As always in A Room in Leith the food and staff were excellent. I love visiting this restaurant as you always get 5 star treatment and delicious food.

Never disappointed at a room in Leith with either the food or service which were excellent, we have eaten here a few times over the years and the consistency is always first class, very relaxing and very enjoyable, cheers!

Attentive and helpful staff, excellent food a very good quality experience. Restaurant specialises in seafood and both the mussels and the sea bass I had were of a high standard. The cheese to finish was very flavoursome.

Nice food, very relaxed atmosphere, good for an easy sunday afternoon. Shared the meat platter, it was tasty. The stars of it were the roe deer haunch, the stew and the chips. A decent bottle of prosecco helped wash it down.

Had a Saturday lunch for two, a very well put together meat sharing platter, the quality off the food and taste was absolutely mouthwatering. All staff were friendly and efficient, I would go back for more anytime. Thank you to all the staff.

Good food using local produce, keen staff and nice atmosphere but not the best meal I have ever had and the surroundings looked a bit tired.

Had a meal for a party of 6 with one child, originally it was for 4 people but things change and the restaurant was great about this, no problem at all. The food was to a high quality and superbly put together with fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly but not over intrusive and catered for our every needs. All and all a good experience and enjoyable time.

Lovely food (fancy take on Scottish cuisine) at a reasonable price and a great selection of whiskeys to end your meal! And the Leith waterfront (Shore) is a beauty.

Food was amazing and staff very attentive. Ash course was send out in good time - bread and water delivered to table which was topped up regularly. Cocktails were in very small glasses for the price and the room was very cold considering it was a rainy day I would have liked it to have been a bit warmer and cozy inside, had to wrap my coat around my legs like a blanket to get a heat. Overall really enjoyed the experience.

Excellent cozy little place with absolutely brilliant seafood and enormous sharing platters, and very good and attentive service. Also has a nice garden view through huge glass doors.

Excellant prsentstation of the starter. The sirloin was tough for a medium request, but the scallops and grilled mussels were superb! The pudding of Carrot Cake with Ginger and Whisky was, again, superb! I'v had better here before and I'll come again! Select your sirloin of beef better is crucial!

Food fantastic again and really good value for money. We received better service first time we came from male waiting staff female this time she hardly spoke wasn't rood but definitely not friendly.

Sunday evening dinner - menu could perhaps either do with being more varied or slimmed down, as there is something not quite right with the choice available. However, aside from that, the mussels are absolutely the best in town and must be ordered. It's great that they're included in the set menu, and they really are delicious. We had both the mariniere and the blue cheese, both superb. They can also be got from the Teuchters pub opposite. The service was not as good as I had been expecting. It was a little careless, and we definitely didn't feel like we were getting the staff's full attention. I liked the informality of it, it just would have been nice to have a bit more energy and confidence. I was pretty disappointed and, as a waitress myself, feel like service could improve a lot without a change of style. Maybe we went on a bad day, although that really shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this. Overall, we had a nice time and a good meal. It just could have been great, and that's what is disappointing.

Lovely to be told the table was ours for the whole night so we were not rushed in any way. The service was very good and the meal was delicious, especially the Meat sharing platter.
