Battlefield Rest is always good. Amazing food, staff brilliant. Couldn’t fault it.

It was fabulous. We were so accommodated when we asked to chose from another menu. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The owner is fabulous as is the rest of the staff and the food is simply exquisite.

Food delicious as always, service excellent, atmosphere perfectly Italian & still hands down the best Tiramisu anywhere . Please don’t change, my favourite restaurant for over 20yrs.

Haven’t been to the Rest in a good few years..forgotten how good it really is! Food was fantastic, great varied menu with loads of mouthwatering dishes to choose from..and the wine list was equally as impressive!

This was a very good experience, the waiter was very patient with us and was able to guide us on the wine and his recommendation was perfect. The choice of food was fantastic and it tasted great as well.

A fairly regular customer. On this visit I felt that one of the waiters was a bit rude, had an attitude and had it been my first visit I would not go back.

I had a lovely lunch with my friend. we were aloud plenty of time to chat, with extra coffees. A fab relaxing time.

Perfect place. Went with venice section of our family. They loved it. And such a chilled atmosphere. We were all drinking and talking as we only meet up once or twice a year. Thanks. X

Fantastic food in a very inviting setting with excellent service

I think the food is excellent although the service is poor. The two male waiters are far from award winning. Waiting for service, for the order to be correct and generally not particularly interested. I ate here last year and actually the experience was the same. Haven’t rushed back from that experience and won’t rush back again. Sad as the food was very good and the location is ideal for me.

As usual a fantastic night. Great food, lovely, warm atmosphere, friendly and efficient service and very good value for money. My favourite restaurant by far on the Southside.

I was running late and they still kept the table for us. The service was amazing, they served the food really quick as we were going to the Scotland game after and we both had 2 courses within 30 mins. The food was awesome too! Highly recommend the battlefield rest 👍🏻

We managed to catch the pr-theatre last night and what we received was way more than enough that we had to grab a take-a-way bag for the road home. Great price. Outstanding food quality. Brilliant staff service. All making you feel like you were in Italy. Fatastico!
