The Kings Head

We were a party of 8 celebrating both my 50th and my daughter's 18th birthday. A very pleasant evening was had by all. The food was amazing, the service excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. Thank you to the staff for looking after us - even the surprise icecream scoop with a chocolate happy birthday and a candle for both of us :-).

The pub offered great food and lovely staff, explains why super busy on a Thursday eve! will definitely be revisiting and recommending. it is highly recommended.

We have visited a few times in the past and enjoyed it immensely. Our last visit was a bit of a disappointment, the food was fine but found the prices excessive compared to other restaurants we visit.

As always the food was excellent and the service very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our minute steaks, salad and chips. A great lunch enjoyed by my friend and I.

Service was a bit slow, we waited quite a long time for drinks, but the food was brilliant, apart from the roast potatoes which were very salty.

Excellent meal, lovely friendly helpful service and although quite pricey, worth every penny. Highly recommend. Have been several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent food, however the service was very slow due to being understaffed. We had to request dessert menu and request to order desserts. Sadly this let the experience down.

We had a lovely evening here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. I hadn't realised that, in addition to their normal menu, it was a specialist burger evening. We all decided to select from the burger list including our daughter who is vegetarian. She now lives in America and she loved her "veggy" selection. This is the third time we have eaten here and every time has been a great experience.

So pleased that you brought back the Salmon and Crayfish Cocktail. We missed the horseradish ice cream, but it is sooooo much better than the salmon mousse starter.

Excellent crispy salmon wrap. Onion rings were amazing- especially dipped in peppercorn sauce!

Brilliant- as usual. Will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Food was amazing as it always is. The staff are all so friendly and I cannot fault them. I took my wife here for her birthday and she loved it 😁

The food was lovelyBut they were obviously shortstaffed so the wait for drinks was quite a long time. I had to go and ask for the menus. However the staff that were there working really hard and it certainly wouldn’t put me off going again

Excellent friendly service with cracking food. Try the salmon wrap! Totally delicious all round with our meals. Beautiful location there in Napton on the hill

Welcome was very good, service was very good, food was very good and the departure was very good. What more can you ask. 8 of us eating had 7 different main courses all brought to the table hot, at the same time and clearly freshly cooked.

My favourite go to pub. Excellent service, fantastic food, very friendly staff. The staff are always friendly and welcoming even when the Kings Head is really busy.

Amazing place we absolutely love it here and plan to return regularly.

We visited on Sunday evening often not a good time to try a new venue but the food and service was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Sunday lunch at the Kings Head tres magnifique as always!!! Have visited here quite a few times and never disappoints. The meal is as near to a home cooked meal as you can get without the disadvantage of the washing up. Best Sunday Lunch in the area for miles around and we make a round trip of sixty miles so I think that says a lot. Keep up the good work and please.........don't lose that Chef!!!

Lovely meal, service good, had steak & sea bass, both well cooked, would have preferred my sea bass a little crispier, but overall meal good value.

Lovely evening as were able to sit outside in the sun. Service ok. Prosecco overpriced at £22.50 a bottle and had to wait a bit of a while for it. Food was good - monkfish and king prawn espetada was lovely and came at just the right time.

Lovely meal. Took my 6 month old daughter. The staff were great and even provided baby cutlery for her. Absolutely brilliant and so friendly. Food was beautiful. The blade of beef was cooked to perfection.

Even though the pub was incredibly busy due to a large party, the staff were very attentive and professional. Lovely food with a lovely atmosphere.

Had a family meal out for Father’s Day. Roast dinners were lovely, meat and vegetables were perfectly cooked. Fantastic meal and service as always. The James family x

We were greeted by a very friendly, barman who suggested a lovely gin and then we had a delicious dinner. the staff were all fantastic.

Excellent food and service though a very noisy party near us. staff very friendly and efficient. The bread to start is delicious, could have had more instead of the meal, but that would have been greedy.

Popular pub/restaurant in village location. You will need to book. Large menu, so something for everyone. Food is freshly cooked; so be patient. It is worth the wait.

We chose this place as a half-way meet for a meal with some friends of ours. The menu selection was very varied, and I can highly recommend the Espetada with it's stunning presentation and taste. All meals were nicely prepared, we received excellent service. By the way, the Kings Head also has a good selection of real (aka Craft) ales and a dedicated gin menu. Two courses approx £20.00 pp. We shall certainly be visiting again!

We have been many times. Always superb food and the staff are lovely. We are having a party there for 50......do I need to say more?

Great food, great portions and great staff. Not the cheapest around but your paying for quality and it’s well worth it. I would highly recommend.
