Food was good quality with generous helpings of meat and vegetables and delicious desserts. Waiting staff were polite and helpful but were perhaps a little tired; we had a meal early evening after they had been working since lunch time. Several different people served us so we had to ask repeatedly for water and there was some confusion with the billing at the end. We would definitely return though!

Good service and good food. Friendly staff. Sunday roast was excellent. Monk fish was a little underdone for my liking. Atmosphere was ok and overall very clean.

Food was great but should have sat in restaurant instead of bar as the bar was too busy and too doggy! Very busy evening as ever

Food was at its usual high standard. Pleasantly surprised to be served battered cod and chips when the g/f menu stated baked cod but very happy that this is now another option for me

Booked a table online today for the lunch menu and food was excellent. We had the scallops to start which were delicious and cock au van for the main and couldn’t fault it. Lovely to see it was a dog friendly pub. Lady behind the bar was really welcoming and greeted us with a beautiful smile even though she was really busy. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Would recommend it.

Really, really disappointed! We have had many a good meal there, and actually even last night the food was good, however the meal was totally ruined as there was so many flies around the tables (we tried two tables to get away from them). The worst thing was that they never really attempted to do anything to get rid of them, apart from putting a few candles out! Not a good evening meal......

Service from the staff was great, only downfall was that we paid nearly £14 each for a roast which turned out to be an average meal that shouldn’t have cost us any more than £10.

As usual- excellent food and drink. The chicken shawarma was gorgeous- I thoroughly recommend it. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed by the service. We felt forgotten and ignored. We were left with empty glasses and were desperate to order more drinks and desserts. The prolonged wait made us decide to call it a night and head home earlier than expected. It was a special night for us (wedding anniversary) and we were left wanting. The service here is usually excellent.

Very pleasant service from the staff, all well presented. Nicely presented menu with yummy sounding choices - really want to have the Madeiran Espetada next time. The steaks we both had were good, tasty and filling. A very minor feedback is to move the wording of the menu saying what a Steak is accompanied by from the bottom of the page to immediately beneath the steaks and before the 'extras' like the scrummy Shropshire Blue topper please. If anyone wants to read that as a complaint, you are very much mistaken.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, even the drinks were brought to the table. Portions were a little on the small size but as a cheaper lunch menu, not bad. Recommended for a very nice meal.

Fantastic evening, organised and stressless! Starter and main was beautiful and tasted amazing, never fail. Catered for a party of 11 that was last minute so didn’t preorder and succeeded without a delay.

Excellent food and good service. Steaks were slightly overdone (medium was well done and well done was really well done) but other than that very nice place to eat. Intending going back next week.

Lovely staff & great omlettes. I also love that they do not cram the dinning tables in, which gives both space & privacy. Dog friendly too which is fab!

Great 'summer addition' of a range of 'salads' on top of their usual excellent menu - but, beware the portion size is huge! Do not be afraid to ask for a 'doggy bag'
