Food was delicious and value for money, but booked for 7.15 and had to wait 20 mins at the door as it was so busy for a table .

Fabulous meal and serviceable the Battlefield Rest. Great choice of menu options on the pre-theatre and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend to book early before you go!

Great food and excellent service combine in this traditional Italian restaraunt in Battlefield in Glasgow's south side. The atmosphere is welcoming and the decor inviting, especially the stunning painted ceiling! The pre-theatre menu is diverse and delicious. All the classic Italian dishes are done to perfection. Highly recommended.

I went with friends for dinner. The food was very good and so was the service. I’m looking forward to returning in the near future.

i’ve Been going to Battlefield Rest since it opened in 1994. Even though I’m no longer local, it will always be my 1st choice Italian restaurant. The quality of the food has been consistently good throughout the years and is the benchmark for all other Italian restaurant should I fall off the wagon and frequent another.

Not been here for quite some time but can honestly say that it’s still a fabulous place for eating, and the service was first class great to see it’s still a very popular restaurant

Faultless experience. Our table was booked to mark a sombre occasion and the staff were so caring about this. To top it all off, the choice and quality of food there is superb.

four of us had a lovely meal here. The service was excellent as was the food we had. Also, parking at night is no problem.

The service staff were very friendly and professional, and the food was excellent. I also loved the location in the old tram stop. I recommend it.

The Battlefield Rest is one of our favourite restaurants. The food is always excellent and the staff are very friendly and efficient. No wonder it has won so many awards!

The food was seriously good and the staff were friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend. Go on an empty stomach! The Haggis cannelloni was brilliant.

Had read only good things about the Battlefield Rest and went last night. Lovely venue that was full all night. The food was really tasty (Scottish platter and pasta dishes) and good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Once again great food at one of Glasgow's finest Italian restaurants. It's a great little quirky building and the waiting staff take good care of you.

First time I'd been in ages. Great menu and reasonable prices - would recommend. Worth skipping the pre theatre as far more choice on the Ala Carte.

What a beautiful building and so quaint inside. The food was gorgeous (minestrone soup, bruschetta, nettle pasta with asparagus and spaghetti meatballs) and staff nice. I will definitely go back.

Excellent food and comfortable surroundings, with good service. I would definitely go back. It is also very conveniently located with easy access via public transport, and options for car parking.

A fantastic night out with friends for a 40th birthday celebration. The restaurant staff were amazing from start to finish with some lovely touches throughout the night. Food was perfect - as always. Our first time there in ages and they still don't fail to disappoint!

The Battlefield Rest never disappoints. We went on a Monday night and it was full. The quality of the food and service is second to none.

Still one of the best Italians in Glasgow - We didn't want pasta so had the Chicken Cacciatore, really very tasty and had a bonus Italian Sausage in it - really good, and as always served in good time with good professional staff. Always a great place. Thoroughly recommended

Am a regular diner in this restaurant and it never disappoints- delicious food, great atmosphere and attentive, professional staff. Would recommend the lunch deal as it's excellent value.

We visited here as a family group one Saturday evening. Nice wee restaurant with a good atmosphere and very busy. For most of us the food was lovely however my son is gluten free & although they say gluten free pasta & pizza bases now available they are not really catering for gluten free. The choice was basically penne which came flooded in a Napoli sauce which looked like it was floating in tomato soup. For dessert his only choice was ice cream which he then couldn't eat as they'd stuck a wafer in the top. I don't think they have a clue about how serious cross contamination can be so unless they are properly trained & can cater for people who need to avoid gluten then I don't believe they should be staying that they can. Worth a visit as long as you don't have any food allergies I'd say

Great food, wide selection and good service overall but had to wait 30 minutes for our table which was disappointing as we’d booked 3 weeks ago.

Friendly service, food delicious we will definitely be back. Lunch was great value for money also. Nothing was a bother kids also loved it xx

Went for our wedding anniversary & we were not disappointed! The food was great & the service was fab! It was very busy for a Tuesday evening but we still received great service! Defo be back
