Lovely staff. Great food and nice atmosphere!! We had a voucher for a bottle of wine. This was accepted with no problem.
Food and service was excellent but the ambiance was quite noisy.
Appalling service with well over half an hour before we received any water or our order was taken. Then another extended stay before each course arrived. We had arrived with two hours before our event started next door and we used nearly all of that time for two courses. We have eaten here many times and this is the first time we have had such an experience.
Excellent meal with good service. Particularly enjoyed the choice of vegetarian options.
A lovely brunch in a nice setting, and really good value.
Great staff and lovely food. It was very busy and it got a little too hot but otherwise brill.
We visited on a busy Friday night and chose the set pre theatre dinner. The food and service was excellent (although not everything on the menu was available). All in all a very enjoyable evening.
Brilliant location, excellent food and delicious food with friendly, helpful service
Romanian waitress was fabulous. Sorry we didn’t get her name!!
All good as usual. Guaranteed at all the Cote restaurants
Another excellent meal at Cote....there is a very varied menu and everything is always well cooked and presented.
had a good time. will be back in the future
Great food. Excellent location for royal festival hall before or afternoon the concert. We were met by one of the managers from another cote where we also dined frequently. We're remembered and greeted very well. We felt we're valued customers. Excellent staff training.
Cote is consistently good and the Festival Hall Restaurant is attractive with excellent service.
Very busy .... nevertheless quick and friendly service on Pre-Theatre Menu. Good good and drink.
As usual - all very good - plus one of our party was a bit late - but the staff were very patient and there was no pressure on us to order before they arrived etc
Lovely food and service as always! Great location for meeting friends after work.
Usually I love Cote and my local branch in Sevenoaks is usually brilliant but tonight’s Royal Festival Hall experience was not up to the usual Cote standards. The service was slow and the staff looked flustered and my cod looked like it had been dished up a while ago and had been sat under a hot lamp for ages, the sauce was congealed and the vegetables were dried out. No one came to refill our wine or even check if our meal was ok, just basic things I’ve come to expect from Cote. Raise your standards Cote, I’m a monthly visitor and I expect more!!!
Concert goers, arrived at 6.10, for 7.30 concert. Two of us missed desert, the other two missed part of concert. Not fault of Serveur but kitchen output was poor.
Fabulous food, staff and ambience as usual. My favourite in the area.
A lovely meal; and great waiting staff. Couldn’t fault it.
Great pre theatre lunch Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Overall good value for money.
Disappointing today. Extremely slow service which rather spoilt the meal which we had before seeing Julie Andrews at the Festival Hall. We were given a discount due to the poor service but it was a let down. A great shame.
Food was average. The whitebait was served with literally nothing other than tartare sauce, not even a piece of green, and same for the baked camembert. Mains were a slight improvement though my guest received a very underdone steak which wasn’t at all to her taste. Food VERY late, missed first piece in the concert we were going to.
Asked for a quiet table. Shown to table next to the kitchen where the chef was shouting at the top of his voice. I asked the waiter to tell the chef to stop shouting as it was upsetting the customers. Asked for bread to start, only arrived after we had nearly finished our meal.
We had to wait ages for our food and when we chased, there was a long wait in being told it was on the way. I think our order had been forgotten about. When the food eventually arrived, the waiting staff tried to give it to the adjacent table. The food was ok but my poached eggs were very cold.
The soups were cold but were taken off the bill. The tables are all very close together and it is quite loud
Lovely food and great service. All worked beautifully for our pre-concert supper. Thank you.
Excellent service, good food, enjoyed it very much. Only a bit noisy. And grateful for the complimentary drink for our anniversary! Thank you.
Good, friendly service. No delays, Arrived earlier than booked but was seated immediately.
This time my partner both chose Fish Parmentier. The serving dish keeps it as hot as one could wish. The high quality ingredients were well prepared, tasty and of just the right texture. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was cheerful.
Lovely food. Helpful friendly staff. Perfect for anyone using the Southbank Centre
Nice welcome. Staff polite and friendly. Food good, however, I'm sure I did not get pork tenderloin rather roasted gammon! Rather a long wait for food, however, we had time on our side, on this occasion! You need to encourage staff to not hide behind the iPad and rather offer a more personal experience.
Two of us arrived at Côte around 7.15 pm. We are regulars and enjoy steaks, normally the rib eye on the 2 course menu. I like the mousse de canard and my friend the french onion soup. We usually have a nice bottle of Côte de Rhône. On arrival told 45 minute wait, agreed and booked for 7.45 pm. Came back and shown to our table. Ordered wine and usuals (see above). Waitress came back, no steaks, no french onion soup. Could choose from main menu but no rib eyes. Spoke to floor manager and tried to negotiate a reasonable price for a replacement. No dice. Tried explaining but not interested. Left and went back for an excellent meal somewhere else. Very disappointed.
We booked pre-theatre and the food and service were very good.
Allowed us in early. Helped our evening. Staff very friendly.
Excellent service. Delicious food in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
Service a bit slow as the restaurant was very busy and we had to ask to order but once we were served the food was excellent and the staff helpful and pleasant
Really poor service tonight- we were brought our bill after started (without having asked for it) and the waitress didn’t seem to believe us that we hadn’t had our main even yet... had to wait an hour for our main. Once we completed our main the waiter took our plates. We had to ask for desert menus because no one ever offered one. Quick ‘pre-theatre’ meal took 2.5hrs... lucky we didn’t have a show booked tonight!!
The team were extremely helpful, one of our party was in a wheelchair, a table was quickly cleared and moved around to accommodate. Food was delicious and reasonable, would recommend
Reserved table not ready. Main courses arrived before starters (sent back). Bill incorrect. Complimentary cocktails incorrectly included. Worst ever Cote experience. very disappointed.
would have given 5 but the salad was served in smallish high bowl that was not conducive to eating it properly. should be a wider/shallow bowl instead. we both dumped it on our plates underneath to be able to eat. the French martini was fabulous. service was good but had to flag someone to order than pay. this is most likely due to pre-theatre crowd which we were part of. love Cote and will return.
Excellent meal, fabulous waiters and a wonderful location by the Royal Festival Hall .
Great food. Good service. Lovely atmosphere. Great value for money.
Excellent service, pleasant ambience, good quality food and a helpful manager - we will certainly book again soon!
This restaurant is too noisy. I liked your Set Menu offer - regretfully it is no longer available.
As usual with Cote a great dining experience. Good food at reasonable prices and the service was excellent too.
fabulous location with great staff. The food was excellent as always.
Seemed rushed - dropping starter herring to replace but not doing so. Lacked attention to detail. Slightly disappointing.
Friendly service, buzzy atmosphere, good location, and good food at reasonable prices (3 course meal for £20).
