Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The Maitre d' made us feel awkward and was slow to attend to us. However, we had a fabulous waitress towards the end of the meal.

I'd booked ahead and we were greeted and seated right away. We then waited a full 15 minutes and not one waiter even acknowledged us. My husband complained to the manager and then things started to move, he took our order himself. He explained they were a staff member down, but even so to not even be given some water and a nod to say they were busy and would be right with us, this is basic stuff! After complaining it felt like everyone was then coming to check how we were. The food, as always, was good we had steak, chicken and roast pork. Cote is a huge favourite with us as a family and we eat often at the various branches. Barnes is relatively new, but I really expect much, much more from the service. I don't care if you're busy or short staffed, you take a minute to say hello to your table and let them know you're aware and will be with them soon. The manager did apologise and gave us a discount off them bill redeeming the initial bad impression.

Nice welcome from member of staff who had previously worked at Sloane Square branch, great asset to Barnes Cote. Muscadet wine nicely chilled and good value. Calamari starter , good taste and quality. Breton chicken slightly dry ,fries crisp and hot as they should be. Great setting overlooking the pond, will definitely return.

The only thing I didn't like was having to book via a machine. The phone machine wouldn't accept my landline number so I went online, the machine there was more accommodating but I would still have preferred a person. The meal itself was very good, as was the service, and the Brasseries was a pleasant place to be on a very hot day. There was a good and varied choice of dishes drinks and coffee.

We had a nice welcome but a real problem with one of my guest's main courses. It was greatly overcooked and a replacement was offered which took so long to come that we had finished eating by the time the dish was served again. A discount was made to my bill but that really was not the problem. After that, our plates remained on the table for a long time after we had finished - I had to ask for them to be cleared away. Nice spacious restaurant and helpful staff. May give it another try in the future.

This is a good, new branch of Côte in a fabulous location, overlooking Barnes pond. This site has been occupied by several less-than-god restaurants in recent years, and we're all delighted that Côte has arrived!

Really good food, quite expensive but nice atmosphere and great service. The only thing is the portion sizes for certain meals seemed a bit unfair and the creme brûlée was cold but very tasty.

Visited Cote Barnes in August 2018. We received a warm welcome and throughout the service was excellent! My companion and I both enjoyed the calamari as a starter. For mains, she had seafood linguine and I had the pork. All of the food met the standards we expect from Cote. The seating arrangements and ambience were good. The highlight of the experience was the service: professional, relaxed, friendly and helpful.

Very good. I found it a little noisy with sound vibrating but my companion did not. However very much enjoyed the meal. Only slight hiccup waitress forgot to bring the mustard.

Great location next to the village pond. Very friendly and efficient staff. Welcomed by the manager and shown to our table. Our reserved table ready for us on time. The menu has a fantastic choice of dishes for everyone. We have visited several Cotes in London and the high quality of delicious food is consistent throughout. Barnes is no exception to that and is a welcome addition to Barnes village.

Lovely Sunday evening dinner. Char grilled salmon was delicious. Companion opted for the fish pie which was equally good and not over cooked. Chocolate deserts to finish. Fab.

The cod I ordered my son came out super quick and I was dubious as to whether it was cooked properly. His food got cold very quick and the portion size differs every time I've been. I ordered the chicken and walnut salad but it should of read chicken salad as the walnuts were non existent. Also the chicken was so salty that I left half of it. The chocolate mousse dessert was excellent.

Good value Sunday supper. Rejuvenated site that was a disaster for Ask and Wildwood previously. Cotes is a good addition to the Barnes restaurant choices. Oka is new too.

A bit haphazard - wrong starter and forgot to bring water. Very very noisy. Is there no sound proofing at all? Steak was fine but I’ve had better at La Plata in Sheen. Need to look at your supplier....

This is our fourth visit to Barnes and it is a pleasant welcome on arrival and the female manager last night was worthy of praise. However, there is room for improvement on the waiting staff. I don’t want a reply, by hope you find my comments worthwhile. AG

This is a location we know well and we are pleased it’s now a Cote. We met friends for lunch and ate off the set menu which was excellent. Service which is usually very good in Cote restaurants was not so good and we had long waits between courses.
