Food very good and reasonably inexpensive. We were near the door and a bit drafty. Noisy but good service. We would certainly go back if in the area.

Nice communication with the Winged Ox team to get our orders in in advance to avoid delays and allow us to dine relaxed before the doors for the gig next door at St Luke's were opening. Food and drinks were very good and service friendly. Perfect food & gig combo.

Great food great atmosphere great service. A rare and welcome Resturant for dog lovers. Today we had a beautiful springer sharing our feet. A pleasant and bubbling resturant with well presented staff and the venue for “ Tide Lines” could’t go wrong

Sat at the double doors which were wedged open all the time, constant cold wind every time the front door opened, which was a lot, had to eat with coats on, as did the next tables.the food was about average.

We had a really good meal before a Celtic Connections concert. The burgers and French fries were rated highly by my friends while I enjoyed a steak and Guinness pie with chips and roast veg. Washed down with Heide Weiss beer it was a fine feed. Music was well-chosen, not too loud, service was friendly and quick and the place was buzzing. We hope to get back soon.

Fantastic first visit to the Winged Ox and I will most definitely be returning. Food was fantastic and some good deals on too which I wasn’t expecting, staff were equally as good and very attentive too with both food and drinks served to table in great time. Attend gig in the function room too which was sizeable but still intimate for an acoustic/Celtic Connections gig. There were 2 bars open in the function room and again service was good and timely with queues at a minimum all night. I will certainly be returning here in the very near future, highly recommended.

Initially, an odd looking place, but once inside, it has got great character. Our first Dog Friendly encounter, but it did not put us off. The staff were attentive and quick. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. It is a "Bare Bones" establishment, but I would have no qualms about recommending it and we shall go back to try some of the other delights that was on the menu.

Wonderful, from the minute we walked in til the minute we walked out! The staff were so kind and friendly. They made us feel very welcome and nothing was a bother. We took my daughter's dog and she just loved all the attention she received from both the staff and the other customers. The food was amazing and the portions were very substantial! There was also a lot of choice, I can be quite picky sometimes but did not have any complaints regarding the choice or quality of food. There was also a very relaxed atmosphere about the place. We all loved it! Give it a try, I'm sure you will love it!

Attended a gig at St Lukes for the second time and chose this time to eat at The Winged Ox to be on site for doors opening... we will return to St Lukes, but unlikely to have a pre gig meal at The Winged Ox again. Tables are so close together we felt unable to sit comfortably to eat (and both girls are a Size 10!) and we could hear everything at both tables each side of us, probably because the music was "bar loud" rather than restaurant level and diners therefore had to raise their voices to have a conversation. Talking to each other during the meal was therefore very difficult. Our server was very friendly and helpful, but the food was sadly disappointing. Only the pork belly squares starter out of three starters really pleased and only the Winged Ox Burger Main Course was rated as Good... The only dessert ordered was Bread & Butter pudding and it was apparently very good. Overall, not a dining experience we will repeat... we will eat in Merchant City and just come to the Gig...

Would not go back here again, very loud crammed in so practically sitting on top of the people at the table beside you. The seats are like wooden school chairs so uncomfortable and the food wasn't great, chicken burger was so chewy I couldn't eat it. Then waited 20 mins to be brought a biofuels cheesecake. All in all id say avoid this place!

Great food, great live music, nice place, good relaxed atmosphere. Love how folk brought their dogs in! Had a meal before a gig and the guy singing and playing guitar while we were eating was fabulous! Sounded like Joe Cocker singing blues, really enjoyed the whole night. The gig was great too!
