The restaurant is an unexpected gem. Based on a former fast-food building, they serve a variety of food, from classic fish and chips to shell fish to classic fish cookery. We ate from a starter board containing a selectionfrom the main menu, including amazing tempura oysters, followed by monkfish with a pesto sauce. Beautifully cooked and presented with prompt efficient service. And it is accessible and easy to park, which is a real asset!

We had been wanting to try out the Crab and Lobster for a while. It did not disappoint. Friendly and informative staff. Choice on menu was fabulous. We had starters and mains (no room for dessert), food for us was amazing, monkfish and calamari starters, haddock and scampi mains with sides. All served with style. We will definitely be back.

Restaurant ambience is excellent. Food is good. Great selection of drinks too. Sadly the service fell off a cliff, starting excellent but ended up with us leaving having waited 15 mins for the dessert menu. Shame as it was really good up to that point but we ended up leaving disappointed.

Everything was fresh and delicious, staff were attentative but not overwhelming, just genuinely interested if you are ok and enjoying the food and service. Monkfish main and meringue desert were delicious.

Food was amazing, cocktails were very good, good choice of wine. The visit was lovely but tarnished by a female member of waiting staff who was rude and extremely sarcastic, took the shine off the experience.

We had a lovely meal though a little pricy, but would go back.

The food and staff were lovely! The service was just far too quick, within 5 minutes of sitting down we had been asked for our drink order and then someone came and asked for our food order. It’s nice to get your drinks and then order food. There was very little time between our starter and mains too, we were in and out in just over an hour!

Great to see a friendly face greet us, smart decor, comfortable banquette seating. Service was fast and effecient. Monkfish starter highly recommended! Fish and chips elevated!! Fantastic value for money, great having service charge included, as no need to worry about cash for tip. We will definitely be back.

Awesome selection to choose from- we went for the crab and lobster roll, and the special of the day monkfish, both served with truffle fries. We also had the side of pickled eggs. Every bite was absolutely delicious

My second visit (Oct) and I have to say consistency here is excellent. I had the mussels again which were fresh, plump and delicious. The chips were fluffy on the inside, very hot, crispy and perfectly seasoned. Unbelievably the waitress remembered me from my first visit back in July. My partner had a breaded haddock and chips which looked excellent quality, the flesh was beautifully cooked and whiter than white. Great energy and professionalism from the well trained team, we thoroughly enjoyed our supper and will return again. Many thanks and bravo 🙌

Service was fantastic, food was delicious, my only slight gripe was the cost. I recognise seafood isn’t cheap but £16 for a plate with just two lonely scallops is a bit much. Also the wine was pricey. Otherwise we enjoyed the dining experience and would recommend!

Great food and great service. The staff couldn’t do enough to make it memorable.

Great for, huge portions and the best fish. However staff looked grumpy and gave not one opportunity to even ask for the bill before the bill was plonked on our table with a "Need anything else? No. We need the table back". Shame really.

First time here and the selection of food on the menu was really good and good value. I brought a birthday cake for my mum's 89th and they were happy to put in their fridge and for us to eat on their premises which is good. Definitely would go back and recommend this restaurant.
