OK so it was a quiet night before NYE, so the place was only 1/2 full. But none the less the service was excellent and creatively helpful. Friendly banter without being too much. We chose a tapas like meal from a selection of starters - all brilliant. One of the nicest meals we have had out in a long time. We were tempted to puds - also excellent, even if a dish too far. When the bill came, it was a glass of wine short - so when represented I believe that the wine was charged at 1/2 price. Without doubt, one of the best places in Hale. Well done guys - keep it up and HNY!

Reliably good. We had the lunch set menu which was tasty and hot, with good service, and excellent value! What more can you want on a cold winters day?

The food and service were very good. The only downside was that there were only three tables occupied on Boxing night and as it is a very large restaurant, there was a distinct lack of atmosphere.

The meal was ok although a little expensive for the amount of food given. The waitress was a little incompetent. She dropped some food on the table (cold meat) while serving and just left it there - and therefore left the plate of food short and mumbled a quiet apology. She forgot 2 orders of fries and forgot to bring us water. Not great.

Good service, very good food and excellent value for money. Toilet location not very convenient, upstairs same as kitchen so often a danger of meeting waiters with loaded trays on a steep and narrow staircase.

Really excellent meal and service will be back in January, I had the camembert off the early bird, it was delicious, the caramel was wonderful

Our party of 4 all had starters & mains, all excellent. Wine reasonably priced. Staff excellent, service somewhat slow as the restaurant was very busy. This not distract from an excellent visit.

The staff were unbelievably amazing and so was the service throughout our evening. We've never had a bad meal and we'd definitely recommend to anyone.

As always at Hale the service was excellent, the food was as I would have wished for and , overall, a most enjoyable meal. It remains my favourite restaurant in the area.

Good food, quick service. ResTAURANT LACKED A BIT OF ATMOSPHERE AND WAS A BIT EMPTY. MAYBE A BIT OF MUSIC COULD BE ADDED? LOTS OF CHOICE FOR FOOD AND VERY TASTY.

As ever, a fabulous meal at cote. Gorgeous food and wine and really attentive service. The chocolate mousse is to die for! Will be back

Throughly enjoyed our lunch today in the company of friends. We all chose from the well priced set lunch menu and the choice of garnished pate for 3 and my langoustines were all very tasty. For mains 2 praised their choice of moules in a cream sauce, the charred chicken breast and my steak frites were all highly rated. We did not intend to have puds but with apple crumble and chocolate pot on offer who could resist.? We rounded off with coffee. The service was efficient and very pleasant without being intrusive. Our choice of wine was unavailable but our waitress redeemed the situation by offering a very acceptable alternative at the same price. I would recommend this venue.

Food was good but service could have been better. We waited quite a long time for our starters, even though the restaurant was very quiet. I ordered a chicken salad for my main course but they brought me a grilled goats cheese salad, which they admitted was their fault.

Four of us went to Cote on Saturday evening and had a lovely time. We all had different starters and main courses and we were all delighted with the food, presentation and service.

Good food and pleasant staff. Lunch time menu good value with plenty of choice. Busy venue and nice atmosphere. Not so easy to find parking.

The service and food were pleasantly presented and we were not kept waiting, however the only criticism was that the meat was somewhat tough and chewy.

My steak frites was perfect.My husband's hake was well cooked but swimming in garlic completely masking the delicate taste of the fish.Why add garlic at all- it seems to be the fashion to add it without thought!!

Great service, lovely food. Had the chicken dish on early menu and crime caramel as a dessert really delicious. Facilitated our need to get to the theatre in time. Will definitely go again.

Great service with lovely food Cotê never dissapoint. We had the amazing Mussles in cream and white wine sauce followed by steak all cooled to pefection the desserts were equally devine.

Staff were on the ball & the food was great. The place is much nicer following its refurbishment. Good value! We will be back! Thank you

Nice relaxed restaurant with consistently good food. Staff friendly & helpful. Best to go early as the place seems to clear out around 9.30. Well recommend.

In a very nice little booth where easy to chat - excellent food and good service - definitely go back - only comment, not keen on the music, perhaps turn it down a bit.

Very welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. Food could be better with a few minor adjustments. But all in all the special meals are good value for money.

Good meal but poor service - did not check that we were happy with our food - one of our side dishes was missing ingredients but we had no opportunity to get this rectified.

The service standard for LUNCH on a very quiet period for restaurant was excellent,helpful,friendly and had focus on myself/wife. Food quality was OK - but portion size limited which was disappointing for me

We enjoyed the meal we had at Cote Hale. The only criticism we have is that the portions of food could have been slightly larger. Overall we enjoyed and will visit again.

My second visit and, again, with 4 other people. We all had different dishes, and every dish was perfect. It will make it difficult to choose which dish next time. The service has always been first class, friendly and patient.

Typically good food. A nicely adapted building which is easy to access. Superb staff and service. This is an another great addition to the Cote chain.

The manager at Cote in Hale is exceptional, from a warm welcome to providing advice on wine choices and outstanding customer care he ensures the whole evening is a delight. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend a cost to Cote on Hale.

Nice food,got the starters ok, but had to wait long time for main, in the end had to ask for it, got impression they had lost order/forgotten about us, shame.

Overall experience was great. The restaurant was a little cold when we arrived but it wasn't very busy. As soon as more people arrived the restaurant soon warmed up. The food was delicious; 2 of our party ate fish the other 2 steak and all thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely go again.

We were given a warm welcome by the staff who were all lovely and the food was delicious. The service was excellent. A lovely lunch for my friends birthday!

The team at Côte Brasserie could not have been more attentive & certainly helped to celebrate our Dad’s 80th Birthday. Food was excellent & couldn’t recommend the experience more.
