Food and service was great. My only complaint was that the restaurant was a little cold. 4 degrees outside and we were in a table by a window. The radiator behind us went off during the meal and by the time we left we were all feeling the cold. Should perhaps think about closing the window blinds and / or curtains to insulate. This won’t put us off - we’ll be back.

Everything was absolutely as I've come to expect from the towns best restaurant. The service and quality of food was top class.

Food was ok, not the best. Had chicken mandarin, and felt the chicken tasted funny and wasn't so warm. Bit pricey considering the food isn't the best.

I had booked my table for 7:30 but when I arrived at 7:30 I was told to sit in the bar with no one taking my name or offering me either a drink or a menu. A very poor first impression. At 7:55 I bypassed the older lady on reception who had her hands full trying to cope with take away orders & went straight into the dining room to find someone in charge. I was seated within 5 minutes. I was served fairly quickly once in the restaurant & was happy with my meal. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant was filled with disgruntled customers complaining about slow service. I would think twice about returning on a Saturday

Was great although I was y a fan of the oyster sauce on the special chow main the lady changed it straight away for me and was lovely food was great and the restaurant was lovely we all really enjoyed our selfs will be back again

Food was excellent, however waiting time was poor. Had booked a table for 19:00, eventually got shown to table at 19:35 (after complaining) and then it took more than 2 hours for 2 courses. We were given complimentary drinks as acknowledgement of our waiting. Would maybe think twice about booking again for a Saturday evening.

Second time we have had to wait for our table, this time the wait was 40 mins it may have been longer if I hadn't harassed them about the waiting time, we also had to wait 30 mins between starter and main course though the food is good

Introduced new friends to previously enjoyed restaurant. Waited far too long for table. Food order mixed up. Cold on arrival. Sorry, lost customers. Maybe took on too many bookings with not enough staff to cater?

Yet another lovely meal at Richmond. It never fails to impress.

Our only complaint is the same as previous visits. Food is excellent and the service is fine but the dinner plates are brought to the table when warm but had cooled by the time the food arrived. Would have been good if the food had been kept warm too.
