say that they were not wrong. This was the best Indian food I have tasted, My wife had a Dildar Salmon and I went Chicken Jalfrazi both were sublime the spice and the presentation were perfect. The service was excellent very helpful with the menu and suggestions for accompaniments. Pushkar will be our go too destination for next visit to Birmingham
Excellent establishment , fantastic food, , exceptional service where our waiter for the night sadiq can remember all the drinks and food we ordered without a notebook or tablet .Sadiq also explained what was in the dishes and what to expect in terms of spice .It is expensive compared to other establishments in this range of food but it was worth it and we wouldn't hestitate to go back
We have been coming to Pushkar for years and love the decor and ambience. Waiter was very polite and happily took photos of us. Food was brought to us quickly and was delicious. Prices are on par for the level.
Friendly and good service. Quality food with plenty of choice and the cocktail menu is also extensive. Highly recommended. Booked table online which was simple.
I've been a patron of Pushkar's for absolute years and always return, as it's one of my favourite restaurants. Great staff and great food always.
Friendly service and great food in a modern environment. Nice touch with the b'day card and cake ... at no notice. Will definitely come back.
Great great food, great service attentive but not interfering (thanks Nawshad). Lovely drinks. Would recommend for any good food lover! We went on a Sunday night and it was lovely and quiet.
Amazing food and amazing service. Came in with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary and it felt so special. Thank you to everyone that went to the extra mile to make it special for us. Its the smaller things that make a big impact. We've been to many restaurants and i can definitely say this is one of the best places I've been too. Everyone needs to goo! Im in the hospitality industry myself, so i know how tough it can be but Azad (our waiter) was amazing. We had fun and we'll definitely be back xx
Beautiful dining room, very busy on the night we visited but the staff were attentive and very friendly. Our meal and cocktails were amazing and I would recommend a visit to anyone coming to Birmingham. Definitely book a table in advance however.
Food and cocktails were delicious but the restaurant was overly busy and the food took a long time to come and service was generally slow.
Décor, cleanliness, and service: good. Food: OK. Just OK; nothing special. Cost: excessive. I won't be returning. Plus, the street the restaurant is in was full of the most appalling people.
Lovely food all beautifully presented. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. I always go when visisting Birmingham. Well worth a visit - you will not be disoppointed.
Amazing food and service! Delicious tandoori king prawns. Cocktail list fantastic too. Would highly recommend a visit if in Birmingham. Its one of the best!
Great food - tasty and delicious - with generous portions - and the most perfect atmosphere - loved it. Would certainly recommend and will be back myself.
Overall good meal - tasty mixed starter and appetising desserts. Punjabi Lamb was a little tough (although this was unusual as has been tender on previous visits) and chai too milky for our tastes. Service impeccable with perfect mix of care and attention and efficiency.
Service and food excellent as usual. Glad we had booked as it was very busy. Good to see our favourites were still on the menu. A must for a visit to Birmingham.
Absolutely fabulous food with brilliant service. From the minute we arrived to the time we left very well looked after. For us all the food was exceptional. Would certainly go back.
I enjoyed good foods, wine and services. Atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool. I recommend this Modern Indian restaurant if you want to eat good Indian food .
Had a lovely evening here. The food was good, ambience was good, bar area a bit small but that did not take from our enjoyment of the evening. The service could have been a bit quicker but the restaurant was fully booked. We will definitely go again.
Lovely curry at Pushkar this NYE. We ordered 4 different curries this year and shared them. I highly recommend the Qasoori Methi Murgh. Unfortunately one of the waitresses dropped a drink over my friend but the service charge was removed from the bill, we received a free cocktail and they were all extremely apologetic. Overall it was a lovely evening.
Good food, pleasant staff, definitely go again, food and menu interesting , well presented and tasty . ~Didnt notice the price but wasn't paying attention.
The staff were extremely attentive and made my elderly parents feel very comfortable and at ease, which very important for us. The food was delicious and I'd recommend booking pushkar for Christmas dinner to make the day hassle free and relaxing allowing everyone to enjoy themselves.
Good Service but bad taste food. Will not visit again. Will not recommend if you are looking for good place to eat. This place is good to have few drinks & snack with friends .
Excellent ambience excellent smiling staff good food relaxed place to eat Excellent authentic food perfect timing to have starter mains and dessert. Just loved it
Over priced and low quality. Not happy with the taste, the way the dish is cooked. Vegetables are half cooked. There is no standard in the Bread. Terrible experience.
It's either slightly over priced or slightly average... Food was nice... their premium beer (peroni) had floating bits in it; they suggested it was "the barell" however being someone that's pulled hundreds of pints and grew up behind a bar I'd say it was the dirty pipes.
Very welcoming. Excellent service. Excellent food, manageable servings so no waste. Good experience all round. I would definitely recommend this for a good evening out.
We've dined at pushkar about 6 times & the food is first class & we would recommend it everytime. The cocktail are a must to try & we will definitely coming again from Stoke on Trent to dine there
It was a wonderful evening, the food was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Service was spot on, would highly recommend.
An excellent, well appointed Indian restaurant. I had one of the best chicken kormas I had ever tasted with lovely saffron rice and Peshawari Naan. Service was also excellent with very polite, attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
This is the highest class Indian restaurant we have experienced! The service was personal and professional with some lovely complimentary gestures for my wife's birthday. The food was utterly superb - well worth paying for. I would fully recommend a visit!
Very busy, placed on a table too small for five diners. Was not a comfortable experience at all. Food was OK if not average, could get similar in other establishments.
Delicious food and good cocktails. Friendly staff took care of our table and we were never kept waiting too long. Would of been good if they had table top food warmers. Definitely would visit again
We really enjoyed our meals but were surprised that the waiter brought one less rice out than we had ordered. He said this was because we had ordered too much rice. It was wrong of him to be so presumptuous. We also thought it was strange that the wait staff would keep re-folding the napkins when one of our party went to the toilet.
Lovely appearance inside and out. However I don't feel that the food is as amazing as it is made out to be. They don't have any classic Indian dishes, with both starters or mains. I had a crunchy bit of chicken which put me off the rest of my food. The naans were brought out on one plate and we weren't told which was which or who's was who's. Pilau rice, even tho it looked different, tasted the same as the steamed rice. The cocktails however were amazing. Ok for a one off experience. Wouldn't go again.
