We had a great evening. Food was excellent and we got good advice from staff about meals and wine. We were made to feel really welcome and the atmosphere was really nice. Very relaxing. Thank you! Best wishes Karen x
Fantastic food and a great welcoming service from all the staff. All round good service as very easy to book online, a good ambience in the restaurant with current decor.
Great meal as always - first time for Sunday lunch. Good size portions. Friendly staff. Always accommodating. Only negative - venue was very busy and therefore very hot. Unfortunately no windows to open.
food was excellent. Starters were really great with some nice choices. service very friendly and proffesional. not the cheapest but worth the treat. .. .
Friendly service. Consistently nice food. Their idea of a quiet table not mine. We were it’s true set aside, but only because we were in front of the specials board, where we said hello to nice short sighted folk who visited, also en route for the loos. Next time request table for two in the corner!
A very enjoyable evening. Excellent servers, delicious food and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely come again. Lots more to try on the menu! Be back soon.
Arrived after the rush for Sunday lunch. Nice pint in the old worldly bar, followed by tasty well cooked food. Very quick service. Great value.
As usual absolutely fantastic. We had visited the evening before and saw there was a crab special so I asked them to hold one for me for the following day and they did and I was in seafood heaven....amazing food x
The food and service were outstanding and would certainly go there again. The dining room did seem a little in need of refurbishment and a few too many tables. However would recommend.
grumpy waitress when asked for more plates, no mint sauce for lamb dish, got wrong coffee after repeatedly asking for filter, on arrival we sat in pub area for a drink but after 15 mins had to ask for table to be cleared after family had left a mess.
Food excellent as always - some of the best food in the area comes out of this kitchen. But service was poor tonight. Food came before drinks. Wrong drinks came. Wrong size glasses of wine. Water not topped up. Not enough attention and the restaurant was quiet so no excuses that they were busy I’m afraid.
Daughters 15th birthday visit - staff very friendly, the outside terrace was so pretty and they have just added a sun deck which looks amazing. Food was outstanding, as always. We had the RFC, Club Sandwich and Steak Sandwich - all enjoyed immensely. Our favourite place to go.
Sunday lunch, the beef as lovely as ever. Could do with changing the veggies now and again but still an excellent meal
The food tasted great and it was very well presented. It looked great had a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Staff were attentive but not on top of you. One waiter in particular was very help full a member of our party had a food allergy he did everything to make sure she got the food she wanted. Overall great value for money.
Gorgeous meal as always, a top-class Gastro-pub! A great out of town find with fabulous food and wine options, service is impeccable. Will be back!

Love it here, great service and amazing food, the menu is wide enough to satify the most fussy of eaters and we have been back on many occasions and never get bored
The service and food at the Ruddington Arms is always very good. No complaints as usual. Enjoyed the food, which was at a very high standard.
Came after a recommendation from a friend. Nice food and atmosphere. We sat outside as it was quite hot in the restaurant and it was lovely. Only downfall was my other half’s steak was slightly overdone for what he asked but was still delicious. Would definitely visit again.
Great as always. Food fantastic and the staff very helpful. We would recommend the surf and turf if you are looking for a treat. Tjanks
We visited the Ruddington Arms for lunch with an elderly relative. From beginning to end the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good value for money, beautifully presented and tasted great. We will be back.
The food was lovely myself and all the flies thought so, the staff were very abrupt, clearing glasses and not asking if you’d like another drink as if us being there was a hassle.
This is our go to restaurant when we can't be bothered to cook. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent and we always enjoy our evenings at the Ruddington Arms. Routinely, I give the restaurant top marks for the overall experience, but last night we had to ask to move tables because of an infestation of flies in the corner where we were originally sat. Other than that, and last night may have been a one off, 10 out of 10.
The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. I haven’t had a baked Alaska for years!! I would definitely go back again. Really good.
Always a lovely time in RA, very accommodating to food requirements. Looking forwards to the garden party on 26th July get your tickets now for a fav evening
Fantastic meal, both food & service by Laura & the team, first class. Pity they've done away with the 'free pint' loyalty scheme. Can't wait to go back again soon nevertheless.
Food here is consistently great! It’s really a gem for a “local” place, with interesting wines and good beer selection, all of which pairs with the fantastic menu
Once again introduced some new friends to the Sunday lunch. Had the beef. They were well impressed. Said they would be making another visit. Thanks again
First time visit but not the last. Food was good and served by a very helpful and informative staff. We had booked our table for 8.30 (4 people) and unlike some venues our table was ready as soon as we walked in even though the restaurant was very busy.
Lovely food with great service. Good choice on the menu. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Will visit again soon.
I'm a regular but brough a new friend here for lunch. Both had the chicken club sandwich, lovely. Shared the backed alaska, to die for, but was then told they will be taking it off the winter menu 😣.
An excellent meal, the service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious and the desserts were brilliant. I’m usually a starter and main type of customer, but I am so happy we did main and dessert instead. The doughnuts and Eton mess were wonderful.
Spur of the moment for tea yesterday. Has the chicken with chips. Couldn't fault it. Would recommend
Great food, great service in a really nice setting. Overall a really enjoyable experience. I would particularly recommend the Baked Alaska and the Yorkshire Rhubarb Fool.
Another Sunday lunch here. As usual excellent food and atmosphere
Excellent food n great service will definitely be going back .. would highly recommend for specially occasions as well as dropping in for a bite
Excellent food and service. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, but felt like it had class to it too. Would definitely recommend and will return soon
Food was excellent yet again, service was fantastic as usual, really good exp
The restaurant has always given us good food and service. This visit was a tremendous disappointment. We had single items from the lite bite menu and told the staff we were in a hurry. This took over half an hour to arrive and when it did it was overcooked. Coffee took another 30 minutes. The service was appalling. Don't think we will be back.
Food was excellent as was the service. It is time they lost the wooden trenchers. Look unhygienic and present problems keeping the food on them. Otherwise a most enjoyable lunch.
