Great food especially the crispy duck pancakes. Wonderful atmosphere and staff are great. We have been many times and are never disappointed. Highly recommended. Top service.

Very nice meal with friends for a birthday treat. The food is always good, with decent portions, and the service is attentive. We would have liked food warmers to keep our meal hot, though.

Excellent food, ambience, value and service. One constructive criticism. The staff need to be allocated tables to serve. We were attended constantly by each member of staff, one after the other, and felt a little rushed.

Wonderfull experience. The staff are very friendly and attentive - at times a little too much to the point where it became a little irritating, but not enough to be a problem.

Good food but not particularly friendly staff - also some tables had white tablecloths but not our table. They also used a very dirty looking rag to clean the table at my request and we we then felt we could not place the cutlery back on the table. But excellent food.

Starters were terrible might have been better if they were freshly cooked. Portion size on the set menu are not good with very little meat.

We always book the Mandarin when we visit Bournemouth as the food is always excellent We went on Sunday 11th June, and again on the Monday. The staff on the Monday were very pleasant and polite. The lady who served us n the Monday was rather austere &made us feel rather uncomfortable, the food however never fails or lets us down.

Restaurant has great ambience, great food, always good service, cheerful,friendly team. When ever we visit Bournemouth (holidays) ,we always book an evening here, so what else could I say !!

Lovely restaurant highly recommend it. The service was good and the food superb. The duck and pancakes were delicious and after we shared a spicy chicken with a rice and a spicy noodle all ample portions.

Really tasty food in a nice environment. Staff were very polite and helpful. Desert was a little long in arriving, but we enjoyed our meal.

Didn't know what to expect when booking on line, although Trip Advisor rated it no. 1 in Bournemouth, so was a bit apprehensive as it was my wife's and my anniversary meal. All I can say is 'WOW' A lovely atmosphere and décor to match. The service was quick, the staff very polite and the food was fantastic and well presented. Unfortunately I won't be able to go very often as I'm from Peterborough but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality meal out. 10/10

Staff very friendly little dated. But ok for overnight .seems to be a place for stag nights on Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to breakfast

the food was amazing, especially the sizzling lamb! We had a set feast and made a few changes hassle free. Staff were extremely attentive, professional and polite. Best Chinese In Dorset by far.

Yummy food but poor service. Shame because we've eaten there a number of times before without complaint. This evening we were told point blank that we could not combine starters with main meals, as there was not enough space at the table, despite the fact that not everyone at the table was ordering starters and some were opting to have starters as mains... meant for a disjointed meal as some at the table were eating while others waited. Also seemed that most of the staff were new, as they seemed unsure on what to do and could not answer questions about the menu. One question was simply answered with "I don't know, I'm new" and no offer to find out or to ask someone else! Expected more, as previous visits have been better than tonight.

Very welcoming on arrival and processed the booking efficiently. Wide selection of dishes which were well presented and delivered promptly. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

It took a long time before our drinks/meal order was taken and then the 3dishes were served so far apart that I had to state that we wanted to eat our single course meal together! The 3 lagers we ordered came as pints - we weren't asked what size we wanted. When I paid the bill I asked for service to be added to my Credit Card total - it wasn't, so I left a pile of cash in the middle of the table. They did seem a bit understaffed!

Excellent food, good service, romantic, a perfect evening. Parking a bit of a problem. Deserts a little disappointing but quality and quantity of main meal meant that a desert wasn't really required.

We visited the Mandarin on a Saturday evening and our booking was for 6:15pm. There were 3 of us in our party - my partner, her 12 year old daughter and myself. The staff were friendly when taking the order and accommodating to our questions regarding the menu. Starters (Dim Sum) were very tasty as was the Crispy Duck middle course. The main courses were a different story, though the food was fine. We were eventually delivered one of our mains and all three of our sides after a lengthy wait. We then had to wait for 15 minutes for the next two mains to arrive, only after two requests to the waiting staff to find out where the remainder of our main courses had got to. We also had to ask twice for more drinks as the original request was not acted upon by the waiting staff. Overall the food was good, though expensive for what it was, with the exception being the Banana Fritters which were cold and greasy. The waiting staff appeared to be frantically running around trying their best but our dining experience on this evening left a lot to be desired.

Absolutely superb, first class service and the food is great - best Chinese in Bournemouth - great value for money - would highly recommend- will be back.

A pleasant Chinese lunch, good service with good food. We booked on-line and were expected, seated straight away and the staff were sufficiently attentive. Would recommend.

We were a group of six , and we had an excellent time .food was very good we had the house wine which was very nice and we're given very good service . Will definitely go again.
