The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but soon filled up. The menu was very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of food we were served. The personnel were friendly and chatty and overall this was a great lunch experience. We'll be back!

Had an amazing evening. We booked for 8 but didn’t get seated till 8.30 . Had a complimentary glass of fizz and the food was really really good . Staff were brilliant and atmosphere was perfect . Great night all round .

An excellent family run Italian restaurant on Glasgows south side. Set in an old and quirky former tram rest building . Battlefield Rest offers quality Italian food at a reasonable cost and efficient friendly service.

First time there. We had a Pre Theatre meal. Very busy but good prompt service.

Never been disappointed when visiting , on occasion over last few years. Tables are close together but family atmosphere and staff do try to honour seating requests. Last visit lamb tagine could have been a little more tender. Will still be back!

Love the variety of food on offer at very reasonable prices. Possible to get small plates and sharing dishes so suits all types of appetite. Staff are friendly and efficient. Has the lovely, relaxed feel of a very good local restaurant.

Restaurant is lovely, service was excellent but pasta was a little cold and one member of our party was unwell overnight after eating but this may have had nothing to do with the food. Would not stop us going back.
