We know other Cotes well, Sloan Square etc. This was our 1st visit to Cote Barnes and it is terrific! It was a very hot Sunday lunch, but their doors were open onto the duck pond and it was nice, bright and breezy. The servers are welcoming, prompt and charming. The menu(s) is simple, but covers everything you could want. The red house wine was just OK but the food was brilliant! It arrived quickly, was beautifully presented and all tasted delicious. The mussels were a bit small in the fish stew but that must just be the time of year. All good value for money in a very affluent setting. The other customers (sorry darling you must mean clientele) are an author’s dream. It’s worth a visit just to watch them!

Excellent customer service. Staff, restaurant and food were lovely. The only problem was that it was quite cold with the air conditioning but the staff were very helpful and turned it down. Would recommend!

Poor standard overall and had hallmarks of being recently opened. Service staff appeared very inexperienced. Mussels starter had been steamed to death but with many unopened. Steaks were of poor quality and stringy but grilled to required level. Desserts were much better but probably produced offsite. Negotiated reasonable discount but not sure it was enough. Would not recommend until they get their act together. Nice setting though.

Lovely lunch on Barnes Fair day. A welcome seat and a chance to cool off and enjoy steak frites with green salad - very tasty.

A quick pre match supper. Delicious salad with juicy melon, ham and green tomatoes. Comfortable booth seating but the taking orders via tablets needs a bit more work.

Usually rate Cote really highly. Lovely lunch today but calamari was a little overdone (last time it was perfect) and my steak was overdone. Ordered exactly the same last visit and it was perfect. Different chef today? Nevertheless a great location and lovely afternoon.

I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday meal with the family at Côte in Barnes. Good food, nice wine, a cheese platter (not always a given these days) and good Armagnac to finish.

£100 voucher appreciated as gesture of goodwill as a result of food poisoning from mussels at Market Place but surprised to see them still on the menu. Greeted by manager on arrival and given a table I'd requested at the rear. Full marks for decor although very noticeable smell of cooking (most likely fish) when entering front of restaurant and also at the rear although less so near the open windows. Probably issue with your extract. Chose from set menu, two x 2 course and 2 x 3 (Incidetally your A board advertises the 2 course at £16.95 whereas the menu itself is £15.95). We tried to order Campari and Orange but no campari stocked and instead a Gin and Fever Tree tonic but only Shweppes available. Sterters ordered were Duck pate (tasty but too rich) and excellent calamari. Mains were a very mediocre chewey rib-eye and overcooked cod. Your signature 2x chicked though were excellent. We orderd two side salads that were pretty poor with very little dressing and in any case unnecessary if we'd been told the chicken and fish have salads included. Side dishes were spinach (too creamy) but good peas. Deserts were my favourite ice-cream with chocolate sauce but surprised we were charged extra or the mixed sorbet and ice-cream not on the set menu. Good service and advice on wine. Surpised at the size of the bill of £145 for basically 4 set menus and one bottle of wine. Wimbledon has better food and even without the lovely setting of Barnes we're unlikely to return in the forseeable future.

Very good service and nice food. Not sure why we were unable to book for the time we requested ( we asked for 7.30pm and were told only 7.45pm was available). When we arrived there were very many empty tables.

I understand they recently opened and are ironing out the kinks. Nice staff but not proficient. food is delayed and every time the chicken is overcookeda dnthe fries undercooked. this has not improved over the past 3 weeks that we have been there. I love Cote in general and hope they can pull it together soon or they may not succeed in Barnes.

We chose from the Prestige menu. Calamari was excellent but the pork belly was drowned in thyme and very fatty and whilst I appreciate that pork belly would have fat, it had not been cooked out sufficiently so disappointed. Dessert of peach crumble was also disappointing and we pointed this out so were not charged for this item. The 'fruit' in the dessert was indistinguishable and bland, overcooked. Their house rose wine was not available either.

Sauce or the Asparagus was very overloaded with Tarragon. I personally think a less strong herb would go better. Perhaps lemon and chervil? Steaks were bleu not rare but the FANTASTIC Maitre D swiftly brought new ones and adjusted our bill.

Lovely brunch overlooking the pond. The eggs florentine was too over powered with garlic for me, but the waiter insist d I had another without the garlic without charge.
