Loved it, good quality produce usef Plenty of food big portions
Pleasant environment, excellent food and first class service. Super evening.
We were disappointed by the dryness of the main course and concerned by the lack of clientele m
Great wee place tucked away down a cobbled street in Leith. Varied, interesting and reasonably priced ... hearty portions! Friendly and attentive staff.
Great food and service as always! See you again very soon!
Good food and portion size, friendly service and lovely environment all together made a very pleasant experience
Very friendly personel and nice venue. The room need a look over changing bulbs and cleaning Food was more then ok and very generous Overall Good
We couldn't get a table for 6 on evening of Sat 10 August so decided to come for lunch instead. The weather was gorgeous just like Room in Leith.
Lovely food, fantastic friendly service & good value for money
Great, really fresh seafood, beautifully cooked and presented and can thoroughly recommend
Best scallops ever! Lovely staff, good varied menu. Definitely go again!!
Great food and atmosphere. Very professional, friendly and helpful staff.
Great service, well presented, tasty food! Friendly staff, lovely laid-back atmosphere. We will be back!
With Fingal being a short 7/8 minute walk, our party found the restaurant an easily. Sea food platter is a must for fish lovers, as was the monk fish curry, with steak also hitting the spot. Suffice to say, clean plates all round. A convenient large round table completed the experience in a wing just off the main dinning area, a bit more private, which made the experience most enjoyable on a hot and sunny Saturday afternoon. Don't forget a plentiful supply of good tap water to wash down the fine wine.
great food and well thought out menu. Nice service and all round good spot
Lovely place- unreal tasty food, lovely atmosphere and great service
Because of circumstances we often stay overnight in Leith. ‘A Room in Leith...’ is always our preferred option for eating.
Lovely food, great service and a super location in Leith.
A very cute quaint delicious sea and game restaurant I would definitely recommend
Lovely meal. Great way to spend an evening. Would definitely go again
I used to be a frequent visitor to A Room in Leith. Previously they offered a set menu and BYOB, which was great value for money, however now neither is available. The new menu focuses mainly on game and seafood, and whilst there is a nice choice, it is quite pricy. The food itself was tasty, though not outstanding. The service was good, and the staff friendly. However, there are lots of new eateries in the area to try, so unfortunately I won't be rushing back.
A very pleasant dining experience, small touches make a difference, like being advised that the dish you would take 25 mins to be freshly baked. It is a nice change to be informed! visited twice in 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service on both occasions.
Perfect evening! Delicious food - very generous for the price & delightful surroundings.
Been several times. Always very pleased with the food and the service.
The environment and atmosphere was good, staff were very friendly and good service. However, very disappointed of the food quality, especially oysters, too tiny (not just small) size was smaller than my pinky, those were not stuck on shells. Too many smoked salmon as less fresh fish/seafood. The kitchen was not an open kitchen but too smoky sitting in the restaurant, ie the ventilation was not great.
Terrific food and something for everyone to pick from. Definitely will go back
Amazing food and service in a relaxed setting, thoroughly recommended
Such a memorable place. Staff was very personable from the moment we walked in, engaged with the guests without being pushy or looking annoyed with our many questions. Very unique gin flight, fresh and generous seafood platter. DONT FORGET TO TRY THE LEMON POSSET for dessert. Great texture, flavor, and just right to finish off the meal.
1st time trying seafood and i will be back again place was great
Foods was fabulous. Service are great, staffs are nice and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.
I've been going to A Room in Leith a lot recently. Is it the great fish and chips? The fabulous fish pie? The lovely staff? All of the above. Plus it's near my home. Result!
Good food and service a nice atmosphere not to expensive what not to like.
Very tasty scallops and cod dishes. Relaxed setting. Ginger ice cream for dessert
Never ever fails, probably the best fish and chips anywhere in Edinburgh and the staff are great. I'm going again this week and will probably have the fish pie which is wonderful. Nearly as good as my own!!
Food great, wine great, staff attentive but not overly so. Will go again
Called after I booked a table to say they were fully booked
Very pleasant evening at A Room in Leith. Will be back.
Food was terrific. Risotto with smoked haddock & crab topped with perfectly cooked scallops was superb.
