We visited for an after theatre meal. Everything was perfect and the staff were welcoming and courteous. Always a treat!
Great food. We got a lovely table. Very pleasant staff too. Wonderful location to go for a walk in the Southbank afterwards.
For pre theatre you can't fault this Côte. We had reservations and were seated right away and served wine and water right after ordering. The mains came without prompting and with no niggles about one substitution. My chicken was a little overdone but very tasty, veg perfect and sauce great. Total praise from my companion. This Côte coped with a totally full house in Festival and Queen Elizabeth halls with aplomb and was well resourced. Good planning, good management and great service went with the food.
Very good service and good fine, noisy but unsurprising given location
We visited the South Bank Cote following a concert and arrived at about 10:15pm. We were shown to a table which was fine but within about 5 minutes of ordering our food it arrived. There's fast service and suspiciously quick service and there is no way that the frites had been freshly cooked as they were cool inside and tasted as if they had been sitting under some sort of warming appliance. 3 of us had steak which, when we've had this at Cote in Brighton or Teddington or anywhere else, has always been perfectly cooked/charred on the outside but this time it was obvious that it had barely been shown the cooking appliance ie just with a couple of char stripes on them. We were hungry so we ate it but were very, very disappointed and would not recommend this branch of Cote to anyone or go there again ourselves.
A great welcome. Great food and drinks. Professional service without being intrusive.
It was a reunion and cote honoured my request for a quieter table and accommodated the unintended staggered arrival times of the diners. Great night out.
Very nice food and the waitress was very friendly too
Excellent service, very friendly and willing to accommodate us even though we were very early. The food was attractively presented and I would recommend the roast duck.
Service on ordering was prompt and courteous. Food was tasty and we'll presented. Server who took the bill said she couldn't divide the bill between 4 as she didn't have a calculator. Not a problem as I did it on my phone but she could have been friendlier.
Pork tenderloin was dry and overcooked. French onion soup was tasteless. Constant struggle to get any service. Main complaint is that we were not given the specials menu until we asked for it and then they were all Prestige side up. Never again.
Excellent service in a very busy restaurant. Shall be back
Excellent as always. I have never had a bad meal at Côte, and there have been a lot!!!
Excellent service, good choice and all served piping hot. I dock one star from full marks, however, as the whitebait was sold out, and I was disappointed! Very good value indeed, many thanks
It was nearly 5 and the place was no where near busy. Our food was still cold. It took a while to sort things out but then it was resolved well. Pity. We always think of Cote as reliable. Felt like it’s declining. Hope not!
Lovely meal. Just as well we booked, the place was heaving. Food here is always good
A much better experience this time, mainly due to our lovely waitress Alexandra. We have been served by her in the past and it addition to being friendly and professional she’s willing to do that bit extra to make your meal special. Food good as always. It was pre-theatre so very busy and noisy but food was served quickly.
Friendly staff. Efficient service. Good menus. The steaks were tasty and cooked just right. Cote du Rhône accompanying wine good too. Lovely apple and berry crumble too. A great pre-theatre place. Recommended. Very busy (unsurprisingly) so a bit noisy, but that gives it a great buzz. A little stuffy ventilation wise (as it’s so busy) so they may need to review their air conditioning. Great overall.
Thank you Côte! When I dined on my own on a busy Saturday night the staff were attentive and the food delicious.
Service was not up to normal standards: one starter delivered very and cold, forgot to take my birthday drinks off of the bill
Food arrived before the wine Some of the larger whitbait were insufficiently cooked and tasted unpleasant . We ordered salad with our steak bit did noy arrive
Good food. Great table and pleasant staff. Wonderful location too
Very nice friendly staff. They left us to chat over our drinks before ordering which we asked for so we appreciated that. Food was excellent and really good value
Very convenient for jazz concert at the Festival Hall. Service was very good taking into account how busy the restaurant was. Good value for money. Would recommend.
A great location and experience. Super food, service and staff. We were there for a family get together and would certainly chose this Cote Brassieres again for future events.
Excellent chain and always good food and service. Great value too. Love them!
This was perfect for a business lunch. Would recommend and book again.
The food was delicious. Great kids menu. But we had to wait a long time for it. We also found the waiters continually trying to sell us the most expensive thing on the specials board annoying.
Tuna le to have a dessert as ignored by waitress for more than ten minutes and our time ran out.
We had a lovely meal for my sons 21st so happy we chose this place as staff and atmosphere was warm and friendly and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
Another excellent meal which also celebrated my father’s birthday. It was a lovely touch that the waiting team sang happy birthday and had put and lit a candle in final course for him, especially as we hadn’t told them but they must have overheard us wishing him Happy Birthday. The Chablis and Fleurie were great wine choices and the food was excellent.
Beautiful food and atmosphere would definitely return again as the food was lovely.
Great food, service and ambiance. Great location to meet up with friends and no rush to leave table. Very civilized.
Great food , great friendly service with smile which make a nice change
we had a fine time. Thank you very much indeed
Pre-booked a table to meet up with family and friends. We all had the £19.95 3-course meal which, apart from a couple of choices not being available, was thoroughly enjoyed by us all.
Good food and good service - as ever! Place was super busy but we were well looked after. Well done you guys
Delicious food! Great cocktails! A good place to meet friends.
Very well prepared staff who worked hard in such a busy restaurant. The food was delicious.
I am very sorry to have to say this, but I walked out of this restaurant after sitting for a few minutes at my table: I suffered an actual panic attack due to claustrophobia. The tables downstairs are crammed impossibly close together. The noise is so intense that you cannot carry on a normal chat, let alone a private business discussion. There is nowhere to put people's coats, so they take up space on the benches leaving little room to sit. The ceiling is low, exacerbating the noise. This is no way to treat paying customers. It's like a cattle pen.
We arrived early for our booking and enjoyed a leisurely meal. Standard was good as usual Do not understand why I can get a cafetiere of coffee in London but not Liverpool or Chester where I am told that Cote do not do them anymore.
The food was flavoursome, but the seabass was a bit overcooked. Also I could see that an attempt to serve the seabass with a crispy skin was done, nice idea but don’t then swamp the top of it in sauoe. My advice is to put the sauce on the plate first and placed the seabass on top. This way the skin doesn’t go soggy. I was annoyed that a set menu was on offer but it turned out to be not a set menu. You needed to buy further potatoes or vegetables to make the maincourse a complete dish. I know it keeps the headline price down but it’s a sneaky way to advertise a lower price menu. I think if a set menu price is advertised the dish should be complete without the need to add extra items at extra expense. On a positive note, the gentleman serving us was completely professional, and stood out at exceptionally good at his job. I hope he moves on to great things in the restaurant industry.
Great location just two minutes walk from the Royal Festival Hall.
We were over half an hour early but were nevertheless made welcome and given a table. It was a very busy Saturday but every member of staff was courteous and efficient, as is usually the case at any branch of Cote I've been to. A very good experience.
Food and service always reliably good at Cote. Two unnecessarily loud women at adjacent table.
The staff were so helpful and came up with ideas to resolve our issues. Thank you again
Good food, good service, good value. I ordered the wrong wine, it was swopped, no charge, and no hassle.
Excellent all round Good food Good service Not hurried at all
Lovely set menu. Great for business lunch. Glad we went.
Yet another good experience at Cote. Ever reliable, excellent service and value for money
