The Winged Ox

This was my first visit to the Winged Ox, pre-dinner before attending a gig at St Luke's. The winged Ox had a vibrant atmosphere and the menu offered a great selection of choices. The Staff were attentive without being overbearing. The food was great tasting and good value for money. Will definitely visit again.

First vist, loved it, food was excellent and really good value for money, lovely staff and thought the venue was brilliant - we will be back 😃

Great atmosphere and lovely food, huge portions so you might want to skip lunch if you're going for dinner! The staff were very attentive also, never had an empty glass despite the bar being busy.

Great food, lots of choice. We had 2 little ones and they love this place, good menu and very chilled for kids too. Would recommend to friends and will defo be back ;-)

Good food and great service, will definitely come back again. The place has a great buzz and nice clientelle. Would have stayed longer but our table was booked for later.

We had a really nice dinner at The Winged Ox! The atmosphere was relaxed and the service friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend a visit, especially if you are going to see a gig at St Lukes next door.

Nice buzz about the place but the veggie selection is quite limited and mainly carb based. Also I think it is too expensive to charge £8.75 for a large glass of Rioja.

A great selection of beers with superb and delicious food. Real friendly atmosphere and great service. Dogs allowed to join their owners is a bonus.

What an absolutely great place. Excellent food & a brilliant atmosphere. Also fantastic live music on a Sunday afternoon... Altogether this place is first class!

Excellent food and great staff! We like to visit when we can as it being a dog friendly place with a menu for the dogs its great, prefect for Sunday brunch as well.

Brilliant service and the food was outstanding. The Pub allows dogs in which is good and they have their own menu. Will defo be back

Beware of adding drinks to your tab. We had paid for our drinks separately from food but when the bill came 4 drinks had been added. This was corrected but the managers attitude was awful. Definitely won't be back.

Food was great, both had steak and was absolutely delicious, however there wasn't much choice in regards to a desert menu there were only 4 options. Otherwise food was great, no complaints and cooked to perfection.

The food was great, the drink selection was good as well. The music was a bit louder than expected, but would be fine if I was just going for drinks. I'll definitely be going back!

Good steak cooked to correct level, perhaps under-seasoned, but the sauce and the accompanying chips ,tomato and mushroom made up for that. Service very helpful and there was a decent selection of cocktails and beers. Wine list a little limited but offers a few options. Overall pretty happy. The music was a bit muddy...is it onor is it Not? The

Cracking pub - loved the decor. Food great - had chicken burger and fries - very tasty. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend and would defo go back.

Always a pleasure to visit here, food, service, price, atmosphere etc all fantastic. Not too far out of the city centre and near to the Barrowland Ballroom..def worth the wee walk

Excellent experience, pleasant ambience, attentive staff, good quality food, great value. The restaurant has a varied menu with many choices for vegetarians, and something for everyone including small plates and sharing platters. The prices were competitive and the staff were efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

Great place. Great choice on menu. Good quality burger and fish kebab delicious. Lovely service and good atmosphere too. Overall excellent place for food, booze, and vibes.

What a hip place....brilliant atmosphere and surroundings. Something for everyone (including the dog) and the food is great (if a little unusual)! Good choice of drinks and the prices are good for the city!!! Staff friendly....service a tiny bit sketchy when busy but to be expected.....love the place and the staff :-)

My first visit. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was great especially the nachos, best I've had. Charging silly prices for drinks in the music venue though, a can of irn bru and a can of lager £6.50!! It wouldn't put me off going back though, had a good night.

Beer, surroundings , service all good - only let down was chicken wings were overcooked. Possibly cooked once earlier, then again when ordered. This left a burnt oily taste to them.

Good honest food..And dogs are wellcome too..awoooooo 10/10.!St.Lukes is now our fav place to eat and drink..it really is the dogs b******s😘 :-) :-) :-)

Four of us had flat iron steak meal - it was delicious. The service was excellent. We had a lovely time and would recommend The Winged Ox to anyone.

Been here before, this time it was mobbed, concert on next door. Big greedy portions, cheap wine, and lovely staff. Pub quiz was on the night we were there, wish we could have stayed longer.

Great place to take your canine friend! They even have a doggy menu and doggy beer. The staff are most welcoming and the service is fantastic. You will be well taking care of!

Food was amazing and they even served lunch for my dog too :). Brill find, I'll be back for sure. Great place for the summer as they've got a beer garden as well.

Very busy when we were in but service was good. Once the order was in we didn't have to wait long for our food. Our party of 6 all had different thing and everyone enjoyed their meal. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Will go back.

Great atmosphere in an eclectic setting close to Barrowland. Arrived earlier and table was available. Very friendly staff with brilliant food, great portion size and drinks. Busy with plenty of patrons with their dogs who also enjoyed the setting.

Great vibe, great service, really good food. The homemade pastrami was excellent, just a hint of smoke. Will come again even if not seeing a show at Saint Luke's.

This is a hidden gem! We were at a gig in st Luke's and had drinks here. Staff very friendly and dogs are even allowed 👍🏻

Fantastic food, very reasonably priced, lovely staff, awesome entertainment, great atmosphere - what's not to like. We'll definitely be back. Might even bring our dogs the next time.

Friendly staff, good food. Worth the little bit of a walk out from town, and definitely worth eating there if you have a gig next door at Saint Lukes

Good food and excellent service. Lovely day out with family. We had the chicken and brisket burger which were both served quickly and to a high standard.

The service was fantastic, attentive without being over bearing. There was a good variety of food on the menu. I had the burger which was excellent. Good reasonably priced.

Great food, venue and service. Would definitely recommend the chilli. Ideal if you're going to something at St Luke's and would recommend booking in advance.

Lovely food as usual. Just one issue - my dog's food was served in what looked like a cardboard lid for a burger. Can you go back to proper dog bowls please? If i hadn't grabbed it off her she'd have torn it to bits. Thanks!

Second visit to the winged ox. Last Thursday being my first. But was dramatic change in food quality. I invited 4 friends with me this time as was so happy with previous week. Food service. Staff were all great so much so I bought all staff a drink. But Saturday was realy disappointing spent £120 on food bill but much of the food was left. Pork Nellie bites were dripping of fat. Chicken wings were pink in the middle. Boneless wings were fine. One of the steaks was sent back as not cooked to order. Nachos with chillie witch I thought were home cooked must have been bottom of the bag as were all broke and a bowl of crumbs. Rice was under cooked. Saturday was realy busy compared to Thursday so don't know if this is the ushal standard for a busy day as Thursday was not so busy and amazing. I will be back as hope this may have just been a bad day. Service and staff were still lovely. Just food quality realy poor.

We ate here at hogmany food was great , staff attentive and the party for hogmany was good and well organised. If I had 1 gripe it would be that a piper for the bells would have finished the night off, we had 4 English friends with us and it would have been a real treat for them but a great night had by all. Its our second visit, was there for a gig a few weeks ago. Look forward to our next visit.

Quirky little menu. relatively quick service despite it being busy. Thought the non-alcoholic drinks were on the expensive side. Would recommend a visit if you havent been before.

Lovely inside. Nice burger and chips and the soft drinks reasonably priced. Dog menu available and certainly enjoyed. Dessert lovely but very overpriced for a tiny square (£6)

Fantastic as usual, we were well taken care of. My dog had a great time and loved all the attention. Cant wait to go back.

Waitresses rude. Not a good visit on this occasion. Have been before but this has put me off. Waitress had to keep returning to table to asks what I'd ordered, how l wanted it done etc as she couldn't remember.

There were 5 of us here today plus the dog. All food was great. The Service was also very good. We will definitely be eating here again.
