The Swan Hotel Smoke & Taphouse

Been here a couple of times before but don't think we'll be coming again. Poor service, didn't have my original meal option and then when we did order, food was poor.

Great food recommend the brisket burnt ends, salt and chilli mess fries and the ribs. Nice sized restaurant and outside area. Small terrace for smokers also

Arrived on time for our booking. No one seemed to want to attend to us despite us advising several different members of staff of our requirements. Then had to wait 15 minutes to be allocated a table. Finally a member of staff who had dashed over from the pub next door showed us to our table. Another 15 minutes passed by before the same person noticed that our order had not been taken. She then set about finding someone to take our order. Five minutes later our order was taken. 45 to 50 minutes later our food arrived. It was over cooked and dry. For example the Baby back ribs were like chewing beef jerky and certainly did not fall of the bone. The meals were not good value for money. Needless to say we will not be visiting this pub again.

Excellent service, friendly staff and a pleasant variation on the menu for afternoon tea. Nothing was too much trouble and we would thoroughly recommend it.

The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the restaurant. There is so much choice and it is so delicious. The only negative was the service was a bit slow.

Lovely food which everyone enjoyed , just had to wait a little time for our meal to be served when we visited what was a shame with children.

Great meal and service. There were 10 of us, we pre ordered to ensure we could get the meals we preferred as it was bank holiday, which worked perfectly.

Really delicious food and well presented. We all loved the messy fries and could eat a bowl of those on their own! Good service too.

Good atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was very nice and tasty, good selection of drinks including a very lovely Rubarb gin with Ginger. Would recommend for a nice meal out.

Service was good. Food good. This place is a little jewel. Brisket was a little dry tonight but the pulled pork was yummmm. Great experience and will be back !!

The food and the staff are amazing, and it is set in a lovely location just off the river Severn . Would definitely recommend the chicken and ribs

By far the best grill house in Telford. Amazing service, incredible food and a lovely atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! I can honestly say it's the best meal out in Telford full stop. Heads up- the pork belly is TO DIE FOR!!!

Excellent food and service. My friend and I were in the area for business and had been here the previous year and if anything the place was better than last year. We shared a "Burnt ends" starter and then I had a hot dog and finished off with the chocolate brownie. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Lovely friendly staff. A very warm welcome. The food was amazing. Amazing potions. My son whos a human dustbin was even full and thats something.Defiantly recommend it. Will defiantly be returning.

Very attentive staff upon arrival, great atmoshpere. Very quick service to our pre-booked table. Reviewed extensive menu, made our choices and wasn't disappointed with the result. Great service - great meal........ Will be going again and recommending the Swan to friends.

Very good food. Staff were friendly as well. It was our first evening out as a married couple and we both enjoyed it so thank you.

Okay. Confusion over what was available on menu, was then served chips instead of sweet potato. Took them away and apologised.had to wait for them.

Place was closely situated to where we were staying, so we had a walk down. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, but we picked our favourites from there, I had belly pork other half had full rack of ribs. The service was very quick and friendly. The atmosphere was good too. It didn't take long for the food to come out and they looked really good. They tasted even better than they looked too! We were too full for pudding unfortunately, but there was a wide range of items on there too. If you are around that area i would definitely recommend trying it. It's probably worth checking their menu out online first too. There is also parking on-site/close-by too if you are driving! Price-wise, I think you are paying for what you are getting, so it's not on a cheap side, but what you get is worth the extra.

The staff were really nice staff, the food was good, just a little drafty in the corner of the room. Would recommend to friends and family.

Very nice food, very friendly staff - chips were far too salty but they offered us a free drink to compensate. A nice place to eat.

Great food and ale - particularly their own brew And the choice of burgers / mac and cheese. A fairly long wait for food though.
