We had the metre long pizza it was delicious! Staff were lovely and the secret garden was so nice on a sunny day. Definitely recommend this place.

Great service, very accommodating to a group of mums with babies and buggies!!! The food was yummy and came pretty quickly. Always a lunchtime favourite!

Had such a fun evening here. Great atmosphere with fun music. And the food was absolutely delicious. Best sticky toffee pudding I have ever had! I will definitely be back!

A lovely restaurant that is upstaged by the noise generated by the pub bar which is adjacent to the restaurant. Having requested a table in the corner as we had a member of our table who was deaf. My request (made the week before) was not met. The food is good quality and the service is friendly and swift.

Lovely venue, good food and great staff, but they had run out of over 50% of options on the menu so they lose a couple of stars for that this time!

Excellent service and food. Easy to find, good location. Good wine list with a number of good wines from all over the world. Good garden too.

We always enjoy the Avalon. The ambiance is great, the food and wine is delish, good service, dogs allowed. The garden in summer is absolutely amazing.

The food was very average and a very long wait for service. The Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding was OK but my dining partner said the Nut Roast was covered in a sauce that didn't really go with the vegetables and the meal was served tepid. A shame as this venue is usually excellent. Maybe too many bookings for Easter Sunday that stretched the resources too far.

The staff were very friendly, the food was great and at a very reasonable price too! I will definitely be going back again very soon!

Poor customer service - not busy but so slow at taking order, delay in actually in-putting order, delay of about 20 minutes in telling us that the bottle of wine we ordered wasn't actually available (!), slow in delivering food to table, slow at clearing plates away, took several times of asking for dessert menu to actually get them delivered! Bill delivered with incorrect wine on it. Overall, very poor service. However, food was pretty good.

Good atmosphere, great wine and very good food overall. The pizza was a bit dry and needed more tomato sauce. Service was good and quick.

Had a really good roast dinner. Very busy so booking is definitely needed. Reasonable prices also as most places in London are over £17/ £18

Beautiful place, lovely staff, tasty food (belly prk followed by apple n blackberry crumble - comfort food or what?) - and large portions to boot. No wonder this is such a popular local haunt.

Such a nice pub. Really friendly staff who are very accommodating and really want you to relax and enjoy oneself. Delicious pizzas and a good selection of reasonably priced wines.

Great food, as always. The steaks are still the best in London. However, (on a Saturday night) the music was too loud - almost Ibiza in Clapham - for a nice dining experience.

I came here to catch up with two friends I don't see nearly often enough. The table service was good, our pasta and sea green was delicious and very relaxed atmosphere. I would really recommend the Avalon dining experience 😊

Busy Saturday post rugby, but managed to book a table last minute with friendly staff and good service and great food. Will be coming back again

Food was awesome. Service wasn't so hot so took one star away. The decor was beautiful was beautiful and our cocktails were great too. Good time and good food.

This is not the first time i have visited The Avalon, service and food have been consistently good. Lovely outdoor gardens and great drink selection.

Nice atmosphere and surroundings, the food was really good and a very large portioned Sunday roast! Pleasant and friendly staff, would definitely go there again.

Amazing food, service staff were very good. Only issue was I went for dinner at 6pm and they had run out of a few dishes I would have normally gone for, but the dishes I did go for were top notch!

All in all I would say my experience was good, but not great. There was a large party next to us which meant the service was below par and also two of the choices our table made weren't available and we only found out after ordering, the waiter should have known. Also the time between starter and main was longer than I would have wanted.

The service was good; attentive but not too much so and my boyfriend turned up 30 mins late but they didn't draw too much attention to it which was appreciated! I had smoked haddock and it was incredibly smokey, I'd say over smoked, but it was still nice. Camembert for starters was good too.

Good food, especially the Sunday Roast. Service was ok, considering how busy it was, great ambient. I would recommend it.

Food was excellent. Service was slow at the start, it took ages to be served (even just for wine). Too much spillover from the bar, we tried to have a nice quiet romantic dinner but there were rowdy groups of individuals nearby and we had to shout at each other to make conversation. It would have been good if they closed this off a bit from the bar

This was not the first time we have visited The Avalon because it consistently serves good quality pub grub with fantastic service. The drinks selection is pretty awesome too, especially the house Malbec.

Good food, reasonable price, prompt and attentive service - not too intrusive, nice atmosphere. Enjoyed The Avalon. Wish you could pick seats, but overall very nice evening.

Great food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. And super dog friendly too! We had 4 x Sunday roasts and deserts and everyone's food was delicious.

Lovely waiter who answered all our questions and was very friendly. Great speedy and considerate service e.g. unlimited water refills without asking, always checking that we had all we needed. Delicious food, slightly large portions but all very satisfied with each of our three courses! Lovely decor inside too.

Good food but slow service and had to ask multiple times for certain things. Menus not brought straight away, waiters did not communicate with each other.

The meal was very enjoyable. The steaks were especially good though the peppercorn sauce was unusual. The staff were very friendly and they fussed over our dog who had a fabulous time and a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is positive. We really enjoy the Avelon and the fact that we can take our fur-baby out for dinner with us. Sometimes it's hard to find something you like on the menu. The food can get a bit pretentious.

As per usual, great food, great wine and excellent service. Can't fault the Avalon always excellent!

Friendly service, although they were a bit busy so service and food was a bit slow. We enjoyed 50% off our meal with a voucher, though to be honest not sure i'd have liked to have paid full price; Steak was cooked well but tasted just ok and fries were cold. nice brownie pudding

Awful service, but nice food. We were at the restaurant for an hour and a half and had only received our starters. When we went to order our food we were only then told that many of the food options were not available which we should have been told when we sat down. Would recommend for the food, but only if you want to wait a long time!!

Food was very nice. Staff were friendly and relaxed. Huge garden with ample seating on a lovely summer day. Some areas have heating so you can sit out in colder days.

Excellent service, great ambiance and lovely booze. Food was OK, but not superb, and would have been pricey if it weren't for a 50% voucher we had.

Had a fabulous Christmas Dinner at The Avalon. The staff were very attentive and efficient! Would have been a 6 but for the table being wedged on a corner. ;)

Service was absolutely brilliant, really friendly and helpful staff. Food pretty good too and a really lovely surrounding sitting out in the beer garden on a lovely spring afternoon.

Very friendly staff and the roasts were huge. Good selection of deserts too. I'd reccomend the crumble. We really liked the atmosphere although it is a bit loud.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. Great ambience as lots of Xmas parties on coupled with the football and rugby. Food was very good, had s bit of a wait due to it being extremely budy. Staff coped well with the pressure. Definitely go there again.

Food was great but the service was awful. Waited for25 mins before I had to go over to a server to ask could they take our order. Had to ask for numerous things including cutlery and water. It was extremely busy as it was during Sunday lunch but if there hadve been adequate staff on there wouldn't have been any of these issues.

Usually really enjoy coming here however this time the barmaid was really rude and the food was average, very disappointed. The restaurant was also really cold.

Great service. Calamari was really nice. Chicken was a little salty but sides were perfect. Good wine selection. Lovely evening catching up with a friend.

The place is nice and cosy. Saturday lunch with friends, not too noisy. Service very nice and food is really great and really big portions. Will come back for sure!
