The Ruddington Arms

The second visit this time for Sunday Lunch, once again we found great food, great service, and great staff. Will visit again as the value is great also.

Booked a table (2 weeks in advance) for 8.30 but when we arrived no tables available until 9pm. Then given a sloping/rocking table for two by the toilets that was lower than the chairs we sat at. After asking to move we finally ordered food at 9.30. Steak was a bit tough with no sign of a steak knife. The chef obviously thought you don’t need one but you did for my £20 ribeye.

Another visit to Ruddy Arms, another pleasant evening. We did have a 'hiccup' which was dealt with promptly & professionally, & after that everyone's food, for all 3 courses was just superb. Service was slick & attentive too. We'll be back again for sure. Thanks RA!

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, we had a brilliant evening. There were four of us and the place was buzzing, we felt relaxed and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Not the first time we have been and will definitely be going again. The food is really good. Congratulations to all who work there.

The Ruddington Arms never fails to impress. The menu is excellent, food is always outstanding, service spot on and the staff professional and friendly ☺️

The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My smoked haddock main course was absolutely beautiful and the duck starter was very tasty. Their chef is to be commended. It looks like a very well run establishment and we will certainly return.

Friendly helpful staff , lovely home cooked food at a good price. Clean and welcoming decor , definitely worth a visit, we will definitely be back.

I’ve eaten here many times now and it never disappoints. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food is always delicious, and even at a busy time on a Saturday evening, the food arrived quickly.

First visit and loved it. The roast beef and pork were both amazing, super choice for children and very friendly staff. Deserts were very tasty although after the very generous portions of the roast dinners we were perhaps over ambitious with the size of our stomachs!!

What a fabulous place! Great atmosphere. Lovely choice on the menu and the food tasted delicious. Also good service from everyone. Loved it and will be back.

Excellent food and good service. Recommend you give a go! Good choice of starters - scallops good. My main of belly pork excellent. The doughnuts were scrumptious!!

Had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch the Food and atmosphere were great as was the service. Was a little concerned when I booked as a member of our party was in a wheelchair and had read there were access issues but it was abosolutely fine.

Dinner was disappointing. Order the 4 person rib of beef. Meat was carved very thick, difficult to cut when eating, and was excessively fatty. Vegetables poor selection. Roasts ....... well not roasted. Whole meal was a disappointing.

Our first visit since moving to the area was a pleasant surprise. Food was excellent, and the service, quick and welcoming .We will certainly come again.

Lovely venue, on the edge of Ruddington, second time visiting and food has been spot on both times, would recommend to anyone to give it a try

Fantastic food and a 'well balanced' menu, with lots of interesting seasonal stuff but also a solid core of safe bankers. Service was good, friendly and efficient - though not quiet as attentive as I prefer (there was a couple of times I wanted more drinks or condiments and it was hard to flag anyone down). Only real disappointment was the 'crushed minty peas'... this is Nottingham not London, surly proper mushy peas are the only way to do it.

Good variety of food, at reasonable prices, in a nice comfortable and unspoiled environment, with good company, and excellent service - what mote could you want?!

The food and service at The Ruddington Arms is excellent. Would highly recommend. A regular venue for us, even though we do not live close by it is worth the effort. The baked Alaska is to die for.

Had lunch here. Staff as usual very attentive and helpful. Food as usual excellent abd great value for money. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

Good choice of menu and meals beautifully presented. Food excellent and lovely ambience. Staff all very attentive and service very efficient. We have been before both for lunch and evening meal. We'll definitely be returning and I'd certainly recommend it to others.

Been to The Ruddington Arms many times before. Again there was delicious food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Ruddington Arms never disappoints, will be back again!

We went for a Sunday Roast, sadly they’d sold out by the time we got there. However still Great food, good service. Seemed busy and slightly understaffed for a Sunday but still tasty!

Has really improved since our last visit. Now have extended seating areas outside. Food was really good and service was much better. Very good atmosphere in this friendly pub restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch.

Scallop starter was perfectly cooked. Tried one of the specials off the board.. Lovely Lamb dish. Excellent wine to accompany the meal. Good service Thanks

Well prepared tasty food, great venue, good responsive service and reasonable price. On site parking. Happy to recommend. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

My husband, I and 2 Australian friends came for lunch and all of us had a lovely meal. I am coeliac and the staff were really helpful. Really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Will certainly come back.

Nice table, welcomed by friendly but not intrusive staff. They overheard the table was wobbling and it was wedged without asking. We were asked 4 times if the food was ok and left to chat appropriately between courses and after meal. And food was very good.

Despite being very busy service was excellent. The food lived up to expectations & we look forward to a return visit very soon. Elaine & Jo

Furnishing, staff, food and drink all excellent. Pleased to recommend it without reservation, though one should probably make one before going. I suspect it gets busy!
