Great food and service. The menu offers a good variety of dishes.
Good pre theatre dinner. Food very good and staff attentive even though it was really busy.
Perfect So glad we booked Fantastic service fab food just no Christmas decor🎄???!
As always at Cote great food but this particular restaurant has fab staff, superb service. Thank you for giving us a great Boxing Day lunch experience.
Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. Low priced food. So do not expect high class quality food, but it’s better than most restaurants for which you pay the same amount of money. I would visit it again.
You know you will always get a good meal at whichever Cote you use. And the Royal Festival Hall Cote no exception. Food was delicious, service was brilliant. And this place is so convenient for the RFH.
Perfect child-friendly restaurant for a pre-Southbank Centre Christmas show. Staff were friendly and upbeat and the food, delicious.
The food and service were very good. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. I used a gift voucher code and there was no trouble with them taking this off the bill at the end. The bench seats downstairs were handy and comfy for children.
Arrived ahead of allotted time for pre dinner meal. We were a party of 5 who were seated at a table for 4 when we asked to move to a different table were not allowed as it was to seat 6 it was not reserved. Only one waiter and female from front of house servicing multiple tables. Had to wait for them to take orders from pre theatre menu. We allowed 2 hours before the show only had starter and had to rush eating mains arrived late did not get desert. When I complained they did apologise-said we could come back after the show for deserts which we declined. They only discounted the bill by one side order £3.45 and emailed across offer for complimentary deserts. When the bill came I paid it in full I felt rushed as need to get to theatre to watch the show so didn’t realise that they had already added additional service charge of 12.5% which I would not have paid given the service.
Family Christmas meal, delicious food, very friendly staff. Very busy restaurant but good atmosphere.
Disappointed compared to all the other Cote breakfasts that I have experienced before. Coffees were lukewarm. All the 3 poached eggs ordered were hard boiled and the scrambled eggs were in a solid lump. When I informed the waitress we were a toast missing- she surveyed the table with a look that we were lying. We
We had a very pleasant lunch after waiting a little while to be served but it was Christmas time so was to be expected. Will definitely return as we all love Cote.
Overall the group was very happy with both the venue, and the Christmas meal (which isn't Christmasy BTW!), especially one person who has many food allergies, thank you! I appreciate that it was very busy but in the past the service has been much better and friendlier then we had on this occasion. Each time I ordered extra wine for the table (as the organiser) I was never offered a top up, despite my glass being empty.....not sure why that happened!! BUT would definitely go to Cote again.....as the service could've been a one off!! The house wines, red and white were delicious at a very reasonable price of £17.50/bottle, recommend.
A wonderful experience. The set menu was exceptional, the staff attentive and the atmosphere perfect.
A great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is just right, from pricing to service to location.
Good all round experience. Will happily go here again.
The food and the service were excellent, as always, even though it was very busy. Thank you very much.
Lovely food. Very enjoyable lunch. Next door to Festival Hall which is very convenient when going to see a show. Staff friendly and very efficient.
Lovely friendly service and great breakfasts ! Toast wasn’t quite toast more warm bread but felt given it was busy it wasn’t worth a complaint
We always love visiting this branch of Cote’. The food, service and ambience never disappoint. Thankyou Cote’
Very welcoming. We were able to change tables for a quieter position when we requested this. Food arrived punctually and was delicious. We found the upstairs room a bit noisy, but it was very full.
Very impressed by the efficiency and good humour of the very busy staff.
A very pleasant atmosphere and a lovely well prepared meal. Fast attentive servicoverall we had a very nice time in this restaurant
An excellent meal and superb, attentive service. Thanks guys, we had a great time.
Booked table but we were put right by bar Food not hot enough sent back new meal arrived after everyone had eaten
Excellent service, efficient, good natured, good humoured. Food very good
Five of us enjoyed a reunion lunch after visiting an exhibition at the Haywood Gallery. Cote is perfectly placed and did us proud. Our Sicilian waitress was welcoming and fun. One of the dishes, a rib-eye steak, was cold on arrival and was sent back and replaced, which upset the synchonisity. It was discounted from our final bill. All the other dishes starters, puds wines and coffees were just fine. I dine at Cote often and will continue to do so.
This place ticks a lot of boxes. Good wine, good set-price menu, good atmosphere and good, central location. Will definitely return.
The restaurant was very very busy but the service was still good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Starters were excellent and served quickly after ordering. The main courses again served in a good time but unfortunately weren’t hot and the main course items weren’t up to the normal high standard.
Great wine, steaks and coupe noir, plus friendly service. I always enjoy Cote.
Great food service and atmosphere. Always friendly and chilled even pre Xmas!
Very good food. Okay prices, especially for London. Unable to give the five star ranking because it was exceptionally noisy and because the tables were so close to each other we heard everything that was being said on the tables beside us. They didn’t like for an intimate romantic setting. Okay if you enjoy a busy environment.
Lovely meal with very good service. Just a shame they had ran out of Crewe brulee
biiked table in advance but we were outright by bar
Very good night with attentive and efficient staff. Definitely go again
Very disappointing. We are regular customers of Cote restaurants, which we like. We have even eaten at this Cote several times. On this occasion we were seated in the downstairs area to the rear of the restaurant (which we didn't know even existed). Unlike the main restaurant (and every other Cote we have visited), this area is more like a busy canteen. Despite requesting a quiet table, we were seated near the open kitchen, where it was exceptionally noisy, with the shouting from chef to waiters adding to the loud thumping music echoing off the low curved roof. It was impossible to hold a normal conversation - we had to shout to communicate with the waiter. Be warned.
Excellent meal and wine and good value for the quality.
Despite booking we had to wait for a table. It was v v busy. However we were well looked after and given a glass of fizz in the queue. When we got a table the food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff seem very happy to be there.
Lovely pre theatre lunch. Always look for Cote when visiting theatre or a shopping spree
Excellent pre theatre. Good value well prepared, timely meal ... responsive staff.
Nice meal with a nice offer, a complementary aperitif. Lovely staff too, very attentive.
Excellent food Lovely friendly and attentive staff Great atmosphere Helpful maitre de A very enjoyable festive experience
very good experience...excellent service ,good food and wine and coffee
Great food, ambience and service. We love Cote restaurants 😁
Chaotic greeting for booked table left standing for 5 minutes by the door waiting for table. Asked for fish stew without lots of mussels then served meal almost all mussels. Wine served no water as requested for 10 minutes.
restaurant very busy despite the early hour for supper, noise levels truly awful, almost impossible to hear one's fellow diner, combination of busy restaurant & terrible acoustics, staff seemed harrassed, food fine however & very handy for all the concert halls
We booked in advance. Got a window seat which was very nice. Excellent food choices. In good time for early start at Old Vic.
Lovely food and service. Would definitely lately go again. Will recommend to my friends. Also brilliant location.
Lovely food, good friendly service and nice not to be rushed even though it was really busy!
good quick service, however it is extremely loud and hard to hear in the restaurant
